  1. I just looked at it so it must be up now! Mark OK I'm a dummy because I can't find it I'm just getting coding on the Chevron 7.7 other events links. it looks like this Other Links Massive Events Click for More Links! Other Massive Events Conventions Warning: include_once() [function.include-once]: URL file-access is disabled in the server configuration in /home/fhlinux173/m/massiveevents.co.uk/user/htdocs/chevron77/site.php on line 58 Warning: include_once(http://massiveevents.co.uk/meevents.php) [function.include-once]: failed to open stream: no suitable wrapper could be found in /home/fhlinux173/m/massiveevents.co.uk/user/htdocs/chevron77/site.php on line 58 Warning: include_once() [function.include]: Failed opening 'http://massiveevents.co.uk/meevents.php' for inclusion (include_path='.:/usr/share/pear-php5') in /home/fhlinux173/m/massiveevents.co.uk/user/htdocs/chevron77/site.php on line 58
  2. I can top that - we had a power failure for several hours. Eeeek bad timing power company.

That's awesome news Mark thank you very much for keeping us up to date.
  5. hello, sorry to be a bother but I can't find the link for the tickets for 7.8? I've also done a search and it only comes up with 7.7 tickets
  6. OMG that's gone so quickly.
  7. From what I understand of the advertising for Chevron 7.8 it is a Stargate & Sanctuary con not just Stargate. I'm actually used to going to con's where people are very open minded and welcoming of the guests whoever they may be.
  8. I'm sure you're right TooTall. I understand everyone is entitled to their opinion but to be honest I'm quite shocked and a little embarrassed by the reaction to the announcement considering the huge crossover that Sanctuary has with SGA actors in particular, to the point where I was wondering if Chevron was even the right event for me. I hope Robin and Amanda or their rep's don't read any of this.
  9. Generally speaking there is a different..... tone (safest word that I can go with ) with the talks at Hub events in comparison to those of Chevron, and probably any other event! They are all very enjoyable though. LOL very well put, I totally understand what you mean
  10. Oh I definitely go for the talks and q&a's as well. Maybe the Chevron events are more sedate than I'm used to. I've mostly been to The Hub events which are quite lighthearted. I think it must be written into their contracts they must drop their pants at least once a day so and as a mature female I have absolutely nothing against a good looking fella dropping his pants at random moments on stage.
  11. How about some NCIS people or are we sticking to sci fi for this one?
  12. *creeps in ninja style* ssshhhh, if we're having a Sanctuary cross over it means double the reason to have boat load of SGA actors there's a HUGE crossover David Hewlett was Larry Tolson in the first webisode Christopher Heyerdahl-Todd the Wraith / Halling, Agam Darshi -Novo , Paul McGillion-Terrence Wexford, Chuck Campbell-Two Faced Guy, Kavan Smith-Det. Joe Cavanaugh, Martin Christopher-Father Clark, Christopher Gauthier-Walter 'The Adjustor', Ronald Selmour-Kanaan (Sanctuary that is.), Ryan Robbins-Henry Foss to name a few. And Michael Shanks as the wonderfully angsty and very sexy in leather Jimmy "the Pouch".... He's due for a return methinks after having to drop out of Chevron 7.5 - can we get him back again please!!!!... Deeds xx For shame! How could I forget the mighty Michael Shanks. Jimmy "the Pouch" was a great character. Maybe Amanda Tapping thought that Stragate fans were all such a friendly bunch of people we'd welcome and maybe enjoy meeting one of her co-stars who is a verynice, funny guy and likes to drop his trousers at a drop of a hat (or so I've heard).

Here's hoping it's not a pay up front deal again. I seriously can't afford con ticket and a hotel booking this close before christmas.
  14. 15. Loved the talk with Joe Flanigan. I've never been to a talk with him before. He was really funny, open and very interesting. All the different voices he kept using cracked me up. I still totally clammed up at the photo session and autograph desk....really got to work opn that.
  16. Awesome stall, hope you can make it to some more SM events in the future.
  17. Wow, that's shockingly bad behaviour. I'd certainly like to know who that is becauase I definitely don't want to give my hard earned cash to people like that. I'm absoultely certain that if an attendee wanted to see something on the stall where you were standing they would just politely ask if they could look where you were standing.
  18. I like the experience of the photo shoot but I never look that great in the actual photo. So, for me, it would have to be autograph because I get the experience and the end product doesn't get shoved in a folder never to see the light of day ever again.
  19. Personally, I prefer focused events. Although saying that I'm planning on going to Chevron 7.8 and like someone else said there is a Sanctuary guest but I don't mind because I watch Sanctuary and the actor is hilarious anyway. However, previously I've only ever attended events that focused purely on one show, mainly because I'd rather spend my limited money on something I'm really into the fandom of than lots of various shows and guests.
  20. The other thing you need to bear in mind is that you're little ones will be a lot closer to the ground than the majority of the crowd who are also trying to get a peak. I'm only 5ft 3" and find it hard to catch a glimpse of popular guests from the back of the queues. I completely understand the financial concerns, which is why I can only look sometimes too, but it's your only guarantee that they will actually be able to get to see the guests.
  21. Again I want to point out that I love Showmasters and I mean to be constructive. I really want the parties to be part of the whole con experience, not something that appears to be a last minute decision and we get notified the theme only 4 weeks before the event and consequently don't have time or money to get a costume for. Surely for a decent party things must have to be booked well in advance anyway?
  22. I'm currently researching that as well. Been there, tried that. They are really nasty little buggers about this. Well, that's just mightily inconsiderate of them. Do they not know how serious this is?!
  23. eeepppp! Does ebay frown on organ selling? I think I have a kidney I can spare.
  24. i like the idea of a winter ball. sounds fun.great idea :)Wouldn't you get rather hot wearing this? Guess it depends what you wear under it
