I don't care about the other local hotels. Knowing the event organisers are paying the hotel to hold the event there, other convention goers are paying to stop there, makes me angry and annoyed that the hotel is still in business as I would sooner spend the night on the streets than give them a penny of my money. Hope you enjoy the event, but any other ME conventions at this hotel will be avoided by me and at least two of my friends who have suffered similar circumstances. I now refuse to comment on this situation anymore as it is taking away the great announcement of ASH being at the convention.

No! I hate the hotel, the fact they tried to rip me off, as well as the other crap I have had to put up with them over the years. That is the reason I stopped attending another companies events as they were at this hotel. I won't support any event that gives any money to this hotel ever.

Sorry, but I stand by my decision and nothing will change that, as I'd sooner go anywhere but the Thistle. Knowing that I'm supporting an event which is giving money to that hotel doesn't feel right after all the crap I have had to put up with at the hotel.

Last time I stayed there, the room was in awful condition, there were a load of spiders and other insects in the bathroom, plus I was charged for services I never used. Second time I went they charged me for the room twice and the staff were very unpleasant. Never going to be a third time no matter what is there.

Great! The ME con I'm most interested in and it's at the crappy Thistle. Why can't this be at Northampton, Birmingham, Bedford or somewhere else. I hate that crap hole and that is one of the main reasons I didn't attend this one.

This will probably lead to a lot of people buying tickets if they like what they see. If you can afford it and want to attend, buy now, or risk missing out on gold tickets.

I know a few people who would be interested in this type of con, but I can't see it being popular enough for a convention on it's own, so maybe if it was put together with something like 90210, Gossip Girl, OC or some other teen show it might work.

The only name that keeps popping into my head, that hasn't been mentioned yet, is MacCauley Culkin.

Muggle Mayhem, Northampton, 7th to the 9th of August?

Unless I am mistaken, I am sure I read or heard something a few years ago that the Saw franchise would last 7 films, so if that is true then K won't be the last.

I am very surprise they haven't done one of these events yet as previous SPN events elsewhere in the UK usually sell out, you have a large thread elsewhere asking for it, a number of SM/ME staff are fans of the show and it has a great cast line up. Instead we get a Being Human event which will please a very small few, but most probably will end up losing money, due to the lack of people who asked for this event, hardly anyone I know watches it and most people and fellow con goers I know have never heard of it. I am sorry to hear people's experiences from the rival events company but their reputation has been like that for the last few years. Their are only two regular run convention companies I could honestly recommend. SM is one and the other one is quite well known for running a number of Buffy and Angel events before SM started and they decided to start running other events. Both this companies offer great value for money, great guests and the oppourtunity to have great memories that last forever. They also have alcohol. My only problem with these events is that the travel costs and hotel fees make it too expensive for me to attend as many as I would like due to no events like these taking place near me.

Daniel will star as the King in Rodgers & Hammerstein’s classic musical The King and I at the Royal Albert Hall from June 12th - June 28th. Maybe SM could try and make contact with him during his stay here and persuade him to come to this event.

What about those of us who attended Lockdown but are unable to get time off work for this event? Greate event but didn't feel I got my what I was paying for when I purchased an early gold pass and that is why I didn't buy an early ticket here. Have to book time off work early but as no info was being released about the event, work let someone else have the time off. I have to book my holidays off in weeks not days, so couldn't justify booking the whole week off when no guests or any other info had been released. I have since moved address also so if you are going to post out vouchers, that would probably go to my old address.

I know someone who personally knows David very well, and trust me when I say this, but he wouldn't just cancel without good reason. It must be something important as he is a very fan friendly guy who enjoys his work and meeting his fans. I'm sure both him and SM will come to some sort of agreement about a future show. I feel very sorry for those attending who were looking forward to meeting him, but unfortunatley this things sometimes happen and it is to be expected that a guest or two may drop out, so try and attend for the overall experience and not just one guest.

Great guest! If this had only been announced about a week earlier I would have snapped two gold tickets of you. As it stands, I now can't get time off work, so I am gutted to miss out. Gutted! Did I say how gutted I am? That is about as big a guest you will probably get for Lost so I would imagine smaller character roles for whoever is left Lost wise, but if they are half as cool as the guests at Lockdown, you won't be disappointed. Once again, well done SM / ME, you have booked a greay guest. Enjoy everyone!

Never mind the island, we are all stuck in our own different time zones here, so here is hoping we don't bump into the monster.

Even though I can no longer attend this event, I'm still looking forward to seeing what ME pull out of their bag of tricks for this event, on what could possibly be a great event. My guess would have to be John Terry just because he is a main character in Lost and also was in Alias and is someone I can believe SM / ME have been trying to get for sometime.

There is always a 99.9 percent chance of me not attending an event over a bank holiday weekend due to work. I think the line ups have never been on par with the first event, although most guest have been great by all accounts, but not the names I know my friends may be interested in meeting. No disrespect to Ashley, but the announcement of her for Eclipse 2 hardly made tickets sell out, so ME should have known that whilst she may be popular at a signing, people want the main stars for these events like Zach, Hayden, Milo, Ali and Masi. I honestly believe that at least one of those would have improved sales, as I was asked by qite a few people to let them know if or when one of those guests are announced, so the fans are there but I guess they expect more. If I was free for this weekend, I would only have an inteerest in meeting Greg and catching up with my friends, so I couldn't justify spending travel, hotel, food, drink and ticket money for this event when I could save it for another event with more guests I would rather meet. Despite having a great time at Lockdown, through no fault of ME, it lacked a main guest and because of this and the fact I bought a gold ticket, it has made me think twice before I jump into attending an event as the guest line up is a very high factor in me attending an event. That is why, with no anoouncement made, I decided to let my work colleague have the time of work when I may have attended Abrams Inc if any guests had been announced at a reasonable time. I think SM/ME do a great job, but they can't please everyone, but at the moment I feel they need to stop and look at how they are running things because some events seem to get ignored while others get all the specialist treatment and then they wonder why they can't sell tickets for this event and Abrams Inc.
