RainbowDisney
On the subject of wierd questions, can anybody answer these !! Why are boxing rings square? How come the sun makes your skin darker but your hair lighter? Do Lipton employees take coffee breaks? If you tell a joke, and no one laughs, was it really a joke? How do we know Humpty Dumpty is an egg, if it doesn't say the word egg in the nursery rhyme? Do vegetarians eat animal crackers? Why is abbreviation such a long word? Why are buttons on boy's shirts on a different side than girl's shirts? Why are things typed up but written down? Why do we say bye bye but not hi hi? What is a male ladybug called? If diamonds are a girl's best friend, and dogs are mans best friend, which sex is smarter? Who tastes the dog food to know it has new and improved flavour? If the speed of light 1000,000 km/s, what is the speed of dark? If all the worlds a stage, where is the audience sitting? If a word in the dictionary were misspelled, how would we know? How do you know if honesty is the best policy unless you've tried some of the others? Wouldn't it be ironic to die in the living room? cosmic_llin
How do we know Humpty Dumpty is an egg, if it doesn't say the word egg in the nursery rhyme? That is actually a really good question... maybe the writer never intended him to be an egg, but it's just got that way through tradition... Do vegetarians eat animal crackers? Emphatically yes. Why are buttons on boy's shirts on a different side than girl's shirts? Because in the olden days women's maids used to dress them, so the buttons would be the right way around for the maid instead of the woman herself. Wouldn't it be ironic to die in the living room? LOL! I guess so. It's probably safer in that case to call it the sitting room... Thanks for these, they cracked me up!

It was intended to protect the Parliamentarian stronghold of Colchester which was in the temporarily in control of the Royalists during the period of English history, described as the English Civil War ( 1642 - 1649). A shot from a Parliamentary canon succeeded in damaging the wall underneath Humpty Dumpty causing the canon to fall to the ground. The Royalists 'all the King's men' attempted to raise Humpty Dumpty on to another part of the wall but even with the help of ' all the King's horses' failed in their task and Colchester fell to the Parliamentarians after a siege lasting eleven weeks. *is clever*

Ah but the Valet would assist the Master of the house in dressing so that would counteract the maid dressing the Lady of the house Edited January 16, 2006 by Harry
