Nolan North has done UK conventions before, so he's good to suggest! (Don't think that breaks the forum rules...?) He is in the UK at the end of the month I know that much. A lot of that list are Uk actors who have done cons before anyways. Some i know won't happen but would be prepared to sell kidneys if they did!

Some a lot smaller!

How was your expereince of the queues, did you get to the front without hassle? Did you get a front-row seat for all the talks? When you look at the number its a HUGE number but when you look at some of the amazing inclusions you get its such good value. If you're a huge trekkie and love all the series its a no brainer. Just two examples (rough numbers) Shatners auto was 65 and photo was 55 Christophers auto was 40 and photo was 30 There were around 20 guests and if you say they are all charging 20 an auto thats 400 and add the two above is ish 600 Then you had some awesome merchandise which had to be around 500 for that. Thats 1100 just on autos and merchandise. If you then include the photo ops at lets say 15 per guest there is a further 300 so thats 1500 ballpark. Then you received a pre-signed (well it was signed at the event but still) poster which has everyones autos on it so thats a further ish 1300 so there is 2500 ish on that. On top of that there was every talk available so lets round that up to 500 and there is the 3k plus I know there was so much more perks to the package let alone the queue jump option to enable you to do everything. Don't look at the overall number look at the individual options and its SO SO good value for money.

Personally for whats on that list you are better walking the 10 mins to Resorts World for the choice :)

You can pretty much see both venues from each other. NEC, Hilton and Resorts World are VERY close to each other.

NEC has nothing technically except a Subway As suggested above Resorts World (about a 10mins walk from venue) is the best best with shops and stuff. If you want to venture in Birmingham City Centre its only a 10min train ride either way

I would say park at Tile Hill but the last train is 10:15pm so might be stuck. I would imagine there are lots of free places to park around Birmingham or places that restrictions end at like 6pm etc Thanks for this. I don't mind paying for the parking as I was going to be paying at the NEC anyway. I have looked at the train stations website and the costs are similar for parking but not so clear as to any restrictions and I am not sure how easy it will be to get back to the train station after the NEC closes as it seems the bridge across form the station car park leads straight into NEC boundaries. I would guess you will be fine. Unless you park at Resorts World (in the same venue) as these are normally open later as they have concerts and food places that will close around 12-1 anyways

Don't park at the NEC!! I would park at Tile Hill train station which is a 8 min train ride and its £2.10 each way on the train. The trains are pretty much every 10-15 mins

There has never been a Problem with non-Star Trek items before. I can't see Christopher being any different. Whenever I was near his area in Frankfurt Karl Urban seemed to sign a LOTR Picture. At DST3 in 2014, William Shatner and James Darren both signed my T. J. Hooker DVD boxset; Denise Crosby and Jeri Ryan both signed my The Flash (1990s) DVD Boxset and Karl Urban signed and personalised (without me having to ask) my DVD copy of Dredd. I had other non trek items signed by the behind the scenes guests too. So I agree, there should not be a problem with getting Back To The Future items signed. WOOP!! Excited much now. My FIRST signed pop will be the legend that is Christopher Lloyd!!!

Would BTTF items be allowed to be signed by Christopher do we think?

How can you say that? Shatner, Weaton, Takei, Lloyd They are all AMAZING guests. Yes others might of been invited but you don't know what goes on behind the scenes in the busy SM towers! I for one can't wait!
