I'm going gold as well. It's just such a great time saver, especially as I have lots of Harry Potter guests autographs to get for my friend!

Hmm...am quite tempted to apply for the Guest Detective job. -
would you pay this amount to meet these people ?

I did vote earlier, but I would love to meet all of these, although I expect it might only be one or two of them at an event. (Keeps fingers crossed for LFCC!) I think if you do get a big guest, and they are not signing personalisations (due to time constraints) then you should announce that when you announce the guest. That way people on the forum will know in advance, and it should be displayed promiently in the venue, and programme booklet. I know we would like to have our photos etc personalised, but it probably won't be possible. -
Any advice for a First Time Convention Attendee?
Flibble replied to phil_wilce's topic in London Film & Comic Con 2011
Bring your money for autographs in £5 notes, as the crew who collect the money for autographs are often very short of these! -

Wow! The chance that Showmasters could get any of these guests is fantastic. I voted for Stan, Chris and Ewan. -
Although attendees when they are inside the show, they should be safe from Big Brother and Channel 5, but outside the venue they may not be. They could still be approached by them. Also, not everyone who attends the show reads the messageboards, and if they are approached won't know what has happened.

Many years ago (when dinosaurs roamed the Earth) I took part with some friends in a segement about conventions and dressing up in a TV show called London Tonight. We all got interviewed by Paula Yates, and it was only afterwards that we all realised that we had made a bit of a mistake as we were all presented in not a very good way and were made out to be a bit nutty. So, please don't let Channel 5 anywhere near any of the attendees. Everyone is going to LFCC to have a good time.

Thank you Jason and your Showmasters team. I'm one of the older attendees at your events and during my younger years (in the 70's and 80's) I had to take a lot of flack from people about my hobby and making costumes. (It was called Fancy Dress in those days) These people just didn't understand and didn't want to. Now, I really do not want to see anyone else go through what I had to go through. I really enjoy seeing the Cosplayers, and I know how much hard work goes into making costumes. You guys all keep at it, and never let anyone put you down!

How about Michael Chiklis?

I met him for my friend, who couldn't make the show on Saturday as she had an accident, and he's was such a great guy. Friendly, chatty and just really great. He got my "Bloody Nice Bloke" award of the show.

Went yesterday to get a couple of autographs for me (Robert Patrick) and lots for my German friend, who wanted to go yesterday, but had an accident, and couldn't make it. Met all the Harry Potter people (and I got the Phelps twins mixed up!), David Warner (lovely guy), but I must give my "Bloody Nice Bloke" Award to Nick Moran. What a nice guy he is. I appreciated the free bus service, and I just wish I could have been there today.

I used the bus service yesterday and it was great. The whole journey with a short stop at the Shopping Centre was about 15-20 minutes. On the way back it only took about 15 minutes as the bus went straight back to the station.
