  1. go ahead and delete it. it wont harm us, but other people have read this and agree. I know that for certain. I feel really unhappy with how you've dealt with this. and for the record, if anyone was to have read her original post because you hadnt deleted it, this would never have happened. this would never have gotten this far, and you wouldnt have lost our respect.
  2. Sorry to assume! it's just that last time I wrote something that was the teeeeeniest critical, though in the form of a suggestion, I got lots of people telling me I was wrong, and generally being rude. I suppose it's mental preparation just in case. I do want to say that JCB was one of the best guests we've had, so that was awesome.
  3. If this is aimed at me, I gave positive feedback earlier, and then wanted to support this person after people told me I was wrong! I'll repeat my positive feedback if you like: Lovely staff, lovely guests, nice location...is that enough positive?
  4. the crew are ALL VOLUNTEERS and i know that they are the best crew for events like this in the world and i do stand by them all . jason In that case, SOME VOLUNTEERS (I put this is capitals because I am unsure why it was written in capitals to me in the first place...I wrote always in capitals to emphasize how most people have always been lovely, where as the above seems to have been written to highlight me being wrong) have been rude in the past. This time, however, no problems had by myself. Although some other people do seem to have had a politeness issue with one volunteer. That is exactly how I feel - it was obvious when they didnt want to answer a question, and there were alot of awkward gaps. Pretty much everyone I've spoken to agreed. Like Anna, I dont want to be slandered for giving my feedback, as I am trying to be positive, and ultimately I have been to all 3 ETs so people cannot say I haven't enjoyed them previously (or I wouldnt have come back). I just wont be able to afford to come back in the future, so I want to help out as much now as I can, in improving it for others. But I am awaiting a huge wave of hate to hit me...
  5. see, i thought the guests coped pretty well with the huge spaces between questions, especially when there were more of them on stage - but it seemed almost like they were laughing amongst themselves and stretching out their answers because they knew there were going to be huge gaps. They did look very uncomfortable at times. And question wise, I understand that not every question should be a 'serious' question, but some where really cringey. Maybe just not use the 'awkward moment' questions, and mix them up more, like one serious, one fun, one serious...etc etc. because instead, with all the serious seeming to be at the start, and the funny ones at the end, it felt like they were running out of valid questions. And I know that there were some more awesome questions, because I was with people who submitted them. And they weren't just questions that we wanted to hear, they were genuinely interesting.
  6. Not all of them, I dont think? The volunteers are ALWAYS lovely. It was some of the staff that I think are paid, that last time were a bit rude towards us. This time they were all lovely.
  7. I thought I’d pop in to share my thoughts and opinions – I have been deleted in the past, which I find silly because surely all feedback is useful? Plus I know I’m not the only one to think the things I say – I’m just one of the only ones who posts them here. Like someone earlier, I will put the ETs in order of preference – 1, 2, 3! Sorry showmasters, but the events don’t really seem to be getting better overall, but there were good points. ~ Good Points Ok, maybe the hotel was a bit expensive, and a bit big, but in itself it was a lush location. It was nice to not feel so claustrophobic as in ET1 and especially ET2. The guests were all lovely and polite, really glad to have met them. There was really good music at the parties, and they were well decorated – thank you Mr DJ. I liked that it was in Brum – easier for me to get to, and see other friends on the Fri. The staff generally seemed a lot happier and more polite at this event – wage increase maybe lol? Jamie was fab. ~ Bad Points I know the people organizing this cant stop people yelling stupid things out, or crowding the guests, but still, it was annoying. Same with the guests not coming to the parties/being there really late. I never actually saw any of the guests at the parties (I wasn’t at the Sunday one though, apparently the guests went to that one – annoying lol). The food was RIDICULOUSLY expensive in the hotel, and it was a shame there was no decent restaurant nearby. Went to the Wetherspoons in the NEC, and it was crap – no choice and really pricey. I wasn’t too impressed with the selection of guests, as I’ve said before, but they themselves were lovely. Maybe Kiowa just needs some encouragement? It would probably have been easier if they had been closer linked in the film – like at ET1 when they new each other really well. Tinsel and Kiowa didn’t really have much to say when put with the other 3 – did they even meet much before this? I was VERY unimpressed with the talks. All of the questions (well, most) were SO cringey and embarrassing not only for the guests to answer, but because of the impression the guests must have had of us! Is it really that hard to filter the questions asked? If not enough were given in, then surely someone could have researched the guests a bit, to find something suitable to ask them. Also, maybe good questions suggested from old cons could be used? If they are good, and can be asked to any guest, then keep a stock pile! Also, in the talks the gaps between answers to one question, and the next question were SO awkward. The person interviewing didn’t seem to be paying attention – and the guests looked so uncomfortable. Also, putting the guests under pressure to answer a question they don’t want to, or don’t know how to, isn’t cool. I feel I should add that I DID enjoy the weekend, though not really because of the event. I loved seeing friends, some of whom I met at ET1, and we’re still friends now. I do feel like the guests are getting reduced slightly, no matter how lovely they are – and I appreciate that some of this is partly because of Twilights explosion in popularity. I still think a bigger guest could maybe have pulled the rest together. I wont be coming to the next ET, partly because of the fact I feel they are getting less enjoyable, but also because I simply cant afford it. And the prices are set to rise again, so definitely cant afford anymore! Jamie was my favourite guest from ET3, with Chris the surprisingly awesome guest. ET2, my favourite guests were Rachelle, then Edi, with Tyson the surprise (i think he kinda proved that Kiowa could have been more enthusiastic - Tyson has done even less acting than Kiowa, and was in less of New Moon, but was sooo much more into the talks than Kiowa was). ET1, well, what can I say, all the guests were fab. Peter was HILARIOUS and so lovely. Ashley was so sweet, Kellan *gives great hugs* was very funny, and I loved the banter between Christian and Justin.
  8. Good good :) It is also possible I am having a bad day and need to rant...alas, all of my flat have gone home for the weekend. Where's the wine? I feel like getting trashed...
  9. This time next week I will be enjoying the special cocktails with friends I havent seen for a very long time :)
  10. EEEEEEK people stop the hate aimed towards me! I know I am not the only one thinking what I'm thinking, and also you dont like what I'm saying to them (which is fine - i didnt mean to offend anyone) so dont say it to me either. by 'not trusting' its more what they say than what they do. In both posts I said that I understood the difficulty in getting guests, that I LIKE who all the guests are, and that I AM looking forward to it. It's the tone of what I'm saying that's not coming across right, which is probably my fault, but also because I'm writing this on a computer, not saying it out loud. I will repeat - *I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO IT*,* I THINK THE GUESTS ARE LOVELY* and *I AM SURE THE ORGANISERS HAVE TRIED THEY BEST REGARDING GUESTS.* All I wanted to say was that *THE IMPRESSION WAS GIVEN* that there would be more guests/'bigger' guests, and that people shouldnt give that impression if it's not going to happen. I didnt mean to insult anyone, but being told to 'get a grip' when I have said positive things about the event many times before, to all the organisers, and have thanked them face-to-face at the last two events, is kind of insulting to me.
  11. I am looking forward to it, and I'm sure I'll enjoy myself, but they pretty much did promise that ET3 AND ET4 were going to be bigger and better. I cant afford ET4, and I dont really want to go anyway, because it's become so stressful getting the time off uni, and I dont really trust the organisers anymore, when they its going to be fab. the guests we have are great, and i'm sure they're all going to be so fun, but it would be nice to have a bigger cast member as well.
  12. we were originally told that a better location meant we were going to have more and better guests. Whilst I understand that organizers cant force guests, and I am *ish* ok with the ones we have, maybe it shouldnt have been announced if it couldnt be promised?
  13. im not welsh but im at uni in swansea - getting the train in, i think! I havent booked yet though. in case any of you guys are thinking of going by train, it's around £34.90 from Swansea (return) with a railcard.
  14. Thank you for the reply SM! I am one of the people who was getting worried/annoyed over the lack of response to the hotel issue (which we actually raised as soon s it happened at ET2) so now I feel a lot better!!
  15. I'm not Rileys number one fan really either. It was kinda obvious that relationship wasnt gonna go far - he is totally not the type of guy Buffy needs lol. I cant think of any episodes I hated, but I have never ever ever watched Xanders and Anyas non-wedding. It's the one episode I have never seen. And I refuse to watch it. So, I suppose, I hate that one on principle. i always hated when Angel left Buffy. I liked that episode though, just not that moment.
  16. Hi, I'm not coming to Hallowhedon (spent all my money at ET1 and 2 ) but I really want to buy osme signed photos (2 of Spike, 1 of Xander). I know HOW to buy them, just wondering if these would be personalised at all, e.g. with a quote? Is it possible to do this? One of the Spike ones would be for my moms xmas present, and although i'm sure she would be on cloud 9 if she got just an autographed picture, she would possibly pass out with a messaged one!

  20. Ok, I dont know if I'm part of the pj party...if it was a pre-organised thing, or you mean the people who stayed up for tickets, i'm not one. BUT I was one of the people on Sat night who came downstairs again, after getting into my pj's, for a impromptu party lol Clair Couper :)
  21. Gil: "How about my son then?" Emma told Rachelle about being sick whilst sitting on the toilet?! Really gross but makes me laugh because I cant believe she said it. Rachelle talking to my friend on the phone and wishing her happy 21st birthday!
  22. Sorry, who are Taylor and Rob? We want the guy who runs in the cafeteria! I reckon...2 events only. OR only what we've done so far (i.e. 2 cons and 2 proms). I can only let myself go to 2 events in one year. More than that is CRAZINESS! And I think completely new guests as a first choice, and obv past guests if there is space lol
  23. it's cold atm? really? I know im at uni in wales atm, but it doesnt seem that bad! I know its obv not summer, and it can be nippy, but compared to normal weather in middle october it seems fairly mild! and thats not just wales - wheneve i phone home my mom says the mild weather is meant to carry on through october gonna check the bbc website ok, not on friday yet....
