The AA Route Planner reckons it takes 8 minutes to drive but walking will take a damn sight longer It's about the same distance as the other pub though. and it's a Wetherspoons. Maybe some taxis needed, but there is nothing closer really. Apart from the Ibis bar and as I say that'll be expensive. It'll be good for anyone staying in the Novatel though. It's only about 300m away Well, I didn't mean to suggest that the venue need changing (what with me being unable to come anyway). Looking at the Wetherspoons website, the suggest venue is http://www.jdwetherspoon.co.uk/pubfinder/d...utletNumber=308 and can be found at http://www.multimap.com/map/browse.cgi?pc=W6%200QU basically it's between Hammersmith Broadway (to the east) and Ravenscourt Park (to the west) tubes on the District Line. There is a slightly closer Wetherspoons: The William Morris http://www.jdwetherspoon.co.uk/pubfinder/d...utletNumber=309 which is right at the Hammersmith Broadway end of King Street: http://www.multimap.com/map/browse.cgi?pc=W6%200QA (that may be a little busier - that end of King Street always is) No, you won't really want to walk from Earl's Court to Hammersmith (and certainly not back after a skinful of ale!) but taxis may be OK, and the tube is fine. King Street has lots of pubs, if one gets busy (The Builders, on the south side of King Street and slightly west of King's Mall was also always reasonably priced and not noisy). As you move west along King Street around the Ravenscourt Park area there are several Indian restaurants should you be inclined for a post-bevvy curry. And yeah, it's Saturday night in London - any pub in the Fulham/Earl's Court/Hammersmith area will be busy (unless it's a really absolute cr*phole!) I've found a pub that is just opposite the event venue, so is only about 10 minute walk for most of us to get to.
