Showmasters presents German Comic Con Berlin

Recommended Posts

  • 1 month later...

I've booked tickets for the Saturday and photo shoot to meet my fave Iain Glen.

Will there be English signage around the venue for those of us who do not speak a word of German? ☺️

Can i ask if there will be English signage around the venue for those of us that aren't clever enough to speak German?

The venue itself definitely has English signs up - I think French and possibly Italian too if memory serves me correct. Getting around in Berlin if you don't speak German generally is very easy.

I am sure the event area itself will consider that too.

How busy does this con get compared to say London ?

I'm planning on going on a 5 day holiday over that weekend, which will include football on one day and the con on another , or both if Berlin's teams are away on the sat/sun.

Is it expected to sell out for general entry beforehand like London does ?

Amanda Bearse is a big draw for me

If you can swing it - and the fixtures work out - I'd try to catch both Hertha and Union. Their stadiums are so totally different, that alone is worth it.

The fixtures should go up early afternoon at bundesliga.de, they have an english version of the site too. It won't be exact days yet, but at least you'll know if they are playing at home.

EDIT Please let me know if I can help you with tickets. Union and Cottbus don't have an English language ticket store available it seems, and I am assuming you'd like to prebuy.

Yes, you understood correct. Union has a tiny stadium. It's very local and everything seems like family. Family sticks together, so it sells out more often. ;) Hertha is in the big Olympiastadion where they hold major events. Dortmund and Bayern were really the only games to sell out, and that was with Hertha even doing so exceptionally well this year.

So what are showmasters involvement in this?

Is it just something they are advertising and helping out with guest contacts etc or are they actively organising it with them?

They are actively organising it with the German Comic Con Team.

I'll leave it to the Office and the German Comic Con Team to post further Details because while I have some info I don't think I have enough to give a detailed answer.

Lena Headey has just been announced for this event too!!. I've booked a photoshoot with her but it really should be announced here on the forum though. Very surprised it hasn't been.

I have already prepared all guest announcement threads - they are basically waiting in hiding - but I am waiting for some final info before I can do so.
