I'll admit that some of what has been said re the photos MAY be true, but it's not just the crews fault, as I have seen the flicking of the photos. However it's also EVERY attendee's fault for storming in, moving the photos WITHOUT the crew seeing this, hanging round the distribution area, even when crew have asked them to move along for the time being. So, and I mean this with respect, I see most of the posts are from reasonably new forum members, I'd ask you to consider this as well. I believe also there's a post event discussion/meeting ( though not sure ) held by management at the SM towers. So it may be that as LFCC has grown, and considering the size of the queue outside on Saturday morning was round to Earls Court 1, it may be that the way distribution of photos may have to be looked at. As the event grows, SM do learn and come up with ways in which to improve their events. As for other comments about putting them online, supplying jpegs etc, I'd ask you to consider also the following:- If you've ever sent pictures by email, how long does it take you to send them ? then times that figure by 800 alone for Karen Gillan. Then imagine them creating a secure website for the pictures if you wanted to download them from there ..

Friends and I actually have a general checklist of things to make sure are packed. Especially for London in July, a small bottle of deodorant during the day is a MUST. Even a small bottle of handgel is carried, nothing worse than going up to a guest and shaking their hand ( or indeed anyone's hand ) with dirty/ sweaty hands !!

I met Allison Mack and got a photoshoot with her, just as the photo was about to be taken, she rubbed her hand down my back, causing me to straighten up, must admit it's a great photo. I can confirm that Linda Hamilton did this when I met her !

OMFG !!!!!!! A truly EXCELLENT announcement. When do EMS entry tickets and photoshoot tickets go on sale?? Please get them in the online store ASAP!!!!! As Keanu is apparently in the country, don't suppose there's any chance of you announcing him as well. To see them both together would be awesome and not just for Bill & Ted !!!

I have friends who in the past have either combined CM Glasgow with a holiday up here in Scotland, another friend has now come up early Sat morning and stayed through till Monday. So the event is starting to get support from those farther afield, and as has been said there's a nice atmosphere at the event. I've had tickets purchased for this one for a good while now to show my support, as I've purchased the tickets for my friends as well.

Yes I'd certainly pay more for a guest I really want to meet, however if x guest was announced for say this LFCC, I'd actually be disappointed as I wouldn't have enough time to get the sort of money I would want to spend on x guest. If say for example Stan Lee were announced for this LFCC, I'd def get an auto from him, but if he were announced for say Entertainment Media Show, I'd get more than one auto from him. There are about 5 actors/actresses, that I would quite cheerfully go bonkers over in relation to autos, given time and notice to save up for . I know 2 friends who would do the same with someone they would love to meet. I won't post the names though as this is not a guest requests thread.

Whilst I agree and indeed hope that Alex Kingston will do another event , there was the line in her guest announcement thread stating basically, "Get her now or don't hold your breath" http://showmastersonline.com/forums/index....showtopic=68666 Now this was also said of Christopher Lloyd and he's come back, so we can but hope that Alex Kingston will hopefully have enjoyed her day at Milton Keynes, to come back to a future event.

Banished From Rohan : I am not taking that as a dig at all, in fact I thought the crew member was doing an amazing job trying to organise people. Friends and I just can't work out why people feel the need to loiter once instructions have been given, I'd suggest a loudhailer, but lol I'd suspect Malcolm and company would have something to say about that !! Swimming Pool Lol !!! We thought the machines would make a great method of transport for us around the venue !!!

Regarding the Alex Kingston photoshoot Queue, my friends and I felt that it was only so bad and frustrating because attendees were all loitering around the area, basically hardly listening to the instructions being given by the crew member. Now before anyone pounces on this, what we also felt was that a single solitary crew member trying to give instructions wasn't much good as we did struggle to make out what he was saying. So there is some give and take there. The only other niggle we did have was on the Monday when it rained, the Stadium should have had the machines out quicker to mop the floor, as twice I nearly went my length , and my friend who had an expensive DSLR camera also commented that his heart missed a beat when he also nearly slipped and fell. That isn't the fault of SM , but would be one for discussion with the venue , on grounds of health and safety and diligence at going into action to cater a risk hazard. I certainly had a good time this past weekend, and Alex Kingston was great to meet, I didn't get a personalization as others did, but I was just happy to actually meet her.

I've had a very pleasant 2 days at the event, and the highlight is Alex Kingston, I had a lowish photoshoot number ( 189 ) and when I met her, she did mention that she was somewhat overwhelmed at the number of people queueing to meet her. Which is perfectly understandable given this is her first signing event. I believe she was personalizing in the morning, but this usually does get stopped when they realise just how many people there are waiting to meet her. Two oberservations so far though, 1 the queue outside for Alex Kingston got so long it started mixing with the normal entry queue , and no crew were outside to keep the public right on what was what. 2. The American food stall had no Mountain Dew at all, Showmasters get accused for everything else outwith their control, so just thought I'd add to this !! lol

Looks like I save some money , as was budgeting for 2 autos and a photoshoot.... Please please please get Laura to an event at some point !

If this is a first time signer to the UK , then is it Wil Wheaton ?? Some could prob work out why I'm suggesting him..... The only other person I can think of is Alex Winter, as again he'd be a first time signer in the UK. Of course, the other half of the Wyld Stallions would be a very nice indeed announcement !!!

I think Showmaster's original post as seen here, http://showmastersonline.com/forums/index....showtopic=68186 is where people are or have taken the idea that there are "Big guests" promised, that article does say " we plan to have a big guest on each day" However , for me personally, and like others have said it's also down to personal taste as to who a big guest is, in my case, having two guests who've been in Smallville , is for me my own version of a big announcement ! But there's still a month to go, maybe they have got Big guests lined up, but are holding off till the last min to reduce risk of cancellation... The bigger the guest ,the more likelihood of them getting work last min etc etc.

Have to admit, I wouldn't mind knowing dates for next year even provisional ones. I already got knocked back for several days this year at work for holiday requests, which means I miss the new preview night of LFCC for example. I'd also like to know, as my contract is being outsourced from my current employer at the end of the year, so want to get the dates for next year, in with the company taking over my contract..
