It might not have been Showmasters decision. Often its the agents or the guests decision. But anyway, to the OP, autograph sessions are for autographs. Photo shoots are for photos. Talks are for talks. Sometimes there is time to get a photo and have a chat at the autograph table. Other times there aren't. Sometimes its a "hi, how are you? Here you go, thank you" and move on. Are you critising Showmasters or Patrick Stewart?

Sorry to hear about your troubles. There are a number of ways it could have happened. May have just brute forced it (once they'd found out your email address was valid), they have been able to plant a trojan/spyware onto your system. If you haven't already, I'd run a full virus scan. Make sure your AV software is up to date, Windows patches/updates are up to date and your firewall is on. If you use a wireless network make sure it has encryption. There's the usual advice that gets given out. Dont open emails if you don't know who its from. Dont open attachments unless you're 100% sure they're not infected. Dont click on links in emails unless you're sure they're legit.

SM are not stupid. They learnt alot from that weekend. Thats why its been moved back to EC2 and a whole host of other changes in place ready. They know what they're doing. It's been moved back to EC1 because when the event was held last year, EC1 had already been booked by something else, this year SM simply got in first assumedly - nothing to do with them "learning from their mistakes." Also, what are these other changes you speak of? Security infront of the guests rather than just behind them? Motion sensing gun turrents that can detect when an attendee doesn't carry a VT for the guest they're helping to crowd? Frankly I'm surprised that these people don't also complain that it's a chuffing liberty that they have to come down to a shopping centre in MK to get their autograph - I mean surely for 20 notes the elitist snob of an actor should be dropping round my house to sign stuff, and preferably bringing a couple of beers for us to split. Anyway given that some people have such selfish and ludicrous demands to make of guests, I'd have thought that that made their judgements of guests' characters questionable at best Brilliant post.

The congestion around Costa can get quite bad. Perhaps removing some of the stalls then compressing the dealers area to give a little more room might help. But you cant stop people being inquisitive, nosy and just generally standing in the most awkward places

Yeah, there were engineering works happening on the Monday that I had to catch a replacement coach (during which my phone got stolen, I missed my connecting trains, then they were delayed.....not a good day )

Think most people would rather have him for 1 day than not at all. There is no guarantee he can make another day.
