  1. What about Brian Cosgrove and Mark Hall, the geniuses behind Dangermouse and Duckula, or even Gerry Anderson et al. who have done signings before?
  2. Having watched the 100 Greatest War Films last night on More4, I thought Autographica should try for some actors such as Sir Donald Sinden and Virginia Mckenna from The Cruel Sea. I know they have had Richard Todd from the Dambusters before. I re-iterate the call for Great Escape stars also! Anybody else interested in seeing actors such as these?
  3. Great Idea! I recommend John Leyton, David McCallum, or even Dickie Attenborough. All worth a try...
  4. How could I forget! I met him at a talk in London a few years ago and could have gone on for hours. He was gracious enough to sign for every single person at the talk before leaving (around 200 people). Why not given him a go Showmasters.
  5. Don't forget the mighty Bruce Hopkins! I emailed him about another show UK and claims he hasn't been asked. I'm sure I'm not the only one who would love to meet Gamling again!
  6. Definitely people who haven't signed before such as Ian Holm, Marton Csokas, and Sir Ian Mckellen (even though I have his) and even the Weta team i.e. swordmakers to sign lotr weapons etc.
  7. I am in email contact with Bruce Hopkins who says he would love to come to another show but hasn't been invited. He is a great personality and has plenty of set stories So Showmasters why don't you ask him? Apologies for large size
  8. Sounds a cracking idea, please try and get them Showmasters!
  9. thanks a lot will do. No doubt there will be "elijah-size queues" for david and miranda. So it looks like another early drive to mk to queue outside and watch helplessly as people jump the queue time and again.
  10. Anyone know a good place to buy lord of the rings 10x8s? Looking for one with David Wenham and Miranda Otto.
  11. I saw her too. On the Thursday evening in the White Horse Pub in Headington she was having a drink with her family, no-one bothered her though. I saw her too. On the Thursday evening in the White Horse Pub in Headington she was having a drink with her family, no-one bothered her though.
  12. Hello fellow Oxfordite I was under the impression she goes to Headington Girls School on the London Road in Headington. My friends have seen her in Cult Clothing in Gloucester Green a couple of times, but apparently she was heavily disguised.
  13. I live in Oxford and a couple of my friends say they have seen her, but I never have. I've seen and met Philip Pullman, guys from Radiohead, and others but never Emma. It's not that I'm a big Harry Potter fan cos I'm not. It's just she is rather attractive..... Whereabouts in Oxford did you see her?
  14. What about Richard Todd (The Longest Day, The Dam Busters), he's 87 though living in linconlshire.
  15. I would like to see more Narnia guests such as; John Howe: Conceptual Designer Kiran Shah James McAvoy The Children Come on people!!
  16. Probably my extended version of Fellowship of the Ring (albeit a tiny bit battered by now), signed by: Sir Ian McKellen, Sir Christopher Lee Howard Shore The Four Hobbits Andy Serkis Bernard Hill Karl Urban Rick Porras Royd Tolkien Gino Acevedo Bruce Hopkins Lawrence Makoare Sala Baker Bob Anderson Craig Parker and several others!
  17. Either Christopher Lee or Sir Ian McKellen, both charming gentlemen.
  18. I went for a couple of months in 2003. If youre looking for LOTR sites then definitely buy the LOTR location guidebook by Ian Brodie, it was handy for me. North Island - Auckland is okay. Matamata i.e. Hobbiton is a bit further south Wellington is a cool place, stay a while there. You can see where the hobbits scrambled off the road very easily as it is on a hillside overlooking Wellington. South Island - Head for the Otage region for pellenor fields, rohan Stay a while in and around Queenstown as there are several lotr sites. Milford Sound and the train ride from one side of the island to the other (christcurch to ?) Christchurch is quite nice, a bit like a large Oxford (my home town). Anyway just buy the book, that and lonely planet.
  19. 20. No bring him to LFACC2 because of the crowds!
  21. I was lucky enough o attend a small Q+A with him at the Odeon Covent Garden not long ago. It followed the showing of Emile, a film he did a couple of years ago. As soon as I had got out of the taxi he was there and me and a couple of others politely asked for an autograph (I had brought my Fellowship of the Ring EE DVD) and he was very polite and chatty. When he came into the cinema he sat down iwith the audience of only about 20 or so, watched the film, then took general questions. However as soon as he went to leave he was swamped by the younguns on the front row, and I only witnessed him signing for around 10 people before he apologised and said "Im sorry I can't sign for everyone, I really have to go and meet friends" which was fair enough to me. I was lucky to meet him beforehand. Bring him to C6 though, he understands the fans.
