  1. What you're missing in your total is the two things that are the main purpose of the Gold Pass actually. You get to join the end of any queue at any time without a Virtual Queue ticket and you get Priority Seating in the talks. That convenience comes with a price tag, too.
  2. Yes, some prices have not been announced yet. Showmasters only announced the guest prices for those guests who were confirmed when they made their first post. The Phelps Twins and the other guests announced since then will probably be covered in a future update.
  3. The hotel is completely "pre-booked" for the convention, this is why the online reservation didn't work. The only way to get a room is to call. The overflow hotel for Eclipse is the Ibis, so that should be pretty close to the Park Inn.
  4. Stanislav was 15 pounds at G-Mex when he appeared first for Showmasters.
  5. Tom Baker's appearing Saturday only according to the announcement topic.
  6. No, from what I know that's right. At least it worked this way with "Charmed", so I doubt Stargate was that different.
  7. Dave has said in another thread that you need to bring a print out of the Paypal transaction, this does serve as your photo session ticket.
  8. Dave has posted in other threads that you will have to pick up the entry tickets on the day. For the photos sessions you'll need a print out of the Paypal transaction if memory serves me correct.
  9. Depends on the website. There's still enough people around who swear some known secretarial autographs are real.
  10. The answer is you simply don't know for sure. It's always a risk that you take. A general rule of thumb is the bigger the star, the more likely you are to get a fake.
  11. I'm not sure. Personally I think no. Crichton and Mitchell are very different in my eyes, and Ben has said that during a convention as well. But I know many people say that Ben and Claudia just "copied their Farscape characters" in Stargate. Sometimes I can see where they are coming from with Ben, but saying Vala is a copy of Aeryn is just plain wrong. I somehow feel like doing a little more pic spam now... *waits for Kayla to show up*
  12. I think that's covered by the "or" part of TooTall's quote.
  13. The name would be Ben Browder, not Bowler. [/fangirl mode] Sorry, couldn't resist. *g*
  14. A signing event is like what you have in HMV: You queue up say hello or get brief chat and get something signed and then that's it unless there's more guests to see. In other words literally just signing. A convention is like what we have here: the same as a signing but with stalls, displays, events/talks and more importantly a place where fans from all over can gather together and geek-out. That's not what Persephone meant I think. My definition would be: HMV = Signing Collectormania and such = Signing event Eclipse, Lockdown and whatever the two question marks stand for = convention The biggest difference between a signing event and a convention is that a convention is usually in a hotel and has a significantly smaller number of guests than a signing events. Also the emphasis of a convention is more on the Q & A sessions than on the autograph signing as it is with Collectormania.
  15. There have been several threads about it already. We do not have more information yet. basically the most relevant info that leaked so far are here: http://showmastersonline.com/forums/index....showtopic=33903
  16. Glad I could help. I just checked - the Dutch guys do have season 8 and 9 in stock for 30 Euro, that comes up to about 20 pounds per season. No season 10 I'm afraid. Amazon Germany has it for 53 Euro, but that's still pretty good seeing normally full seasons barely go under 80 Euro. Oh yeah yeah, I know that feeling with the odd missing DVD. I fell right into the same trap with Farscape.
  17. Have you checked play.com yet? And maybe the old link about the Dutch DVDs would be worth checking again as well. Amazon Germany does already offer an imported Dutch Season 10 DVD set, so it's definitely available there. Germany doesn't even have release dates for the single DVDs. *sighs* I was lucky to find a good deal when I was in the US in August. Sometimes I just love the conversation rate being so favourable for the Euro. I've actually only got season 9 and 10 as box sets. Season 9 is the Dutch version and season 10 the US version.
  18. From what was hinted at another show I attended, yes, there will be more details about the Ori revealed in the "Ark of truth" movie. But you know these vague bits of info... may be true, may be false. Hmmm... do you need R2 for the DVDs or do you have a multiregion player?
  19. It's nice to see someone agrees with me. I'm with you on the Ori being my fave bad guys. I had really liked the Goauld idea when the show started, but the writers really dragged that story on too long. Same old, same old. The Ori were very refreshing, and I especially liked Adria.
  20. Farscape, second choice CSI. Which is probably more realistic as David pointed out.
  21. So many people say their favorites are the Tok'ra. I have to admit, I never understood the fascination with those guys.
  22. Give it time, the tickets have not even been on sale for an hour yet, it'll probably take a few days. Jola is processing all orders manually. The tickets are reserved in the shop when you place the order, and their number is deducted from the number available. So you really don't have to worry yet. Most people here seem to be going for the Gold Pass, so even with 11 tickets you should easily be within the first 100.
  23. Good you came on again - I decided to stick around in case it doesn't work.
