  1. Just a quick Q. Ive just booked 2 tickets but in my name on my card, how will they know which attendee pack to put them in as our Bitten2 tickets were booked in my partners name...Ive emailed Yvie via the website but am worried now. Thanks Rachel
  2. Im happy to post links and advertise where I can but people seem to be poor
  3. Pleeease announce soon. Ill be 6 months pregnant by the con and need to plan room in my outfits for a bump lol
  4. Im waiting till the other guests are announced today then pre buying mine
  5. Thats amazing! I shall look forward to Thursday with baited breath.
  6. Ohhhhh yeah! Thankyou Showmasters this is wicked amazing news. Were both super pleased in this house!
  7. Id love to meet Allan as Ive heard good reports about him. Guests can definitely sign more than one appearance with separate events organisers but depends on their contracts. We were told that SM/ME dont have the same guest twice though which is a shame as Id love to see Kristin again.
  8. We saw this a while back and its hilarious. I love Bill saying Snookie LOL priceless
  9. Yes we saw it ages ago, its very amusing but not as funny as Twue Bwood
  10. We were going to book this and Im glad we didnt chance it as no guest at this stage is not a good sign I shall look forward to Bitten2 instead but hope everyone doesnt get let down and do have a great time at Roadhouse. :)
  11. We rang on Monday, they asked for £10 deposit but the balance has to be paid by 31st January so we just paid it all there and then. £204 for a double room for 3 nights.
  12. Im not going to this one but if they suddenly announced Alexis Denisof, Eliza Dushku or Nathan Fillion Id be sooo tempted!
  13. I didnt get one either but Ive seen one somewhere! Have you looked on Giles' website?
  14. We bought 3 photos and are ordering some more soon from the Website. We thought it was an excellent idea, service and the photos came out great. Im so glad SM let you do this and we will definately purhcase more at further cons. x
  15. Hi there, we stayed at the Sheraton and apart from the cost of room service it was AMAZING. I pre paid on my card although we were given the option on another website to book and pay cash on leaving. I always make it quite clear with ANY company (and you must say this verbally) that they must not keep your card details on file and that any payment you are making is final. They are quite within their rights to hold room service/mini bar deposits if you didnt have an agreement stating otherwise and yes it can take days to go back in your account. We paid £154 for our room for 3 nights, no extra charges, we paid rooms service in cash and when we checked out they just took our key and said thankyou very much. Done. I would book there again in a heartbeat, on the internet, cheap deal, pre paid with no details held. Im so sorry this has happened to you. I hope it gets sorted out. x
  16. aww what a nice post. I hate to see people who have come along on their own. Its nice you had a good time and people made you feel welcomed and partied with you.
  17. Thanks David. Im sure most of them dont mean to come across like that but I certainly know 1 or 2 that do. I know what you mean about the obvious thing on here, to some it is and to some its just a matter of asking and asking until they get it. lol. I know youre not being nasty
  18. I agree about some of the stewards who made us feel at times like small children in a line at school and said patronising things which were blatantly obvious! I know theyre proud to steward and some have done it for years but its not a power trip, theyre just 'helpers'. However, the lady with the long blonde hair on the reg desk was amazing and so nice when I collected the pack for a friend who could not be there. She went out of her way to do her best with everything for us. We also pointed out about the non veggie food and the fact that it was all greasy and luke warm. I also asked for cold water to add to my herbal tea and the staff at the Thistle looked at me like I was crazy! The Thistle have a lot to answer to especially compared to the Sheraton across the road which was amazing!!
  19. Naah Im used to feeling picked on here lol, its only because I say what I think. I love a good old discussion and on here people do tend to have their own very set opinions which is great. I think I met you at Bitten and you were lovely so I certainly dont take things to heart :)
  20. LOL no youre right, you cant, he always gets lots of attention because of his height and his red hair! Was lovely to see you again too, shame we didnt have chance to get a good natter in x
  21. Ohhh Im only not doing Hallowhedon again because Ive been into Buffy and Angel since the year dot and Im just getting into other new shows now and feel Ive done the Whedon thing to death lol. I guess by next year I may feel different, I know my OH still wants to go.
  22. Indeed. I have never seen a guest hand out stuff like that before. Especially stuff like the NASA pass - he should have kept them himself! His jokey 'put down' of Jewel made me laugh - "Let's give out some of the stuff that you brought Jewel" or words to that effect That was one of things that made the weekend very special. Ive not seen ANY guest at any event Ive been to provide 'goodies' like that, Alan was an excellent guest and entertainer and that was a very kind thing to do to make the attendees day. I also loved his quip to Jewel. lol. Thats very true and I have said on another post that the things Ive 'moaned' about didnt spoil my weekend, I had a thoroughly good time and will do more SM events, just not Hallowhedon (for my own reasons) and its a shame more people dont say the bad points as we were invited to give feedback yet anything slightly/remotely negative is always shot down in a bad way and often its not meant in a nasty way just to help things improve at other events. :)
