  1. Probably not as bad as you think, afterall the preview night is *only* 3 hours and at least not a postponed full 8 hour day
  2. OH MY !! Excited ! :) Just hope I get 5 mins to see them
  3. The schedule for the photoshoots will not be confirmed and posted until closer to the event. The number of photoshoot areas used on the Friday preview night will depend on the number of final guests arranged to visit. The chances are your shoots could be by the same photographer and won't clash. Don't be alarmed if they do as you will just need to show a crew member in one of the areas your photo tickets and they will suggest the best one to go to first as often there are different lengths of time.
  4. A massive yay followed by a sad boooo (from me) as I can only make it Friday.
  5. Checked the settings and changed to UK time. No idea when that was bounced over! I'll edit my comments out about the time now
  6. Enjoyed the chat with Luke and Phil today about the book. Just wish I'd had any budget with me to buy it as it had spectacular visuals in. I'm sure crossing my fingers and waiting for them to return in September will mean missing on the limited edition though.
  7. Farmer the lady in question on Sunday is absolutely lovely
  8. I didn't even know Musicmania had existed until last year. Completely missed that event. I'd be interested in meeting some artists and bands mixed in with LFCC and CM etc. Roger Daltry has been in plenty of television and films for example :)
  9. I've been to 3 Massive Events True Blood conventions in the past in Northampton at The Park Inn. Loved the venue as it was close to the town to get a good cheap dinner. I also attended the Boxingmania event in 2013 to meet Sugar Ray.
  10. I've never visited Bournemouth before. It would certainly be no worse than a long train journey to Cardiff :)
  11. The official Sherlock convention Sherlocked has just been announced tonight. Whilst it's not a combination with Who, it's certainly something I'm looking forward to :)
  12. With so many varied locations for Showmasters events now in the UK (London, Milton Keynes, Cardiff, Newcastle, Birmingham), you can't rely on everyone Sta Trek name you want being available at Collectomania. The most recent Star Trek event is Destination Star Trek Germany http://showmasterson...p?showforum=289 in 2 weeks with a number of huge names :) I only wish I had the funds to go! As Dwarfbabe pointed out, the first Destination Star Trek series of events was already run in London in October 2012
  13. My mind palace is doing a massive happy dance :)
  14. It's always handy to wear a t-shirt under your crew on as there will be the very occasional down times when you won't want to be stopped for questions - like when you are going to the bathroom for example or if you are going to any personal photoshoots (unless you want to wear your crew t-shirt for those). If you generally feel the cold there is no harm wearing layers, you can always remove them during the day. In fairness, just because it might be cold outside, doesn't mean it'll be cold inside with lots of people around. It's a new venue so al the crew will be on the same level of not knowing what to wear.
  15. Ripper Street has been absolutely excellent tv viewing for seasons 1 and 2. I'll be sorely disappointed if the BBC don't get their finger out and continue. There is a petition doing the rounds on twitter at the moment if you loved the show. There are several people I would love to meet from this: Jerome Flynn Charlene McKenna Adam Rothenburg Myanna Buring Matthew MacFayden and newcomer Damien Molony
  16. I feel sorry for him being constantly asked to "do the dance" - even if it was and still is worth it. I would love to meet him. Absolutely adored Fresh Prince of Bel Air and I could turn it onto any episode at any point and happily sit and watch :)
  17. I'll put my hand up, I watched more of it than I intended to as I was interested in seeing Alfonso on there. Would be great to get him to a signing show. My biggest surprise was enjoying watching David. When I saw him on the first show I didn't think he'd make it through. His calmness certainly helped. Hated Matthew and Lucy though.
  18. It's a shame, had it been these dates I would have actually made it. Disappointed to be missing this one as it was one of the things I was looking forward to.
  19. Out of interest, if you don't collect autographs I'm assuming you prefer photoshoots ? It's not clear from your posts. The gold ticket will get you down the autograph virtual queues but it seems you won't require that benefit. It will also get you to the front of photoshoot queues, but you would need a photo ticket for entry. The choice will be yours, but check out the entry details on the online store. http://www.btowstore.com/epages/Store2_Shop1309.sf/en_GB/?ObjectPath=/Shops/Store2.Shop1309/Categories/NEWCASTLE2014 will give you more information.
  20. For the last few years I've swapped to buying wallets and folders from Frank's Autographs as they are polyester which are endorsed by David Prowse
  21. How unusual as there was disabled parking right outside of Gate 6.
  22. David was absolutely lovely. I told him how much I'd felt for his Broadchurch character. He was a wonderful gentleman and I loved his attire, which made me regret not thinking about booking a photoshoot. It was so late in the day and the shoot had been early in the morning. Next time :)
  23. I was looking forward to meeting him as Bruce Davidson's "V" character is one of the ones that I remember from the show. Also he's been in so many things since then. Unfortunately there weren't any V shots but he was lovely and pleasant to chat to. I had seen someone in a Bigfoot outfit earlier Saturday and happened to be going past his desk later in the afternoon as they approached Bruce's desk.
  24. I'm hoping the formatting has come out ok as it's really not clear from the view I see on the google docs screen. Certainly in the word version it was spot on. I've resaved as a pdf and uploaded that
  25. For anyone that has time to produce a printout, this may assist with your weekend at the show. It's up to date with the information on the forum today but please do be aware that schedules can change during the event and any onsite area boards should be checked for anything you specifically want to do. Have fun everyone :) https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B5WymNp89_reM0ozdE5KaFpNVUU/edit?usp=sharing EDIT here is a pdf version to use instead which should respect the formatting https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B5WymNp89_rebUktYTE3aXpYNmc/edit?usp=sharing This can be double sided printed for easy referencing in your pocket
