DSTL needs YOU! Extra crew needed!
bergy replied to Too Tall's topic in Destination Star Trek London
Too Tall posted this on the Facebook page - I've checked with the office and as I expected, unless we are stupidly short of crew I'm afraid they will not be refunding Gold passes for people to crew -
The above photo would be great for a caption contest

I can't believe you can't find dark-skinned Vulcan ears, with Tuvok probably being the second most famous Vulcan around! It's unfair... Good luck with your search! :) There is a guy on facebook Luke Smith makes prosthetics, he might be able to make you some.

We were gutted that we couldnt get to Glasgow over the weekend. Sarah had redone her costume since LFCC including blowing up my glue gun and shorting out the electrics in the house. Everyone seemed to have had a great time, roll on next year.
-
after all the rush to finish the costumes for tomorrow and now we cant go
-
hey mate, on the main collectormania website they said they were taking submissions and when i emailed it a few months ago for the glasgow 25th one they emailed me back saying iv been entered so i think they might be doing just a masquerade instead of a competition :) you got your costume sorted? I dont cosplay, i leave that to my daughter but she is working on her costumes, when shes not distracted with school holiday stuff
-
there is usually a competition but depends on whether they can get someone to organize it. There hasn't been an official announcement either way

We were half an hour earlier. I saw the signs when people started to move and uncovered them). No staff came along the "pay on the day" queue checking anything. Having been at previous I knew to look for signs and we found them. And there was definately a man with a blue crew t shirt asking whether we had pre paid tickets because I actually took them out of the envelope they had arrived in and gave them to my daughter to hold on to.

working on little red riding hood as we speak, think there will also be Sarah's favourite cosplay, Sakura just a different version to last year.

we travel from Inverness to Glasgow for this event because we enjoy the fact of not having to sit in a train for 8 hours to meet people who dont think we are geeks because we like scifi. we may not meet many guests but go to he talks and browse the stalls. its also nice that you can walk around without being crushed like some of the bigger events

bergy replied to CherokeeRose's topic in London Film and Comic Con 2012
I'm 12 and i got all my photos on the Sunday and i had no problems, my mum was crewing so i had 5 photo shoots to get and then had to collect them all myself . -
where is everyone coming from and staying?
bergy replied to maxi's topic in London Film & Comic Con 2010
My name is Sarah and me and mum are coming from Inverness. Last year we stayed in the Trebovir hotel. Its was close to Earls court and the shops and the underground too. -
We are coming down on the sleeper from Inverness but I think ours gets in later to London than yours does.
