I've sort of got the impression that he'll only come if his band comes too. They're good though...

I've actually worked with Anthony as a steward at another event and he was lovely. He does have his own way of doing things: he doesn't like people taking pictures from a distance/while he's signing. He'd rather folks came up and said hello and got a posed photo with him, even if they can't afford an autograph. He kept reminding me to sit down and rest my feet whenever there was a lull, and gave us biscuites. Dom, do you have a problem with gay people, or are you accusing whip pie of expecting the blokes to be all over her? Anyway, I'm pretty sure Anthony had a female other half with him when I met him... not that it matters.

Hmmm.... Jr Bourne is in the third film. Unfortunately he's said he's not doing any more conventions at the moment. Sigh.

I already suggested that higher up and nobody's noticed... I think people have moved on *G*

How about if the crew in a queue have some vouchers? Then if they run out of fivers they can give £5 vouchers instead, which can then be taken to a desk somewhere to be redeemed, or used in another guest's queue.

I don't know Brad's auto so I can't really comment. But in general terms I'd do a few things if I wanted to check out an auto. First, try and see genuine examples of that auto if possible. I'd also check out the seller. Feedback is useless in this case: feedback comes from people who've bought, and they are only going to buy if they think it's genuine aren't they? What you can do though is look at what else they are selling. If they are selling loads of big names who don't do signings then that's a warning sign (in fact feedback in thousands, even if it's all positive, might be a bad sign. It's a lot easier to make a massive batch of fakes and flog them than get real autos...). Look at several other autos sold by the same seller: sometimes you can see they've all been signed by the same person. Look at the prices: if they are selling thousands of autos at $2 each then you know they are dodgy: you might get the odd person selling off a few auto's at stupid prices, but generally if it's too good to be true then it's a fake. No dealer is going to sell large numbers at less than they are worth... COA's can be faked just as easily as autos, as someone else said. There's some American Autograph organisation (I forget what it's called) where anyone can be a member. So if they say they are a member it doesn't mean a lot, but if they are 'registered' (I think it's registered) it means they are checked and it's good. And yep, having been the person with the job of keeping folks from taking pictures of Anthony Daniels signing, I can confirm that is for precisely that reason: he's had people use pictures like that to 'authenticate' fake photos... I used to sell off a few of my autos on eBay to fund my con habit. It's now become almost impossible to get what they are worth. Most I can't get what I paid for them. So I've stopped. If I can't get a good price it's unlikely many others will. So anyone selling on there is likely to be selling fakes. There might be a few exceptions... but the fakes have forced the prices down so much I should think they are few and far between now.

Really? That's new then! It's been his stated policy in the past that he NEVER does signing sessions. I think the chances are still pretty low. There's a big difference between a small con (where every name can be known and security checked...) and the screaming anonymous hordes you'd get if he signed at Collectormania.

I've been lucky enough to see him at a convention. It was on the Sunday, while he was doing a play elsewhere in the UK (so that fits...). However he only appeared on stage, and did not sign autographs in person: they were only available pre-signed. I've seen a written statement from him that he won't do in person signing sessions (he put out a statement when a convention claimed to have contracted him to do an in-person signing). So there's basically no chance of him signing at Collectormania. Doing a talk, not impossible. Signing, no. I think I might be going to the theatre though. *G*

Well, RDA is probably not going to be in it a lot. Amanda is likely to miss the first few episodes. It looks like they'll need more Michael not less...

I'm wondering if Simon actually did this because he only wants to sign for people who are interested enough in him to want to come to the talk: not just for people to whom he's just another autograph off their list, or who just want to sell them on. If so it seems to not be working! LOL

Other plans, going to another event. I guess there's other folks who would give that reason but they're not on this forum!

Wembley Park tube is about a 15 minute walk from where your going. I think there are busses from there too, but I'm not sure what. If you come out of the tube and cross the road there's a bus stop on the other side going in the right direction, but ask the driver!
