  1. Ummm. They did arrange for people to be sent a free autograph if they had a VQ ticket under number 400. I know this as I was one of the people taking names and addresses. This offer was made at exactly the same time as the announcement that he wasn't appearing. Exactly because they realised how disapointed people would be. I left before they had even finished the announcement, I only heard Val Kilmer is not coming and I left. Do you know if I can send my ticket off now, I still have it? Jason posted on here somewhere that "he would try" if people sent them the original VQ ticket to the Showmasters address. TooTall do you know where the official answer is on this question, I've had a quick look and can't find it?

  3. My thanks too for a wonderful organisation of the hotel rooms. Cheers.
  4. The one and only ADAM BALDWIN. ok I'm biased having been part of Team Adam, but the man was a true example of everything you could want in a guest. Took his time with everyone, genuinely interested in everyone, agreed to a posed with flash photograph from everyone he met, personalised his signatures and was one all round nice guy.
  5. Cheers Chris. You, Sharon, Matt, Jola, Julie and last but my no means least Kate, were all great to work with. Until next time, when maybe my guest will turn up!
  6. hey Team Adam really rocked. Could a person ask for a better job than standing around taking 500 photos of Adam! (and if they didn't come out I'm the one to shout at... I did my best honest!).
  7. If you were the guy in the white T shirt, who asked on both days if you could leave the photos you'd chosen on the table, then I remember you... and you were stood virtually next to the stalker for both days! I was supposed to be Val's guest assistant on Saturday and was Warwick's guest assistant on Sunday and also helped out with the Val situation. Saturday: Val was ill. He had had to cancel his appearance in his theatre show on the Friday night and didn't feel up to getting to Earls Court, signing and still trying to carry two performances on Saturday as well. Sunday Val firmly intended to be present out the front signing autographs. Everything was set and his agent got out the front to tell us the drill as regards Val. (We are often briefed by agents as to personalisation, photography etc, just before the guest arrives at our desk). Bob, Val's agent walked out the front, sat down at the table and instantly recognised a lady, who has given Val so much trouble that there is a restraining order in force in the USA against her. Obviously, Showmasters removed the lady in question from the building as soon as it was pointed out, but by then the damage was done and Val was not prepared to subject himself or his children who he intended to accompany him (they wanted to meet Matthew Wood!) to the potential for her reappearance. I have been told the scale of her "stalkerness" and I can understand exactly why Val did not wish to be anywhere near her and although incredibly disappointing, I think we must appreciate his concerns for his family and respect his decision. It was an incredibly generous offer from Jason at Showmasters, Val and his agent to arrange for anyone with a virtual queue ticket to receive a free autograph through the post from Val. Bob stayed whilst we collected every name and he was available to reassure people that these will be genuine autographs. I hope that answers some peoples questions regarding the situation.
  8. It was fab.... heaven help Mr Barrowman - he will drown in a pile of drool.
  9. I'm sure it was more a question of how many people applied to crew and getting a good mix of experienced and new crew members. Mutley having worked alongside you one day and seeing you crew, it was nothing you did at all!
  10. Whenever, where-ever, you really have to see this film! I cried, laughed, screamed, jumped and genuinely enjoyed every minute. Can I get a VQ ticket for the registration queue?
  11. Well every time I ran/walked/limped past you, (which was an awful lot on Friday morning especially), I thought you looked very smart and professional. It was very nice to talk to you guys.
  12. having met him before, yes he is normally ok AS LONG AS YOU ASK NICELY, for hugs etc... However, please please remember that he will be very very busy as he's only around for two days and has been on the road all week and is going to be tired before he even starts on Sunday, so if he says No, there will be reasons. I vaguely remember that he's also anti-flash in cameras, (it does get a bit much when its all day), so keep an eye up for any signs by his signing area, which will clearly state either this or if time is really tight, "no posed photos".
  13. I will have the car there for all four days and have space for three. Early starts and late finishes though as I'm crewing. dawnandmaddy@hotmail.com is the msn.
  14. Stuart put this in another thread: So we should know who we're sharing with shortly. Knowing Stuart we will hear as soon as he can, but remember he's busy and the less we bug him, the faster he can get round to it! At least we know we've got rooms and if you're anything like me, won't spend that much time in it anyway.
  15. I got all the days I asked for, so am working all four days. But that said I've crewed lots of times now so can't help agreeing with you Ashleo
  16. sounds like a good idea Too Tall, will keep that in mind. I shall probably panic buy one at 3.55pm tomorrow night and keep my fingers crossed.
  17. You missed level 7: Have to book train tickets which now will cost much more than if you'd booked them a week ago (300 mile journey so not local!); have two children who need to know where, when or if they are being farmed out to friends/family for the weekend; have to know whether to book time off work or not; and was waiting to book party ticket until knew whether i'd be there or not, (won't make journey unless i'm crewing, so do I risk wasting £15!)... of course party ticket deadline tomorrow, no deadline on when our emails get here...
  18. The girl in the photo is called Becky. I didn't go to see Carl on the Saturday so can't say anything about her attitude... Just know her name as she signed in for duty at the same time I did.
  19. It's the train I was booked on to get back to Plymouth but the forum discussions on the tube troubles had made me decide to drive and work a full day Sunday instead..... Breathes sigh of relief for self, thanks forum for discussion and immense sadness for those who did catch the train.
  20. I've just picked myself up off the floor.. smiles all over my face. OMG that is the best. My dream guest of all time.
  21. Actually to get ticket no 70 there were only 19 people ahead of you. Someone on the organisers desk told me that SM started from 51 each day not from 1. There is a reason for this, but its late and I can't remember it exactly.
  22. Someone asked the guys how they would take over the world. Danny deadpan said "Kareoke". A long discussion was had by Danny about his support for Kerry in the upcoming elections, and how much they all hate Bush. Current projects were, Gilmore Girls for Danny and a film that he thinks will probably be released alongside Tommy's. He also did a bit about how making love to SMG in a shower was good as they were the same height, but I can't remember how that conversation started. Favourite episodes were sleepless which Danny has on in his home on a loop, Tom then said "mines Sleepless too" and Danny said, yes he comes round mine and watches it. Adam said Hush and the others then agreed with him. Danny and Tom had a go at Adam for not naming them as the best cast members to work with and accused him of breaking the pact. Strange I find it hard to remember what the other guys said.... am I biased. I also know that the trio were really sad that their bit only lasted 30 minutes. They weren't aware that the talk was going to be split into two, them and then Nick.
  23. No problem - and the chasing was extremely funny Not if you were the one trying to hang on to your camera and catch her. That woman can run. But hey at least I can say I got breathless with Mr Newman!
