  1. Great announcement. Going to be an insane scramble for VQ’s at only £15 and with so many other Who guests there. Great price.
  2. I posted the link to this literally 6 posts above your question
  3. @FanGirl I’m afraid it’s definitely true sadly. It probably doesn’t get picked up on a whole lot because let’s face it, whose going to challenge a person pushing someone in a wheelchair about whether they are a “paying” carer or a “free” carer. It would be impossible to police but I always play fair and buy my own ticket whilst being a carer too. The rule is right there on the accessibility page near the top beside “Carer Entry” http://www.londonfilmandcomiccon.com/index.php/accessibility
  4. Great thanks. I think I’ll risk it and buy the weekend tickets tonight then contact the shop tomorrow to attempt a refund. It’d be just my luck that they’d sell out before and I won’t get a reply from the shop until tomorrow sometime anyway. Thanks again @The Friendly Dalek
  5. I thought so but my question was really more about the wristband thing as if it means faster entry (ie no scanning) on the Sat and Sun then we’ll do it otherwise we’ll just buy Friday tickets.
  6. I’m going to hijack this thread sorry as I have a ticket related question and I don’t want to start a new one. My partner and I have Saturday and Sunday tickets but can now make the Friday too. Instead of just buying individual Friday tickets would it be likely that we could contact the shop and upgrade to weekend ones (while stocks last)? I believe this would mean wristbands and quicker entry on the Saturday and Sunday (correct me if I am wrong please)?
  7. You can have a ticket number and be a carer. I am attending with my partner who is disabled and I’ll get to be her carer for the weekend (again much to her amusement). It just means that if your carer does not have a ticket he/she cannot engage in any activities at all. Cannot Q for autographs of their own for example.
  8. Excuse my ignorance please as I’ve never been to the Olympia before but what is the difference between the arrows (entrances according to the key) and the lettered “gates”? specifically my partner requires disabled access so is it the gate (H) or the blue arrow entrance that we use?
  9. I don’t see it as clutter no and there is no need to apologise or use quote marks I’m not a mod I’m just trying to be helpful. Believe me these forums do get cluttered very quickly with similar questions and posts getting made over and over. Just trying to politely point out the other thread in case you had missed it.
  10. There is already a similar topic discussing this. It is always an idea to browse the forum before starting a new thread just in case. It can get quite messy this close to the con and it’s best to keep the clutter to a minimum.
  11. As Broo says ALWAYS check with them first and then give them both order numbers so you have prove that you have just bought the diamond pass. Otherwise it looks like you have bought a diamond pass and a photo op and are just trying to get a refund for a photo op which is not allowed.
  12. Careful Nicky. It’s not normally permitted to discuss prices on the forums but markets fluctuate and inflation’s a real b***h. Things go up in cost all the time. The prices aren’t just pulled out of the air they are carefully worked out when the contract is drawn up.
  13. This is common at this time as we get nearer and nearer to showtime. It’s less than 2 weeks away now and it’s past the last pay day before the show, people who have been swithering over whether or not to buy things will bite the bullet so things that have been selling slowly will begin to sell out fast. I’d advise getting your purchases done as soon as possible now to avoid disappointment.
  14. Thanks Queen. Yeah I know the guests won’t have paint pens I was referring to her own personal ones. I knew it would be limited to the colours they usually use at the signing desks. That’s good news that she can at least try to request a colour if she wants. Thanks again.
  15. My girlfriend is sending in some of her own items for signing and has a question. She is very picky about her paint pens that she uses to get things signed and has a colour co-ordination for her figures that she likes to stick to. Now it is fairly obvious (isn’t it?) that she can’t send in her own pens with her items but is there anyway to specify what colour the items are signed in? Is this service offered as part of the personalisation service or is it just whatever pen the guest is using at the time?
  16. There are a few bugs in the system it seems. I got asked for a Billy Gunn batch number when I bought my Ray Park shoot but it still had Ray Park’s Name at the top despite having Billy’s with the batch number. As long as the name at the Top is correct you should be fine but I’d contact the Eventbrite shop to be on the safe side
  17. I know @Raylenth Just being over protective. It is funny watching them jump up and down the list over the months.
  18. I’m a living testament to the power of advertising. It’s so easy to get swamped and lost in the multitude of guests at this con that I completely forgot Peter was going! I got his autograph in Glasgow a couple of years ago but just saw the Showmasters ad on twitter and suddenly remembered he was going and bought a photoshoot. He does not deserve to be so far down the list on the web site IMO. Get him up near the top! Man is an absolute legend!
  19. You don't need to pick up entry tickets or photo ops. The tickets are the pdf attached to the email that eventbrite send you when you buy them. Either print them off so they can be scanned or have them ready on your phone. I usually take printouts as backups in case of phone failure anyway.
  20. Another potential gremlin? It's not letting me purchase a photo op for Ray unless I select a batch number for Billy Gunn too??
  21. It’s a common misconception by many of my fellow Scots but to clear this up Scottish notes are NOT legal tender in England. They are legal currency as they are UK Parliament approved but it is entirely up to the vendor if they accept them and they are under no legal obligation to do so. Most of England is OK but I have had issues in London on quite a few occasions but less and less recently. Boring details here https://www.scotbanks.org.uk/banknotes/legal-position.html Showmasters definitely take them though. Can you imagine the hassle they’d have at Glasgow Film & Comic Con if they didn’t? As for these kilt meme’s I’m going to have mine on at LFCC but I don’t intend on any of that nonsense above, and no I’m not telling you what’s underneath it. Well not unless you ask nicely
  22. I’m really looking forward to Eccleston as he’ll be the first new series Doctor I’ve met. Or Capaldi, depends which queue I join first I just need 10 and 11 like you guys but I have also met 2 and 3. I was just a kid when I met 2 so didn’t ask for an autograph, something I still massively regret.
