Bar staff dressed like Star Trek characters and they should at least look like they are not miserable. Program should be included in sliver,gold,platinum,and vip ticket holder packages. A choice of what pre bought autos are in our ticket package ( i only got Casey Biggs auto in person because he was pre assigned.Im not really a fan of him). A screening room showing Star trek episodes and movies on blu ray. Competent ticket staff ( though id like to point out that several at the weekend were very understanding and helped me out when i really needed them). Clear and roped queue lines.The scrum for photoshoots at stage A was quite dangerous and people could have been injured Hillsborough style. Proper air conditioning.This was especially awful.I was nearly passing out due to the humidity and i wasnt alone.When queuing for photoshoots you could see people waving books and tickets in front of their faces in an effort to cool down. A stunt show that has an actual star trek theme to it.This was by far the biggest rip off of the whole weekend and everyone should have been partly refunded for this insult to our intelligence. Bigger stages for all talks and debates

When i saw the prices of the drinks i balked at having anything more than a carlsberg and a mineral water.I only stayed at bot parties for about and hour and a half as there was no Trekkian atmosphere at the venue and terrible sound.The bar staff looked a bit overwhelmed and were actually quite unpleasant.They looked like they didnt want to be there.Why was there no effort to Trek things up by having them dress up as Star Trek characters? For the price of the entry ticket they could have included at least one complimentary drink and some food.No effort to decorate the big empty hall to look like star trek,not enough seats.And there was NOTHING at the '' TNG '' party to make it a TNG celebration!

There was a girl who was dressed as 7 of 9 in her purple outfit on saturday and was dressed as Deanna Troi ( Blue dress ) on saturday night.She was absolutley gorgeous and when i had a photo taken with her at the sat night party she said that she had a photo taken with her earler but i couldnt remember.It was then that i realised she was seven of 9 earler in the day and i didnt recognise her.I wish i took more time to chat her up because i had huge crush on her.

Sounds like it should have been called a DS9 or ENT themed event. The drinks were very expensive and there was no effort to decotate the place to make it look like a star trek paryty. Oh well i did meet some cool Trek fans and had my photo taken with some sexy orion slave girls!

A TNG themed party with actual TNG elements to it.

The parties were indeed a disappointment.The talent on the stage were fine but the setting was poor as was the acoustics.Dominic Keatings stand up act was funny at times but most of his jokes were just not very funny,and inappropriate for a star trek themed party.And as others have said why was it advertised as a TNG EVENT when there were no TNG guests there or any decoration.What have bumper cars got to do with Star Trek? If i wanted that i would have gone to a carnival. The saving grace for me was that i met Tricia O Neil and Martha Hackett there and had a nice chat with both of them.Very nice ladies and very friendly!

Next time if they advertise a star trek themed stunt show then it should involve more than just a bunch of guys wearing star trek t shirts falling down and jumping around like monkeys. A goody bag should have some actual goodys in it.Not just more advertising, a badge thats about the size of 5p,and a beer mat.

I met Tricia O Neil for a pre assigned autograph as part of my silver package.If i had had the choice i would most likely gone to the trouble of getting an auto from her but i am glad that i did because she was absolutlely lovely and really in awe of the whole experience of conventions (she said it was her first).She was very chatty and i had the pleasure of meeting her again at the TNG party along with Martha Hackett who was also lovely and asked which part of Ireland i was from ( she some how guessed my nationality by hearing my accent ). I didnt have the funds to go for more autos and would have loved to have met Nana Visitor,Robin Curtis,and Denise Crosby.Maybe next time... The start of the whole weekend however was KATE MULGREW! Her final talk on sunday was a great way to end the weekend and she is just a LEGEND!

I came from Ireland.It took less time to fly over to england than it did to queue up to collect my pre bought tickets.

Overall i enjoyed the weekend but agree that it was a horrendously expensive one in many aspects.I didnt mind the prices for the captains photos but thought what came in my silver package just wasnt worth it.The stunt show? what a JOKE.Just a bunch of free running guys jumping around on handlebars for a few mins wearing Star Trek shirts.Ridiculous.It wasnt even worth seeing if it had been free.The b stage was WAY too small for talks and i couldnt get in to a single one.On arriving on friday at 2:30 i queud up for my ticket and it was chaos.I was standing in line for at least an hour and a half to pick up tickets i had already ordered and even then i had to go back when i found they hadnt given me all the tickets i was entitled to.And that damn woman shouting '' NEXT '' was annoying and rude to the extreme! It was too late for me to attend my photoshoot with Shatner on that day but one of the managers very kindly signed my ticket when i enqired and i was able to get my photo the next day. The captains talks were great but i agree they should have been on a more elevated stage so we could all see them better. Best part of the weekend for me was Kate Mulgrews solo talk on sunday.She is an amazing woman and a real entertainer.When the guy holding the mike in the audience told her it was nearly time to wrap things up,Mulgrew said '' Not if i have anything to say about it! '' and stayed to answer more questions for another while.Some of those guys should not have been allowed up on stage with her though at the end.She asked for four and some of the older blokes should have been told by the staff to go back to their seats.Real lack of security there. Casey Biggs,Rene Auborjonois,Ron Moore,and Tricia O neil were part of my assigned autos and i have to say they were not the ones i was dying to get.They were all nice of course but i would have liked to have had some choice as to what autos i would be getting in my package. Overall though i had an enjoyable weekend despite some rip off prices,worthless '' goody bags '',pointless '' stunt shows'',and excessively long queing times.

The photoshoots with the captains that i got (Shatner,Stewart,and Mulgrew) were understandably short but im glad i got them.It was an honour to meet them in person and i will cherish the photos forever.When i went to get my Stewart photo there was a guy a few places in front of me who asked to shake his hand and Patrick politely refused.Its understandable really to keep shaking so many hands all day must get wearing and then theres bacteria! So knowing this i didnt ask to shake his hand and just said '' Hi Patrick '' and posed for the photo.I like to think he appreciated me me not asking to shake his hand.Nice man. Incidentally,was anyone here around when Patrick was signing autos on Saturday and some hot young chick dressed up as an Orion Slave girl got up on the back of some guy and shouted ''PATRICK! I WANT YOUR BABY!!!!!! '' (LOL)

She sounds like a great lady.I did not get to meet her personally but she did look fabulous over the weekend.

Count me in for a squee! Iv been watching classic Trek all week to get myself in the mood for the weekend.Going to watch my favourite episode ever '' The Doomsday Machine '' before going to bed before my trip in the morning.Have a great time everybody and may see you all there!

Jeez, that sucks for people traveling on saturday.Im lucky im arriving on friday and staying in the docklands area for the whole weekend.Thanks for the warning however.
