  1. This is going to be amazing. Cannot wait to meet both Summer & Sean, while cosplaying River too. I may actually have squealed when I saw this news.
  2. So excited to meet Sean! My River cosplay is definitely coming out for this.
  3. I'll only be doing one day this time I think (not sure if it'll be Saturday or Sunday yet), but seeing as Sean Maher is there I'll definitely be bringing my River Tam out again. Ooh yay, your Inara is great! What day are you gong as Inara? We'll have to try & meet up again if we're there on the same day.
  4. Having seen that Jewel Staite is attending, I'll be River Tam for the second year running! Beyond excited! Just need to get the costume completed fully (I need her weapons which I haven't got round to sorting yet) & a better wig.
  5. I may have almost screamed with excitement when I saw that she's going to be there. Will have to get my River Tam cosplay completed properly...
  6. I'll be River Tam (Reaver battle dress from Serenity). Without the weapons unfortunately because I haven't managed to make them yet. Finished making the dress tonight. Spent the entire evening putting hundreds of studs on it with my lovely mother (who helped me make it).
  7. Haven't been on the website or forum in a while, so I've only just seen that Sean won't be there now. I had just finished my River Tam costume I'm wearing to the event & come on to see he's not coming anymore. So gutted, he was the guest I was most excited to meet Hopefully I'll get another chance to meet him in the future sometime.
  8. We stayed in a place called Pay & Sleep in Southall, which from their website looked like a very cheap hotel. It was actually a hostel. I don't mind staying in hostels, since some of them can be ok. This one though was not good. The room wasn't actually that bad: the beds were ok, got a decent night's sleep and had a small fridge (although that was so cold that some stuff we put in there ended up with bits of ice on - I think the ice box was open and wouldn't close). We decided not to use the shared shower... it did not look clean at all. Baby wipes were the only option! The shared toilets were just as bad (both mornings we found that someone had been sick in there - clearly there were some people who can't handle their drink staying there too ). It cost us £32.50 for the three of us... so it was very cheap. It said that this price included a "meat free cooked breakfast". I'm not sure what that involved since we decided against having it... possibly just toast though (since that technically is cooked ) It was right opposite the train station, which was useful and took about 40 minutes to get to the con using a train and then tubes - it was within zones 1-4 so all we needed was an all-day travelcard. Wouldn't stay there again though. We would probably have managed to get somewhere a bit better/closer if we'd been booking everything earlier, so next year I'm sure (or I hope!) we'll have somewhere better!
  9. He was great. I was so excited to meet him and he was so lovely. I had a photoshoot with him which was great. He made the effort to chat when I went up afterwards for an autograph, and remembered me from the photoshoot. He even made the effort to talk to my friend who wasn't getting an autograph and was just there because I was, which we were both impressed with. I missed his talk though which I really wanted to see Unfortunately we had early entry for the Saturday and only standard entry for the Sunday so we couldn't get in until 11am that day. I may have seen you as well then, if you were there on the Sunday. I did have a little bit of a chat with a couple of the crew since I was dressed as Bellatrix.
  10. I think his name is Andrew... I had a friend who was dressed as a Doctor Who and he knows that guy from Doctor Who groups/meets at various cons/expos. Unfortunately, I don't know his surname or Facebook or anything, sorry!
  11. I really wanted to go but neither me or my friend can afford it right now, unfortunately. Definitely got to get to one at some point though, next year perhaps.
  12. That's really cool :) He talked to me a little bit about my costume seeing as I went up to him wearing the death eater mask (but then took it off to talk to him) and asked me if I seen the photo yet since he remembered me from the photoshoot. He even made the effort to talk to my friend who was with me, even though she wasn't there to get his autograph, which we both thought was amazing of him. He was just so lovely and such a gentleman, he stood up at the end when I said how much I love the films and can't wait for the next ones and said thank you so much and shook my hand. It always blows me away a bit when people like him are so so lovely and down to earth. It was the same with with all the star wars people we've met. My friend told Jeremy Bulloch he's amazing and he immediately turned to say "did you hear that? I'm amazing!" to someone. When we met them at another con, Dave Prowse chatted to us for ages and was so lovely, and Paul Blake seemed so humbled by the fact that my friend was telling him how much of a legend he is.
  13. I met Kenny Baker, Jeremy Bulloch and Matt Lewis. They were all lovely. Dave Prowse smiled at me and my friend as well when we were queuing for Kenny. We'd met Dave a little while ago at a small con. I was so excited to meet Matt Lewis. I had a photoshoot with him (while dressed as Bellatrix, which I thought was slightly amusing) and then also went to get his autograph. He was so lovely. We talked a little bit, I told him how much I love the films and stuff. I just wish I'd been more chatty instead of going all shy.
  14. You missed me then... hehe (I was Princess Leia on Saturday ) I've seen a few photos of me and my friend from both days but there were quite a lot taken, so if anyone has any more I would love to see them Saturday costumes: Me - Princess Leia / My friend - dark side version of Princess Leia (One photo I found of both of us - http://img35.imageshack.us/i/sany2146.jpg/) Sunday costumes: Me - female death eater/Bellatrix Lestrange from Harry Potter / My friend - Domino from X-Force (The only photo I've found of us from Sunday - http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=6467...mp;id=743328834 - Hopefully you'll be able to see it)
  15. Matt Lewis - Much love (and he wrote lots of love on the two others I got for two of my friends) Kenny Baker - R2-D2 Kenny Baker Jeremy Bulloch - "You're next on my list" Jeremy Bulloch wrote "You're cool" on my friend's one so she's very pleased with that!
