  1. The info was directly from the Wembley web site. Personally, I would use the Jubilee line , a 21st Century Underground line !
  2. In addition to Gareth Gates who will be on at the arena on the Saturday Evening, every Sunday there is a Wembley Market. On the Saturday there is also a National Graduate Recruitment Fair on at Wembley. Wembley is a big site but can get a bit hectic in terms of transport , with both road and rail especially with quite a few events on. It is best to take this into account when allowing for travelling time. Please also note this info from the Wembley site if you are coming by tube: Tube TRAVEL UPDATE! 22nd February & 7th March closure between Stonebridge Park & Harold & Wealdstone on the Metropolitan line that will prevent customers getting to Wembley Central. The Jubilee line is unaffected therefore Wembley Park can be used.
  3. Ah So Daniel son ! Wax on, Wax Off. I mentioned Pat Morita before. Karate Kid was one of my favourite films. Aside from playing Mr Miyagi he has been in loads of films and T.V. series. Please Showmasters can you invite him back .
  4. I would envisage that Val, Levar and Brent would all be £20 for an autograph whether on a free photo or on your own item . Possibly the same with Billy Boyd. Most of the other peeps would be £15. So bring plenty of cash. Especially as there are going to be way loads more stalls than at C4.
  5. I would go with in no particular order: The Exorcist Poltergeist A Nightmare on Elm Street Wes Craven's New Nightmare Scream The Ring Flatliners Dracula ( Hammer Horror) In the Mouth of Madness Hellraiser Loads more no doubt, but these ones spring to mind.
  6. Chloe was great in that series, "Crime Traveller". It was just a shame it only ran for one season. A Great Guest.
  7. Seeing as this is the first LFACC it is a bit difficult to say how busy it will be. However as a guide, a number of factors will affect the numbers turning up - The guest list - o.k. this is subject to debate, but I reckon this is probably the strongest guest list of any convention in London that I know of (Please feel free to correct me on this one) - The Venue - unlike Milton Keynes there will be no shoppers and if people are paying a tenner to get in, less likely to be gawpers, hopefully people will be genuine fans and Collectors - The Star Trek Factor - Brent and Levar rarely if ever sign and personalise items and their are a lot of Trekkie fans out there, who in my experience will be arriving pretty early - Event Duration - it is only two days unlike MK so visitors spread over a shorter scale - London - there is a much bigger audience here for a start, having said that many people travel to MK for Collectormania from all over the World - The as yet unannounced guests - with Billy B recently added and more hopefully yet to come the potential numbers of attendees will be increasing all the time My gut feeling though is that queuing the night before will not be required, but a brisk early dawn stroll may be on the cards to get the early bird tickets.
  8. So far the Guest list is shaping up pretty well and I am sure most people are happy. I was also pleased to see there is going to be more organisation and structure to the virtual queuing which should hopefully make for a better experience. What news on the artist and writer signings ? Also the website talks of exclusive event merchandise and promos but I can't find any info on what they might be and for example will they be available to all or just early bird ticket holders. If I am jumping the gun a bit , then apologies as I am aware new talks , like the Kubrick one are just shaping up, but I would particularly like to know who the guests artists and writers will be. Here's hoping that there will also be some sort of Batman related Q&A as well with Adam and Val in attendance and maybe if there are some Batman artisits and writers there as well. Any info appreciated. Thanks (36 Days to go and counting !)
  9. There is not a lot of big releases in March, but this one looked like it is released about the right time so I thought maybe some of the guests may be over here to promote the film. I have no real view on the film but thought some of the cast might make interesting guests.
  10. The film Torque opens in the U.K. on the Friday before the LFACC , starring Martin Henderson (Also starred in the Ring) , Ice Cube, Monet Mazur and Jay Hernandez. I know it might be a long shot, but it would be really great to see some of these guests at the LFACC. It also stars Will Yun Lee who was Colonel Moon in Die Another Day. O.K. it is a challenge for Showmasters, but heh, lets set the goals high. It could be a good promotional opportunity as well with the film opening that weeked.
  11. Thanks Showmasters, that has cleared that one up. I look forward to many more Shows with a wide and varied guest list. Keep up the good work.
  12. In reply to the emotional vampire. Yes, Kenny and Dave do attend a lot of events but in the same way people want Lord of the Rings guests back, I am sure many Star Wars fans think in the same way of Kenny and Dave. Along with a few others like Jeremy Bulloch, Michael Sheard and Warwick Davis they have been treading this path long before Collectormania was even a glint in its parents eye. I am sure there is space for returning guests from all series / films at these events and a mix of old favourites and new guests all helps create the right atmosphere. Who knows without some of these convention stalwarts whether we would be lucky enough to attract the guests that we are now seeing today.
  13. I have read in a few threads that Showmasters have said they would not be inviting the likes of Kenny Baker and Dave Prowse again. I hope this is only speculation and not true. Personally, I think this is a shame. Kenny Baker was just about the first Star Wars guest I met and got a signed photo from. I suppose this is going to extend to Warwick Davis as well ! Now there is a guest that would be good for his links with Val Kilmer in Willow. Whilst I think it is great that Showmasters bring in new and varied guests, it is nice to see old favourites back again, such as Craig Charles and some LOTR guests to LFACC. And I am sure no one is complaining about Robert Englund coming back to C5. As some of the more balanced posts have said, a wide range of guests from different series is what we all want and personally I wouldn't want anyone ruled in , or ruled out . A personal big thank you to Showmasters from me for bringing Adam West to the U.K. This is one guest who I thought I would never see.
  14. James Marsden is appearing at an event in LA in March of this year, so here's hoping for C5 or LFACC.
  15. Perhaps some of them maybe available on the Monday when the other event which you mentioned has finished. Any of the guests I mentioned or others Buffy or Angel guests would be welcome at the LFACC or C5.
  16. I have just been watching some of the earlier seasons of Buffy again and there are loads of people who would make great guests. Here are a few thoughts on some of the recurring guests, but hopefully realistic suggestions and maybe not the most obvious: Robin Sachs who plays Ethan Rayne K Todd Freeman who plays Mr Trick Harry Groner who plays Major Richard Wilkins Saverio Guerra who plays Willy Robia La Morte who plays Jenny Calendar Bianca Lawson who plays Kendra Julia Lee who plays Chanterelle / Lily Ken Lerner who plays Principal Flutie Mercedes McNab who plays Harmony Kendall Mark Metcalf who plays the Master Max Perlich who plays Whistler Danny Strong who plays Jonathan
  17. Blimey, £10,000 for a single airfare, that is crazy. I am sure you can get return flights in Business Class for a fraction of that. Somewhere in the region of £2500 I would have thought. Surely Showmasters don't fly all the guests over First Class, do they ? At that rate they would never make any money. I think a fair rating be : Val - £20 Adam, Levar and Brent - £15 All other guests currently announced - £10 As Showmasters make their money on the auto sales, I can understand why these rates have to be reflective , however, with income from entry and increased dealers, it would be nice to think that they could keep the prices reasonable.
  18. I think a lot depends on the time of the day you meet them, most people are flagging by late in the day. George Takei was probably the friendliest I have met. Denise Crosby also seemed very pleasant. I found Marina Sirtis and Roxann Dawson both a bit cold and looking like they didn't really want to be there. When I met Walter Koenig he seemed almost like a Zombie, I can only assume he was not feeling well that day. I have never met Shatner, but I have heard a lot of negative stuff about him. Was Tim Allen's character in Galaxy Quest based on him ? Having said that , if he was at LFACC or C5 I would still be queuing up. I would rather meet and get a photo of a grumpy trek guest, than not get one at all, although it is nice if they are reasonably pleasant as part of the experience. I don't know if anyone has ever met Bill Blair, he played some bit parts in Trek I think and has cropped up in some other Sci Fi stuff as well in small roles. In terms of meeting Trek related guests he was by far the best and spent plenty of time chatting about his trek experiences.
  19. Hugo Myatt played Treguard the Dungeon Master in Knightmare.
  20. Yes, it was good to meet Paul McGann at C3. Michael Sheard who was also at C3 has been in a couple of Dr Who episodes. I think Honor Blackman who was at C4 may have also appeared in at least one episode. Personally, I think the widest range of guests that come the better, so there is something for all fans of Sci Fi, Fantasy, Horror etc
  21. P.O.W. double is a good show and it would be good to have some British Actors. Perhaps he could bring Patrick Baladi and Joe Absolom with him as well. Patrick could maybe demonstrate his John Travolta dance from the Office episode.
  22. What about Alexis Denisof ? It would be great to see any of the other three as well. So heres another vote for the stars of Angel.
  23. If Daniel comes back, then it would be good if Jermey Bulloch and Temeura Morrison can also be there. So I can get them all to sign my Fetts photo.
  24. I was reading an interview with Dan Aykroyd the other day and he seems to be taking smaller film parts and concentrating on running the House of Blues, so maybe, he might be willing to come and meet his fans. Bill Murray would be great as well. One of my favourite comedies ever was Groundhog day. When I first saw it, I laughed so much I was in tears.
  25. Thanks. I actually saw her last weekend, but reckon I will need a bit of time to save up again. So London Film and Comic Con or C5 will be ideal. The more Bond Guests the better as far as I am concerned and lets face it there is a good choice as many regularly do signings.
