  1. Hi I bought a John Barrowman Photo ticket a while ago and it said he was attending Sunday and thats the only day we can attend, however i just noticed when looking to see whether anyone elses Photo shoots for sale this message next to JB's Photo purchases.....This ticket entitles the holder to one professional photo shoot session with John Barrowman at The Hub 7 This is NOT day specific and may take place either on Saturday or Sunday, and so you will need to be in attendance at the convention on both these days. I'm sure when i first bought the ticket it said he would only be attending Sunday & now it sounds like he may appear Saturday. Is that correct or am i misunderstanding something? When would you know for definate which day JB would be attending? Thanks
  2. Hi I attend 'Supernatural'(series) Conventions and you know what...the amount of times i've planned 2 say something 2 the guests at auto's or ask 4 a pose at photo's & then totally bottled out are too many 2 mention and i too have seen lots of fantastic interesting poses others have got the actors to do. Ive given up worrying bout it now as whatever i would say to them would come out wrong or sound daft anyway! Lol I think u just have 2 be confident & go for it as they can only say no if they dont want 2 do a pose. EMS was my first Showmasters Event & we had a fantastic time but like you i did not use my time at DT auto's session wisely & said nothing except 'nice 2 meet you', but i did get chance 2 stand nxt 2 him twice at Photo session as my eyes were closed wen photographer first took it. I didnt complain of course! Lol
  3. This was our first showmasters event & we were impressed with the organisation especially of the big guests photo's & auto's. Had a Great time & we will certainly attend future events. Thank you for all your hard work.
  4. David Tennant was Great. So friendly & full of energy even by the afternoon photo shoot when you think he should be knackered! Imagine having 2 smile for 1000 photo's as well as smile at the autograph table. And i second what someone else said in an earlier post about the young man controlling the front of DT autograph queue in the afternoon. He did a good job & had a firm but pleasant manner in giving out instructions. We had aFAB time at this event.
  5. This was our first showmasters event and we had a Great time. The Guests were all lovely & friendly & the staff helpful and kept things running as smooth as possible which must be a daunting task with the amount of people attending. I thought overall it was well organised with obviously a few hiccups but the only hectic bit of our day was the constant running up & down checking where up to with David Tennant Auto's & Photo's. If anything was announced over the tannoy regarding numbers being called we couldnt hear what was being said clearly, it was just muffled sound. The collection of David Tennants photo's was chaotic but i really felt sorry for the crew dealing with that side of things as they seemed to get a lot of stick from people but it wasn't really their fault, but i agree with above that some other form of system is needed for collecting photo's of the bigger guests. Food in the hall was also far too expensive. But overall i would like to thank the organisers & helpers as we had a FAB time. :)
  6. Thanks everyone for helping me with my queries. I now feel more equipped to deal with what lies ahead. I have to say it's a well run & informative forum. Really looking fwd 2 our first event with you.
  7. Hi Can i ask something too as i havnt been to one of these events before. 1) Where do we head to once we get off the train at Earls Court? 2) How will we know which queue is the pre-paid early bird queue? We can't get there until 9.00am at the earliest & i'm thinkin theres gonna be 1000+ people in front of us! 3) Will we get a David Tennant Autograph if enter the venue before 10.00am? 4)Will it be clear where the Guest areas are so that we can head straight 2 DT area for a VT? 5) When/where can we get something for the guests 2 autograph? 6) Im worried about missing a photo shoot due 2 having a few photo's booked & clashes with queuing for autographs etc, are Autographs pretty much going on all day so we just make sure we get the photo's then move on 2 Autographs? Thanks
  8. Ho I havn't a clue about travelling around London so does anyone know whether we would be affected getting a train from Osterley station to Earls Court on 2nd Oct? Thanks :)
  9. Hi When you have your Ticket numbers for Photo's and Auto's where/how will numbers be called? How often will we have to keep checking whether our numbers have been called? Thanks
  10. Hi How soon do photo/entry tickets usually arrive after ordering on line? What happens if you dont get them before the event?
  11. Thanks sazzra. So by photo, do you mean what we are getting signed? Do we have to buy a photo there. I take it there are merchandise desks where we buy these photo's near the autograph areas? I take it we only need a VT for autographs. I have purchased Photo's on line. Is that correct? I have read the walkthrough but you know what i still get a bit confused. Its just cos its my first time. Theres alot to take in! Lol
  12. Hi So as a newbie. Just so that i've got this right. You get a Virtual Ticket as soon as you get in then if you want to pay cash for the autograph you wait until your number is called, queue and then crew take the money from us half way down the queue? So do you have a different VT for each guest autograph you want? Thanks
  13. Hi Does anyone know whether giving small gifts to actors is allowed? Is there any time at all 2 speak 2 the guests at autographs or is it going 2 be mega rushed through(speaking of DT in paticular). Just wondered if for £45 for an autograph will be worth it if we cant have a few words. I dont mean a long conversation obviously. Thanks
  14. See this is the response that someone further up the board was on about!! (jackndaniel), If you have early bird, you will meet him for sure!. The queues go quite quick, I wouldn't get there any earlier that 7am. 8.30am, you should be fine but depends how many autos he is doing on the day really, maybe get there a tad earlier. However, I shall be arriving for 9am, when the doors open and thats it as I am not spending that amount of money on one autograph (imo it's too expensive), so we have shoots on the day so just going to take it easy! Alixx London Film And Comic Con in july this year was my first convention and i got there saturday at 7.00 / 7.15 and was 100 - 200 in the que but when the door opened it only took 5 mins for me to get in there and get a VT :) Thanks Guys. That makes me feel much better. Will stop panicking now but like you say once people start talking about getting to venue 7.00am and earlier well it does cause some worry. Lol
  15. OMG! I'm gettin worried now. This is my first event & i have an early bird ticket but what good would that do me if people are queuing 2 or 3 hours earlier. How quickly does the queue move once the gates open? How long can i expect to be stood outside queuing if i got there at say 8.30? Is it just a mad charge to the Autograph desk? Gosh i'm having palpatations thinking about this!
  16. Hi Newbie to EMS events. I'm just wondering(so i know what 2 expect) how quickly the queue moves once doors open at 9.00am. I've read that some people are queuing 1 to 2 hrs before it opens. Is this just 2 be first 2 get autographs? Are the queues going 2b horrendous for photo's & autos? The reason i ask is because it effects how many Photo's/ Auto's i buy as i dont want 2 just spend the whole day in queues but i feel that may be the case at these events as i read there may be 2000 attendees there. Any advice appreciated. Cheers
  17. Hi Can someone help me out here please as i find the forum site a bit confusing, where to find things etc. Where can i find 'walkthroughs' for EMS & HUB7? Also when do we receive a programme of the events on each day? Thanks
  18. The photographer will check to see if you blink Photos are normally available to collect the same day. Usually 2-3 hours after the photo session has ended. Photo shoots with other guests can be purchased at the event if you wish (unless they sell out before the event). The inital queues for purchases can get quite long at times, so I suggest purchasing in advance purely because it saves time on the day. Thanks '1of2'. for all the very helpful info. I have booked event tickets & photo's with DT. Really looking fwd to it.
  19. Thanks. Guess i will have to not blink then! Lol Caan you answer the folling as well please then i think i'm done with the questions! Are photo's ready to collect on the day? Can you buy photo's for other guests at the event or do they have to be purchased on line? Cheers
  20. Thanks. Please can you also clarify:- Do you get called in batches then to queue for autographs rather than one long endless line?
  21. Hi Sorry i'm new. Are autographs sold on line or at the event? And 4 all you experienced people tht have been 2 these before, do you have a few moments with the guests when having a photo or are you rushed through! I want 2 be able 2 savour the moment if i have a David Tennant Photo! Thanks
  22. Hi Are we able to register on the Sunday morning if only attending one day. Thanks
