  1. Hello, that was Mara! I was so happy for that last group of people, that she managed to get you through!
  2. Oh my goodness! It has been years since I logged into the forum to post, but I wanted to thank you for this comment - it made my day. I was the loud crew member, and I am actually a teacher in my day job! This weekend was my last show for the forseeable future (I have a new job abroad) and so your thanks are the icing on the cake! Honestly, folks, thanks like these are appreciated - the crew might not always reply, but we do read!
  3. I can't really comment about the rest of it, but being "organised with paperwork" was a bit of a challenge this weekend... if you kept any sort of papers on the desk, they were whipped away in that lovely, fresh breeze we had. I'm not complaining (it is, after all, such a refreshing change to have a venue where you're not stuffy and overheating) but it did make any sort of paper based task rather difficult!
  4. And a big thank you to Too Tall and the rest of you guys for having me back! I'm always mildly surprised when I get my confirmation email. I keep expecting to be blacklisted!
  5. Received and replied with bells on top. Well, maybe not bells. I'm with Rhi on the early convention. It's nice to not have to go through months of withdrawal. Anyway, I better get back to reading this Welsh. It's hard going! Nos da!
  6. Will any of us survive to see 2011? I'm already mourning the loss of my liver in advance!
  7. Thirteen years on SciFi / Syfy? I thought that SG1 was on Showtime for the first 5/6 seasons? Personally, I think a break will do the franchise good. It's much easier for a franchise to adjust to change after a break - look at Star Trek.
  8. My prop collection lives in a couple of plastic really useful boxes. Well... most of it is in one box, but my X Files Skeleton has its own box and my Shakespeare in Love prop (Tybalt's script) is framed and so on its own. My autographs and photographs are together. I never thought I'd do so many conventions and get so many, so mine are just filed in chronological order, photos and autos together, and I've got two beautiful traditional photo albums for them. I'm currently umming and ahhing over separating photos and autos, but I sort of like it how it is currently, because it tells a story.
  9. Oooh! I've heard so much about this, so that's a huge yes please from me as well! Tracy H
  10. Everyone else has said it already. But I'll say it again anyway. Thank you for everything. For being crew dad and sorting out the problems, for being crew dad and enjoying the good stuff with us. Thank you for not giving up when so many crew drop out last minute, and thank you for not rolling your eyes (too much) when we screw up. And thank you for taking a chance on us! Is anyone else sat here waiting for the Abba music to start?

    Eeek eek eek!

Hello all, Just wanted to say my thanks to everyone for a fantastic event this weekend and also for a wonderful year. This year I've been lucky enough to get to know you all much better, though the jury's still out on whether that's a good thing or not in some cases Special thanks to Wendy, Andrea and Ally who have to put up with me a hell of a lot more than the rest of you! Poor ladies! Can't wait to see you all at the next one. Tracy
  12. Are you still talking about TooTall? Sort of. One of the attendees put a rather disturbing image in my head at ET4. Every time I've looked at Too Tall since, it's made me snort with laughter. And my snorts of laughter are rather... unique.
  13. Ok.... that's it. I don't care what the "surprise" is. I'm going to be really disappointed if it's not TT dressed as Teyla. It would even beat the black, lacy knickers!
  14. But really, it's not just about this event, is it? Because whenever stuff is added in this thread, even if it's the day before the event, it gives them a good idea about which guests would be popular at future events!
  15. I'm doing it! I'm currently on 17k. Which sounds really good, but I'll be at Chev next week and CML later in the month!
  16. Yeah, either normal clothes or really dressy. I ummed and ahhed over a Wormhole X-Treme t-shirt, but you'd GET the crew shirt around that point, you wouldn't WEAR it !
  17. I will also add my voice to the Cliff Simon votes! I only need Cliff and Claudia to complete my Continuum poster signed by the main cast (and Brad and Martin).
  18. You're not very good at this helping people malarky, are you, Dave? Have you actually looked at the Earls Court events calendar, because it doesn't look like you have. Earls Court 2 has been booked by another event organiser since about last March, so Collectormania was never going to be where it's been advertised. The Earls Court site is currently showing Collectormania as being held in the Olympia National Hall on 17-20 November 2010. It's all here in black and white. http://www.eco.co.uk/event/the-entertainme...ania-london/341 Anything you'd like to add, Dave? I would respectfully like to make a correction to your post. As the original poster said, this event is being held at Olympia, not Earl's Court. Earl's Court could have the national donkey conference going on for all Showmasters care! The confusion, and it happened last year as well, comes from the fact that both venues are run by the same company. It is generally referred to as Earl's Court Olympia (ECO), but this event is at Olympia, NOT Earl's Court as you have suggested. Large companies are notorious for being unaware of what they're doing. I tried to phone up the city's main theatre for tickets for the Gang Show this coming season, and they told me that "it's not in the paper programme, so it doesn't exist". They added that they'd never even heard of a Gang Show. I know damn well the show exists and it's been booked because it happens every two years (and has done for over 50 years, at least 30 of which have been at this theatre), is booked stupid amounts of time in advance and they're rehearsing for it now. Now... I would hazard a guess that this is what has happened at ECO. They've not put it on their "main" schedule, so this woman didn't know what was happening. It is, however, listed on their website as a "consumer" event. Perhaps the person at ECO searched "entertainment" as I first did? http://www.eco.co.uk/event/the-entertainme...ania-london/341
  19. Do I *really* have to take Jackson, Sheppard or whoever that other guy is (gave up on SGU after 4 eps) or can I have Keller? If that's not acceptable, I'll get my quick peck from Sam between pieces!
  20. Great guest! He and his wife were fascinating to listen to at Autographica!
  21. They take card at the other events, including ET4, so I can't see any reason (barring technical difficulties) why they wouldn't do so for this. After all, they need it for the auction, for admissions... there's a lot of things! I was going to come to Hallowhedon when I was sorting out my diary for this autumn, but my friend has organised a signing event and I'm duty bound to attend that.
  22. One of the things that surprised me at ET4 was how little the auction items went for, compared to what I'm used to! There are quite a few SG fans with a lot of disposable income. Lucky things!
  23. I see where you're coming from, Pamela, but Kelspook hit the nail on the head. Their costumes, their choice. I know that these two are very active supporters of Sanctuary for Kids and I'm not sure they'd be so willing to put their precious costumes on the line for another charity! As Kelspook said, SFK is really far reaching and I don't see Michael and Lexa begrudging that money. Besides, it's a Stargate convention, not a Michael/Lexa convention.... so any of the charities supported/advocated/founded by SG cast or crew should be great :) I totally get where you're coming from and why you suggested that, but I respectfully disagree. Claire and Kelspook, it will be great to see the costumes there!
  24. I know, that's why I was saying :) Speaking of other events, do I get the pleasure of meeting your good self at Chevron?
  25. That's something that was definitely different this weekend. At least on the Sunday. There were members of crew in the hall at all times, checking anyone scurrying in or moving seats and doing wristband checks in between every talk. Wristbands made it quick and easy to do. However, the checks would be far easier and quicker if there were 2 or 3 more crew in the hall.
