  1. Yeah, I'll agree on the cost of importing. My biggest import is a huge Army of Darkness statue, I paid about as much to get it through customs as I did to actually buy the thing. Pretty much doubled the price. Are you sure you can't find what you're looking for domestically? My sister has used Battle Orders Ltd with a great deal of success.
  2. I had an interesting trip back from work today. I usually get a lift home, but nobody was available today so I walked to the bus stop. It being heatwave weather and all, I wasn't best pleased about it. So I sit down at the bus stop, it's a quiet street, nobody around. Then I notice the two pretty blonde girls in tiny bikinis washing a car about twenty feet away. They had every box ticked: giggling, jumping up and down, throwing soap on each other, spraying each other with the hose. Cars were beeping at them, a guy on a bike practically crashed because he was craning his neck to watch them. I told them they should start charging tickets, which made them all giggly. Unfortunately my bus showed up then, but I got a shout and a wave as I went, to the chagrin of the girl getting on the bus behind me. Must have been jealous. It's reassuring to know that the stereotypes really do exist.
  3. Awesome, thanks for that.
  4. I'm considering dragging my Jason Voorhees Halloween getup out of the closet. It looks a bit odd (because I'm a pretty small guy) but the custom-made masks are gorgeous. A couple of photos... 1 and 2. What do you think, good idea?
  5. Sent mine in a few days ago, just waiting for it to be put up. Hope it went through okay!
  6. I'm very sorry to hear that, bud. My sympathies go out to you. Just have faith that the next girl, whoever she might be, won't treat you so terribly.
  7. Jacob's Ladder. Wonderfully suspenseful and surreal film that keeps you guessing until the end. Similarly, but executed entirely differently, Cronenburg's Videodrome. Now that is one MESSED UP film. If you want to be a little disturbed in addition to giving your mind a workout, look either of those two up.
  8. Well, I give up. I can actually hear myself ageing. I reckon I could tunnel through that brick wall with my head. I'm going to give it a go.
  9. This debate is wearing thin. There are so many other things I could be doing. Tegan, you're not always nice, and if you truly believe that you are, then I feel sorry for you. I'd be more than willing to discuss this with you on MSN - you know my address - rather than wasting bandwidth on this forum. I'm willing to give you a chance. Hanging around on this board irritating people is accomplishing nothing.
  10. By calling everybody a fool and a hypocrite? That's not my idea of nice.
  11. Tegan, this is what I'm talking about. You'll happily ignore what people are saying and irritate them, but as soon as its turned around, you can't handle it. I don't mean to be nasty to you, it's not in my nature, I'm just making a point. I've offered my friendship to you several times and you've blatantly ignored what I'm saying. You're not being nice to people, so why should they be nice to you? Treat people the way you wish to be treated. That's how I live. You should give it a try.
  12. I'm going to miss Billie Piper a great deal, but Freema was great in Army of Ghosts. Pretty, young and charismatic. I can easily see her being a good companion. Not sure about the name Martha, but I guess we'll find out. Looks like the "surprise" for the Christmas special is Catherine Tate. I look forward to it. This series has been excellent, really built on the foundations of last series. I hope they can continue that momentum.
  13. And considering the way you cling to both your behaviour and this forum itself, oddly apt.
  14. I'm not much into my crude humour so I feel I'm lowering myself somewhat by explaining it explicitly, but eh. A "tagnut" is a small amount of excrement that remains lodged in your anal hair following the process of excretion itself. Phew, at least I managed to get a couple of long words in there. My cover is intact.
  15. I knew somebody here would be crude enough to know it. Congrats, Kell.
  16. I'm just waiting for someone to ask me what it means. It's got nothing to do with the act of tagging nuts, either.
  17. Tegan and Tagnuts? It's a more cleverer () play on words than Manny and nana, anyway. And if you don't like it, then perhaps you need to respect other peoples opinions before they respect yours.
  18. Gee, I didn't see that coming. Maybe I should call you Tagnuts? I'm not going to explain what that means, but if anybody knows, it seems rather appropriate for our little hanger-on'er here.
  19. I'm not the sort of person to get bent out of shape because someone calls me a different name. Unless it's offensive, of course. I come to forums to make friends and have fun, not to argue. I have no problem with Bernárd (or nana for that matter). As long as you don't string them together and get Bernána... that would just be horribly, horribly wrong. My skin isn't yellow and nobody is peeling it off without my express permission!
  20. Kell, David, I like how after you make such a fuss over Tegan calling me nana, you go out of your way to call me Bernárd.
  21. Kell! I told you my highly embarrassing first name in confidence! How could you betray me like this? Okay, yeah, fine, it's Joe.
  22. Good idea, Kell. Okay, since I'm one of the newbies you mentioned, I'll make my contribution. My name is Joe, but I go by Manwards or simply Manny. I'm 22, I live in Leicester, officially the most boring place in the world. I have a dull warehouse job but it pays the bills (sort of) and my real passion is for writing. I've done a few stories here and there, mostly just stuff for the enjoyment of myself and my friends, but I entered an SFX Magazine contest a while back (still waiting on the results) and I'm planning to write a novel when I get the time. To distract myself from writing my fame-garnering and award-winning novel, I play videogames (I've been pretty inseparable from my Xbox 360 the last couple of months), watch movies (horror or sci-fi, generally, they can be so creative), read (at the minute I'm carving a swathe through a bunch of horror movie tie-ins), and hang around on the internet posting on forums like these and chatting to friends. I also like a bit of anime and manga (although I'm the furthest thing from an expert), I speak a small amount of Japanese, and I sing a lot. If I'm feeling particularly adventurous (or want to hurt people) I sing in Japanese. I don't watch a lot of television, but my favourite shows are Futurama, Red Dwarf, Doctor Who and The X-Files. I'm sure there's more that could be said, but if you want to write my biography or something, get in touch. My MSN and AIM names are in my signature. Oh, and here's my picture. Feel free to say hi sometime! Ja ne!
  23. I mean, Manwards is from a wrestler. I was a fan of Mick Foley, who wrestled as Mankind, and a friend of mine glued the "Man" onto the last part of my surname (Edwards) and got Manwards, and it's stuck ever since. I'm not sure I should tell you my real name, lest you warp it out of shape. And Gerrysgirl, you're not alone. I got all weepy too! I'm a big softie really.
