  1. I can confirm that this happened at least in two queues at C7. Some volunteers had separate booklets, others were handing out loose tickets ripped out of a booklet. It happened to me in the Jolene Blalock line - I had ticket 250 something when like 30 people were in front of me only. But when I pointed it out to the other person handing out the tickets I got one from the lower numbered batch - she took the higher numbered ticket again, just for the record. And also for the Tom Felton queue where my friend standing next to me almost ended up with a 200 something ticket because she was about to take hers from the second person handing out tickets although she was like 20th in line. I think it was the same for the Bernard Hill queue because I got a ticket in the 60s on Saturday when lots of people seemed to be queueing before me - I had gone for Alexis Denisof's and Jolene's tickets first.
  2. Here's the links: TI G-Mex This TI seems to be pretty close, too: TI Portland Street And the Ibis Hotel
  3. For James Marsters it was pretty easy as he was in one of the corridors. Actually you just needed to peak through the windows to see his sign.
  4. Poor Carson? I'd have switched places with him anytime. Even taking the situation into account.
  5. Well, not in the Motel 6 hotels I stayed at. The smaller motels only have basic channels. NBC, CBS, ABC and a couple of local stuff. Sci Fi is a cable channel if I am not totally wrong, you have to pay extra. Even most of the more expensive hotels (speak Marriott or Holiday Inn) didn't have it.
  6. Erm... sorry, but Adrian Paul charged only 15 at Comic Con.
  7. 1 - I need to look into that myself so I'll post once I know some more. 2 - No they are purely there as examples. They were C7 guests. About hotels: The Travel Inn G-Mex seems pretty close going from their website. Also there are several hotels along Portland Road that give a distance of only 500 metres to the G-Mex on their sites. An Ibis for example. I've stayed in an Ibis for the London Comic Cons and it was okay.
  8. They did call the Batman people and the Buck Rogers people a "reunion" initially when the first flyers were handed out at C7. So Sah's right with that. I still have the flyer here somewhere. Question is, are they still being considered a reunion or not?
  9. For Showmasters - once. But I really think there's a very good chance he won't be the only Stargate/Atlantis guest. The shows are on hiatus in February after all. Even with that "other" show being on... there are way too many guest to get them all to one show.

    CSI Trivia!

yes, you are right. Your turn!
  11. You need to be a bit more specific so people can answer. I know that Stargate and Stargate: Atlantis are on break from mid-October to mid-February approximately. I kinda figured that most shows had a hiatus at about the same time? As Mike pointed out, the big shows are all screened from Autumn to late Spring, so I kinda figured they must all be filmed at around the same time? My reason for asking, as you can probably guess, is to do with the timing of Collectormania events... if they can time them at the same time as the hiatus, then maybe more 'current' guests can come along? It used to be pretty much the same time, yeah, but currently more and more exceptions come up. I know that a German show the week after April Collectormania used to say they did chose their date as it is because Star Trek and most other shows are on hiatus then. So seeing these shows are only a week apart, I don't really think it is a matter of bad timing.
  12. Mine in Stargate is in 48 hours when Jack jumps over the hood of his car at the petrol station to confront Maybourne. The Atlantis one is in season 2... so I rather not tell as it is a spoiler.
  13. I'm 29, and the only person I was happy about was Lee Majors. Catherine Bach was okay for me, but the rest I am absolutely not interested in. Never was into Buck Rogers.

  15. but dont the original dukes of hazzard lot hate the film The only person I heard comment at all was the guy who played Cooter. And yeah, he hates it. I voted for Dukes of Hazzard, too, though. John Schneider.
  16. Me neither. Gateworld does not allow linking I think.
  17. Umm, G-Mex is pretty large, or it used to be. I played there in the early 90s and it held twelve thousand people for gigs like that. I'd say that was a reasonable-sized venue for a Showmasters event. ;-) Oh and, as a born and bred Londoner, I happen to think that Manchester's one of the loveliest cities in England. So there! 12000 people? Wow. That's indeed pretty large.
  18. In case you didn't notice: Common Rotation is back!
  19. There's the problem, people will have to make a choice and then one event may start loosing out on fans etc. As you said yourself there are 52 weeks in a year, so why when people i.e. showmasters know there is another similar show on, on that weekend, did they not choose another weekend to hold there event As I said "business's trying to push other business's out of the market" I suppose its the way its been and the way it always will be, I just hope no-one gets hurt in the process. LLAP I see your point. But don't forget it's a matter of when the venues are available, too. From what I saw this G-Mex thing seems to be booked pretty often.
  20. *whistles* Why oh why did I only have a deja vu when reading this?
  21. Yes, please - what happened? After the interesting report about your... special day on Monday I kind of feared you found more of that stuff and this time the bomb squad blew more up than the shells.
  22. well, I must say Im curious to see the size of his queue His queue? u mean its not a transexual? If it is, that is one of the best jobs I ever saw.
  23. Thanks for the link to G-Mex. But maybe you should delete the part about Val Kilmer from your first post.
  24. Nearest airport is Manchester Airport which has a direct trainlink to the city centre. The airport has its own website at .co.uk which lists all the companies which fly through it. The next nearest airport is Liverpool John Lennon but I don't know its website or how easy it is to get to. Hope this is of some help. Manchester Airport should do fine. At least from Germany some of the cheap airlines are going there.
  25. well, I must say Im curious to see the size of his queue His queue?
