1. Swine 'flu IS regular 'flu. Yes, it's an easily transmissable strain but in that regard it isn't particularly different to every other strain of 'flu out there. If you get swine 'flu? Stay at home, drink plenty of fluids, and as long as you are not very old, very young or immunocompromised then YOU WILL BE FINE. If you want a very long lecture on why from an immunologist with microbiology/virology experience I would be happy to give you one.
2. Gazebo?? *hides* If I ever see tape again, it might be too soon. ;p Thanks for Sunday Idris, it was a good day! Kip
3. Thanks Mary! I hope you've warmed up a little too!
4. Thanks Mara!! Sunday was fun! Cold, but still fun. Kip
5. You're welcome guys, we just hope you had a good day and managed to keep warm, or as much as possible at least!! Kip
6. Word on this. Despite what I got told a LOT on Sunday, we don't actually like having to constantly tell attendees what they can and can't do, but it's what we have to do.
7. *g* If it was the girl in the green hoodie, then that was me. And thank you! Sorry if I annoyed anyone by repeated asking if they were in the right queue. ;p But every time I thought I'd stop, someone realised they were wrong and left. Kip
8. But since you are going to pay doesn't that sort of imply you think it's worth it? And major Sci-Fi series is a little like the big guest thing. It's more down to whether you watch it. Personally, I am a BIG farscape fan, and did love SG-1 so Ben Browder is a guest I'd love to meet. But Scott Bakula (to use Too Tall's example) was the lead in Quantum Leap - which I've never seen, and Enterprise - which I could only manage the pilot before switching off. Doesn't mean I can't see that he's going to be a big draw. Which means they'll charge more. Showmasters have to make some money along the line, and when you think about the cut the actor gets, the agent gets, the hall gets - I can't imagine the stadium is cheap to hire out, and then all of the other expenditures... they'll need to do all they can to make some money. They are a business after all. The people that work for them need to eat. And £25 is a reasonable amount of money to try and ask for because people will pay it. Having said that though - yeah, £25 is a lot of money. But the way I do it, is to not buy many autos. Then I have the money for the guests I want. (Which isn't many because most of the shows I loved have very small fanbases and wouldn't be viable bringing the actors over.)
9. Received and replied! I'm aiming for an LFCC where Graham doesn't have to carry me back to the hotel on Saturday.
10. Aww.... Kayla is delusional.
11. Merlin con? You would not keep me away. Like....Wild horses sorta thing. ;p
12. I'm sure there must be some.... like that one time... Neh, they're nuts. And I've never exactly been a candidate for sanity myself.
13. Hey newbies! You're in for long hours, and a lot of hard work, but honestly? Crewing is one of the most rewarding things I've ever done, and that's saying a lot. And in some ways the hard work is part of that fun. Plus the most of the crew are insane. Kip (Also, hi! I'm Kip, I'll be there Sunday and still relatively new at this. You guys will do great.)
14. I did!!! But averaging like 13 hours a day in the library killed my brain. However! IT'S ALL OVER!!!! *ahem* I could never be sick of you! I want to intimidate you some more so it doesn't happen again! But LAME! Apply for London Film too, so then you might be there. Cos that would be awesome! Kip (I did! I'm done!!!!)
15. *poucnes* It would be the coolest thing ever if you were there. *is honestly not online* (Ok, I admit it, I hate revising and needed to check exam times). Kip
16. Thanks Too Tall! I shall check it out closer to the time then. *does the happy dance* And Sunday means I should be able to make the shoot too! Kip
17. From the crew's point of view, it's also helpful for those that claim they didn't see the big signs saying no bags in the photoshoots. And manage to get into the photoshoot area with their bags. Kip
18. Will there be a warning if the photoshoots get low? I can't really buy one from this PC. (Work *shifty*) but I don't want to miss out on that shot! Kip
19. *grins* For me? Meeting Amanda Tapping - auto on a SG-1 shot to finish it. And Ben Browder!! *boucnes*
20. I shall sneakily hang around there with you Roxy! We will look all inconspicuous together. Kip
21. EEEK!!!! It's John Crichton. If you'll excuse me, I'm going to be having a moment in the corner here Or a lot of moments. THANK YOU SM!!! Kip
22. Good luck!! DoE is an amazing thing to do. I managed to get the gold a couple of years back! Kip
23. Quick question...I booked for a friend and I to go to Lockdown, so those tickets are in my name. She's booked for two tickets to Abrams Inc though...but the names won't match up. Is it best for her to e-mail?
24. Your pitboss will probably ask you in the morning if there are any photos/autos you would like to get. If they don't, just let them know before the show opens!
25. As always, it was our pleasure! Thanks for a great weekend! Kip
