Hi all !!! I've checked this topic and I think I've not posted my introduction. My real name is Bruna, I'm italian, 53 years old, married from 32 years, with a daughter. I worked in a Stationery-shop for 22 years, then I closed it and had many troubled years due my father very bad health situation..... I've always loved Sci-fi and Fantasy movies ( Lord of the Rings saga, Harry Potter saga, Matrix, Highlander, Ladyhawke, and many more ....) I've discovered the London conventions 10 years ago, when I went to meet Kevin Sorbo ( Hercules) and since then I try to go every year to the LFCC. In Italy there aren't Sci-cons, so I love to fly to London and go there to find lovely movies-merchandise, and live the amazing Convention experience! As you can read in my siggy, I'm a HUGE Scott Bakula fan and the pic here is one of my most joyful moments I had at the Destination Star Trek Con. Unforgettable moment!!!!

Conversations with guests
fantasyfan replied to StuartG2198's topic in London Film and Comic Con 2015
I've not studied English language at school and what I know , I've learned by myself translating english articles from magazines, reading books ( with Vocabulary at my side ) and listening movies in original language, for years. So, I can hardly take a conversation with an actor due : my limited experiences with "talk-in-english" , my emotion at the meeting ......so, I usually start with a handshake and "Hi! Nice to meet you!! I come from Italy" - or " So happy to see you here !" On past LFCC I met Jamie Bamber and I had ready in my mind a short "congratulation-phrase" to tell him. When I said him I was Italian, he started to speak MY language , very fluently!!!!! In fact , he said me he studied Italian in a city near to my city, in North-Italy . I was almost shocked! So, we started to speak in Italian and I said him how I appreciated his role in "Law & Order UK" Tv-serie. Jamie thanked me and I was really happy because he kindly accepted to take a pic with me at the table! YAI !!! I had another brief conversation with Scott Bakula at "Destination Star Trek - London" Con. but it was very short ( I gave him a little gift, and he thanked me, and after his autograph on the Archer pic I gave him, he looked at my T-Shirt - with the Enterprise cast printed on it- and he told me "nice shirt!" I thanked him and wished him a nice trip to his home. He shook my hand ......and ........goodbye...... I would like to ask questions , but ......I can't.....BTW, I can listen and try to understand all the words. -
Thanks for your story about Mark Hamill. It's so pleasant to read your appreciation words about Mark, an actor who has played a "hero" who gave to all Star Wars fans memorable moments in the entire saga. From my point of view, if a person wishes so much to meet an actor , it's a good thing try to meet him. The experiences I've had, have been really positive, for me, and I've realized some dreams I was dreaming from many years. No one can never imagine the absolute JOY I felt when i met Scott Bakula. He was so nice and friendly with me even if I was talking in an horrible english ! I think that an actor deserves to hear directly from his fans that a movie, a TV-serie he has worked in , gave them emotions ( sweet emotions, sad emotions .....) because only the people who watch their works can tell them how good was his involvement with the character played. I've had very sad years during my life, and watching movies or TV-series was the only way to escape ( for a bit of time ) from my unpleasant reality. ( I apologies for my long post ..........)
