1. ~A quick scan on ebay this morning, shows Christopher Lee autographs ranging from £29.99 for a printed copy to £169.00. The average price for a signed LOTR or Star Wars piece is around the £60 mark. The cheapest "authentic" auto I could find was £29.99 but not coming from a UACC dealer! So for the princely sum of £45.00 you get to meet the man himself, perhaps get a handshake, and personalisation and the security of knowing that your autograph is 100% genuine. Yes he is expensive, but then it all boils down to personal choice. If you've got the money and want to spend it on that autograph then go for it! I'd love a new BMW but can't afford one, doesn't mean that I have a go at anyone else who can or criticise BMW for how much they sell the car for. Market forces dictate what any autograph is worth, Mr Lee will be well aware of the value of his auto, (just as Buzz Aldrin was with his) and he will have set his price for attendance at the event. There are several actors I'd pay over the standard £20 mark for and if the only way people like SM are going to get these actors here is to charge more for their autographs then so be it. I don't think for one minute that Jason sits and reads the boards and thinks "hey these guys will pay £45 for X's auto so I'm going to charge that and make a bundle!".
2. But they only said they were going to make you wait one hour for Christopher Lee's announcement. The wait til Friday at 7pm announcements only occur months and weeks before the event... in the run up all announcements tend to made then and there...
3. ooh no don't think that. He is one of those rare guests that it's always a pleasure to meet. He's more than happy to chat and pose for photos.
4. hell yes.. they often do special variant dolls for shows... we could have a Jason one!!!
5. I'd already put this in the guest suggestions page and got all of one person replying saying that I should go to the stage door! He would be a great guest!

LFACC Crew Hotel

Thanks Jola. We all owe you lots of cups of coffee nah.. make that TEQUILLA!
7. On the actual photo shoot online shop page it actually states that .
8. Sorry I had forgotten been tied up with work & Guide meetings this week am sending it to you now as I write this. Thank you my dear. Received safely.
9. I have to email Keith with my email address and he's promised to send it on... but unfortunately, I think Julie may have forgotten that she is supposed to pass his addy onto me! Good to see everyone again this weekend, even if it felt that most of Sunday was spent in Tesco's buying KK Dougnuts.
10. I'm trying to plan that anyway. But as I live four hours drive away from London and his run in the play doesn't start until the week after LFACC, then he won't be at the stage door while I'm in London for this show and justifying two expensive trips in one month isn't really on. But thank you for your advice, which I'm sure was well meaning and not meant to be as rude as it came across to me!
11. Patrick Swayze is in London for a stage show from 10th July, so my guess would be that he's going to be in London rehearsing around the time of LFACC.....HINT HINT HINT.
12. you can always email them. info@showmastersonline.com is the email addy they give in the Contact Us part of the C10 Website. Please be aware that they are probably still very busy with finalising Autographica stuff from this weekend, so don't expect an immediate response.
13. What about coming down to the South West. We've got the Palace Hotel in Torquay which easily holds 1000 people in one of it's many conference suites and one of it's resturants will seat over 500 for a banquet. There are jazzy private suites, for the more discerning event attendee or a mulitude of cheap B&B's nearby for those on a budget. The hotel even has it's own golf course! There's easy transport to Torquay via Exeter or Plymouth Airports. And you get the famed seaside resort of Fawlty Towers to cap it all off!
14. Waterboy's park meet topic got closed as well. Something very strange going on.
15. oh not one of you have said The Butterfly Effect. Thats a real make you think kinda of film, as well as making you go "uech" a few times.
16. This is well worth a read and provides links to all the various ways and means of getting a cheap flight. money saving expert, They also have a free flight checker, but that only goes up to October at the moment, so you'd need to wait a week or two for November. money saving expert flightchecker

C9 Crew Hotel

Well done Jola. :applause:
18. You never know, Jason et al may pull out a Josh or Matthew sized replacement.... (gets down on knees and prays!)
19. Since when have they been snobby? I've never had a problem with them! In fact they're probably one of the most helpful and quickest places in MK come Collectormania weekend. The manager there gives crew a discount on food and drink and has done for the past 3 or 4 shows. Haven't seen any other place do that! Maybe it's just me then..... 956322 Think back to C8 and the little 'incident' that happened with me and the costa cup Ok so I was partly to blame, but I did nothing wrong, it was only an empty cup and they threw a hissy fit and reported me to Kate and threatened to ban crew from there. As for dicsounts, i've been in everal times, they can clearly see im crew yet ive always been charged full price 956513 They always give me a crew discount as well and let me nip up the stairs to the staff toilet... saving a long long walk. Thing is you have to ask for the crew discount, just wearing the T shirt isn't enough! Again i've never found them snobby, they've always been friendly to me.
20. Thank you Marina and Alex for deleting the off topic posts and allowing this thread to get back on topic...
