There's a devils own(Tesco Express) two minutes round the corner and a bigger store towards Earl's Court. Couple newsagents, pizza express next top the venue and couple other places on t'other side road from it. Couple pubs nearby as well.

This sort topic usually crops up for summer LFCC. So where you travelling from and staying? Who's travelling furthest and going back in one day? Anyone spending more on travel and/or staying over than at the con itself? Leaving York tomorrow at 1552 and get into Kings X just after 6 (in theory could get the wrong type of leaves on the line ), staying at YHA Earls Court, gan walk to and from event unless tips it down or severe snow storm then head back home on Sunday night having bit of money and that's just in the pub never at mind the show!!

What can I say but, dogsoldierspoon's a bad influence!

I would have called a big massive bundle. Well on the Sunday it was actually organised, done properly and worked tons better as had some barriers and the tape as well as both security and (mainly) SM crew telling people where to queue and to bunch up. At the EMS last year at same venue I can't recall there being any problems, certainly not the Sunday queue was almost dead!

I always go straight for the VQ tickets and will do so again.. Though there are some photoshoots I fancy and most were only added on the schedule yesterday so weren't available in the shop. Just gan take a chance and hope they don't sell out.

Hope he's got some his other books at the show, always a cracking read on train back home!

Biggest reason for me coming to this show (still gan try getting CM:MK). Cannit wait see her!!

Not impossible probably unlikely. Believe there was a show (LFCC?) few years before I came across them that some guests weren't announced till day before/day of the thing.

I'm being lazy - I'll change at Earl's court to the District line and head up to Olympia that way. Same price so no need to hoof it... I need the exercise!! On the Sunday frequency of the trains to Olympia will be less so if you 'JUST' miss it by time next one comes you could already be queuing up. Also I can't remember if it was the Sunday for EMS last year or when LFCC was there but the trains got cancelled altogether from EC to Olympia and they only announced it after good 20 minutes if people waiting.

Kings X - piccadilly line - earl's court - walk to Olympia, unless tips it down or sudden freak snow storm, sorted!

Loved Charlest Martinet's talk at the Summer LFCC, so will be trying to get to Veronica's talk on either the Saturday or the Sunday ! But what I am wondering , is what is LARPING ? Live Action RolePlay - D&D but in costume and out in the real world, had a friend who did it and loved it, always fancied it but could never quite get round to it or buck up the courage myself... Depending what type/kind you do can cost more as need buy the stuff required unless you're able make some yourself. One friends does it and basically involves weekend away in a field fighting battles against other factions then getting hammered at night.

A number of those mentioned have appeared at collectormania/lfcc/other SM events and more than just the once. From what seen here and elsewhere, there's meant be fat chance of couple of the above appearing at an event of any kind
