  1. Gareth David-Lloyd again yes please Naoko or Burn would be brilliant though as I haven't met either of them
  2. Yay, so glad he's attending, just met him at REMOVED yesterday and at the last G-Mex. Lovely, lovely guy, look forward to meeting him again! EDIT - It is against forum rules to name other events not affiliated with Showmasters.
  3. I'm there Saturday and Sunday night my dad swears by Jurys Inn hotels so I have faith they will be nice! And as for maps, try google maps BeatrixKiddo88! I've been using it to work out how to get from the Jurys to the convention, to the party, and so on! I've never been to MK before either :)
  4. ...would that translate to "7:30 pm"? Sorry, I'm not from the UK... Ahh you're thinking German translation, I remember back when I studied the language, half is always half to the hour, here it's half past :) Will try to be there for the meet-up as my friend and I are also at the Jurys. Look forward to meeting you all! :)
  5. Couldn't say it any better! Exactly those three for me, CT and JB for the same reasons and Paul McGillion because he's just brilliant in ADB and Atlantis. James Marsters only didn't make the list for me because I'll be at The Rift the weekend before so I'll be able to get his autograph there!
  6. Aww, if you can track down me and my mate who's coming with, we'll keep ya company! Don't like to see anyone on their own!
  7. Ohhh you're little ones are called Harvey and Aeryn?!! I have so much love for you right now, that's adorable!
  8. I would absolutely love to meet Kirsten Vangsness from Criminal Minds, and any of the Bones cast would be wonderful also!
  9. Same here, at G-Mex last April, and I absolutely loved it! The second my friend (who wasn't much of a Who fan at that time but was converted by the exhibition) went and we got so excited, especially when we saw ten's coat! It's a really great exhibition, a must-see for any Who fan!
  10. Both! If David Hewlett, Joe Flanigan or Rachel Luttrel were there I might die of squee! Would love to meet Torri again as well, she was so sweet at G-Mex last year!
  11. I voted for Ben Browder (although I would absolutely LOVE to meet Claudia Black as well!), Gary Jones (would like to meet Lexa Doig too, she seems really sweet) and John de Lancie (because of fond memories of him as Q in Star Trek). I'm not sure whether I'll be going or not at the moment (I'm already going to two cons over the next couple of months so I'll be broke) but if Ben or Claudia were attending then I'd absolutely have no choice but to go, even if it meant I couldn't even afford to buy food for the next 3 months or so!
  12. Awww *hugs* yeah I get knocked a lot too and have people going "why would you want to spend so much money going to those things?" and by people who hate sci-fi TV (wtf?! how?!) but they're all ignorant twats anyway! You're never to old to do what you love either! And NO ONE should mock you for buying stormtrooper helmets, I want one of the complete stormtrooper suits!
  13. I've only been going to cons for a year so I'd imagine I'll keep going for a long time and I watch a ridiculous amount of TV programmes so there's nearly always someone I'd like to meet attending. The only difference for me will probably be where I'm going to cons because I'll be in Scotland (rather than the North West of England) from september, so it'll have to be Glasgow collectormanias for a couple of years rather than Manchester, and then God knows where I'll be living after that!
  14. This will be my third collectormania, and forth convention in total so I'm still a newbie!
  15. According to google maps it's about an 8 minute drive from the coachway to The Centre so maybe twenty minutes to half an hour to walk? There's directions and such here I've been using google maps for everything it seems at the minute, comes in handy when working out how far away your hotel is too! :)
  16. I'm planning on taking about £80-100 for autographs and buying my photoshoots and such online. But if I were factoring in my hotel bill, travel costs, etc. this is costing me about £200, still a bargain in my opinion. :)
  17. LOL !!! There's still time What do you say Showmasters??? Jelly Seconded! Met him at G-Mex at the beginning of the month, he's so lovely! It'd be great if he could attend MK as well :D Just a quick side note, does anyone know how far the stadium is from the centre (my hotel is just up the road from the centre I think) and the best way of getting there if it's not within walking distance? :)
  18. Just one? Hmm there's tons of people I'd like to meet but I guess Ben Browder would probably be top of the list
  19. James Marsters goes to a lot of cons so you'll probably get the chance to meet him again. Hattie Hayridge has also done a fair few and so will probably be back again I would think. I'd say definitely go and meet John Barrowman, from what I've heard he's a lovely lovely guy and I don't think he does many cons so you might not get another chance for a long while! Not sure about the others, if I remember correctly Paul McGillion did another CM last year so it's entirely possible that he'd be back again in the near future. Hope that helps a little? :)
  20. I've only met Marina Sirtis but I didn't have the best experience with her. Her talk was brilliant and she was really funny and everything but when I went to get her autograph she barely said a word to me. But she looked really tired and as Lizzy says they are all just people and have off moments. But yep, Gates McFadden would be a wonderful addition to CM, from what I've heard she's lovely so it'd be wonderful to meet her!
  21. It was initially going to be on the Sunday but now it looks like a may have to stay the whole weekend. quote name='kimmi' date='Mar 29 2008, 11:01 PM' post='1177869'] I picked a random day and time and put it into www.trainline.com and got: Duration 4hrs50 WARRINGTON BANK QUAY 07:08 Train (VIRGIN TRAINS) BIRMINGHAM INTERNATIONAL 08:52 Train (LONDON MIDLAND) COVENTRY 09:20 Bus (LONDON MIDLAND) NORTHAMPTON 11:15 Bus (LONDON MIDLAND) MILTON KEYNES CENTRAL@11:58 When are you travelling? I got told that there are coaches running Luton-MK, eg on Sunday: LONDON ST PANCRAS INTL 17:36 Train (FIRST CAPITAL CONNECT) LUTON 18:30 Bus (VIRGIN TRAINS) MILTON KEYNES CENTRAL 19:15 Ohh that's not too bad, that sounds like a pretty good option and gets there pretty early! Thank you! Nope, I'm from a little further up the road - Fearnhead! Small world though, eh? Thanks for all your help anyway everyone! :)
  22. Wow, 9.50 hours?! That's crazy! Seems it is affecting this area somewhat too unfortunately. Ahh well, thanks for your input :)
  23. Just tried it but unfortunately the coach doesn't get there until after lunchtime and heads back pretty early so it wouldn't be worth going all that way for such a short period of time. But thanks anyway :)
  24. I've noticed a few posts along the lines of issues travelling down to MK from up north and I'm wondering if anyone has any further details? As far as I can find it says nothing about it on the national rail website so I'm a bit confused as to what's going on. I'm travelling down from Warrington so if anyone knows whether the train lines are okay from here on that weekend or anything I'd really appreciate it! Unfortunatley I can't afford to stay over in MK to avoid travelling down on the weekend and I believe a coach takes absolutely hours from up here and so I'd have to leave at a ridiculously early time in the morning so trains seems to be my only option. Thanks in advance
