I asked at the info desk 1st thing and was told they were expecting him to attend on sat, but they hadn't been able to reach him for the past few days so were expecting him not to show up, but if he did they had a space for him. Makes me wonder I'd he was indeed actually booked in the first place - I mean the TBC suggested uncertainty of the announcement from the off! I don't think it's right to make a guest announcement when there is definite uncertainty of this nature. Very disappointed with this whole affair. YEah. Was nice of showmasters to let us know (sarcastic pause) I travelled 3 hours to go and meet Leslie yesterday and had to juggle around extremely serious medication intravenous so I could go. . Not happy one bit. Only went on the vibrato that people keep saying "can we quit all the talk of ....not turning up . They are confirmed until showmasters say otherwise

Don't be an idiot, of course I don't, but I suggest they take quicker than 2 plus weeks to find out if it is true, especially when people are asking questions. This is not the first time

I'm sorry but that's actually laughable. Can we stop all this "nothing is happening until showmasters say" please as if I hadn't took this advice 2 weeks ago when people said he'd cancelled then I wouldn't of made my family buy hotel tickets so they can meet him. I think to be honest showmasters need to find out quicker than 2 weeks if a guest who is rumoured to be canceled is cancelled. Thanks

Showmasters have been slated in the past for numerously not announcing cancelled guests and have said they won't do this so it's obvious that Colin baker is still at this sshow don't worry guys.. Well he'd best be there lol as I've told my family who r going to nmeet him all the way from Manchester that he's deffo there. It's been rumoured for weeks now that he's cancelled, enough time for showmasters to check and announce. Showmasters would not not announce his cancelations knowing how many peole will be traveling to meet him. It's inhumaine

See what Too Tall said about him or any other guest Tweeting before speaking to Showmasters. Showmasters will announce any changes as soon as official. They do not go by rumours or Tweets. As representatives from showmasters have always said, and on several occasions, cut myself down on is that if showmasters haven't announced it then he's still appearing. Showmasters would of announced his cancelations if it was true as it was a few weeks back. He's coming to the show sO if I was you, I'd start to get excited. Showmasters have had a go at so many people for saying that they should of announced people cancelling and that they don't inform so that people will still come to the show thinking the guest will still be there and seeing as the word that Colin pulled out was weeks ago, showmasters have had plenty of time to check to make sure he'll be there so trust he is. I have family travelling from Manchester to this show with the main purpose to meet him. Have fun

I'm not going to this as sporting guests don't interest me in the slightest but hats of to showmasters. Some amazing guests here. They've pulled some top names out of the bag so just wanted pass on my congratulations and thanks cos although it doesn't appeal to me, there'll be alot of happy people going to this. Good stuff

On the postive side of this I think the lesson learned was don't announce someone when you are still waiting on the contract .... get the contract and then start the build-up I think Jason and the team have done an amazing job getting this guest, can't wait to meet them. no lesson to be learned , mistakes happen in this case guest sent it by sea mail not air mail jason The lesson to be learnt is don't hype up then guest before the contract is signed and set in stone. No harm done, show masters have learnt from this mistake. To be honest, if you don't like the announcement then you don't have to but leave the rude comment out. Yeah it could have been wordeddifferentl "great new guest for dr who fans" but never mind.

I wouldn't expect a big massive guest if I were you, I mean someone like Mark Hammil, Carrie Fisher and Harrison ford wold be classed as one of those 'big guests' you're talking about. SM is working their damned hardest to get us some big names this year, look over at Chevron 7.6, they got Richard Dean Anderson , proof they are working their arses off for us. It really isn't a personal thing. Everyone knows what classes a big guest. There is such a difference between a big guest and a guest you want to meet. I'm happy with the star eats guests added but I'm not gonna sit there and say they're big guests. Mark hammill would be a big guest. I think it is - what constitutes a big guest for one person might not be for another. A big guest for a friend of mine who also attends these events was Denis Lawson. But to another mate, he didn't meet him as he wasn't interested in Star Wars. Dennis lawson was a huge guest whether you wanted meet him Or not. It's really not anpersonal thing... If David tenant was announced, I personally hate dr who and would not be interested at all but can see how that would be a big guest.

It's not a case of whether you find a particular guest as huge. Everyone knows whose a big guest, whether they appeal to you is a different story. That's not what I'm saying. A huge guest is a huge guest whether they appeal or not. And David, we were promised bigger calibre of guests. That was the given reason for moving.

Can I start by saying, I know it may seem like I have a go at CM sometimes, Im just being honest and saying how I feel. I love the show so much, am greatly appreciative of all the hard work put into the show and even more (selfishly) grateful of the oppourtunities Showmasters have given for me to meet so many of my heroes. The one question I have is are any of the announced guests, really, honestly in the huge category of guests that we were told we would be getting as a result of moving to the new venue? Again, let me reitterate, I am asking a truthful question and am in no way slagging SM off.
