  1. Got back home tonight and although tired I've had too good a time and am too wired to sleep! I thought I'd have a flick through the forum and am actually totally astonished at the number of complaints on here! OK, so I might be slightly biased as I'm a regular attendee at CM, Chevron and LFCC, but blimey! I had a ball.......Brent Spiner was a fabulous bloke. and I must give a HUGE thank-you to the lady on the ticket buy booth AND the amazing Jason for sorting me out there due to the unexpected scheduling issue. In my experience, in any show like this it is inevitable that things don't run quite to plan...stuff happens...everyone is human! But if you [politely] talk to the folks in charge I have always found that they will move heaven and earth to try and ensure you get what you came for. Ref: photo collection...yep, this was bedlam. However I must say it would have been less so had people actually waited in a polite queue fashion rather than truning into a free for all.....NOT always the crew's fault here methinks we attendees casue the chaos by getting stroppy and refusing to budge. Well, I have an amazing time, great mates met, Joel Gretsch is even better in the flesh (I'm in lust LOL) and was a lovely guy (and a huggy photo shoot to boot) Karen Gillan was awesome...she was one busy lady with 3 shoots and a talk to do as well as autos. Bret - lovely chap, and the star of our show was Bam Bam who made Bella's day twice! in the stunts show which was top!] and Robert Knepper was also a brilliantly fab guy. Was gutted to miss Alex talk thogh as I had to leave early. And finally, as someone who was there last year for the Shatner chaotic free-for-all entry - this method ws much better organisde and got the seats I was expecting so fab! And let face it...there were humdinger guests here this year!! Isnt it amazing when u have a smile, mini chat and an auto to take home. Maybe its just my expectations are different, but had a fabulous time and the crew and staff were brilliant! THANK-YOU for a great event! Now counting down for Chevron and dithering ove the Hub One happy bunny here
  2. Indeed.....unfortunate side effect of some exciteable people but excuse for losing matters (cost nothing!) LOL....there were some very convinving Amy Ponds out there!!

Ref: photos at the desks....the guest are human beings and one day might be feeling fine and dandy and up for pics and the next jet-lack kicks in, or they are feeling rough etc. then they have every right to not have pics taken and I suspect it is then better for the crew member to put a stop to it on their behalf. and obviously mega busy guests won't have time because Showmasters want as many people as humanly possible to get the autos they came to get. 4. Big thank-you (again as ever!) to Jason and all the extremely hardworking crew (esp. the guy with the sea-shepherd beanie on PhotoshootA who was lovely and organised for the chaos that was Alex's shoot) and to all the guest who were all fabulous with special mention to David Blue for my Birthday hug and the drawings on my friend's daughter's hands (she is refusing to shower by the way LOL) and the fab couple with the most gorgeous 10th Doctor baby in the Alex queue
  5. ah shucks...hopefully get the chance in the future to meet him. I can justify Alex Kingston photo shoot now before my credit card melts completely
  6. Oh great! I like neither of these, but I am going to have a wander of the Fri for places close by to the stadium. Well during the day there is always the ASDA cafe.....tis a surreal sight seeing Darth Vader and Storm Troopers queuing in there for brekkie
  7. I loved that! When I was in one of the RDA photoshoot queues I heard this at the same time as a lady started with a normal pic, then a hug, then one with her kissing his cheek (wish I'd had that kind of nerve) and then RDA saying afterwards 'I dread to think what 4, 5 and 6 would have been' in reference to the poses I completely lost it and was a tears of laughter at the Patrick Stewart comment That has just totally cracked me up!
  8. Robert Carlyle would be my number 1 (in the absence of getting RDA back again) but also would be v happy to meet more of the SGU cast as David Blue and Brian J Smith were lovely....Ming Na would be cool. Amanda Tapping would be amazing also I'll always be ridiculously happy to meet David Hewlett again and again and again..........and Michael Shanks Paul McGillion (as never been to a weekend con with him before) Jewel Staite cos I keep missing her Christopher Heyderhal (sorry..bad spelling!) Claudia Black (I bet her and Ben would have some cracking stories to tell) although, to be honest, there hasn't been a 'bad' guest at any Chevron ever so happy for whoever comes along
  9. Highs - RDA obviously..lovely sweet (surprisingly relaxed and open) fantastic wonderful guy. Laughing so hard I thought I'd lost it (I'll never think of Patrick Stewart without cracking up laughing for the rest of my life!). Fabulous photos (Malcolm you are a star). Learning what Sea Shepherd are all about. Meeting up with friends etc. Making it to all 3 parties this time (!) My first go on a bouncy castle ever (and I am nearly 42 years old - mental age of about 12 mind u!) Lows - the worst post-con blues ever plus I am dreading my credit card bill.

    Thankyou

I agree with all the sentiments..................ALL the Chevrons have been brilliant but this was particularly special. Love u guys - please keep the Stargate cons as long as possible.
  11. Hi Jason and Mark and the incredibly hard-working crew............have just got home and didn't get chance to say this to you all last night - THANK-YOU !!!!!!!!!!!!! for another AMAZING Chevron con (to be fair they have all been so far). I am still in heaven at meeting Richard and he looked very comfortable the whole weekend so I needed to say this (hopefully before anyone starts any niggly whinges grrrrr!) Looking forward to November!
  12. yeees...time to wake up and look alive before the RDA photoshoot! 1st Chevron I've not had a 9am, shoot on the Saturday morning - surprisingly I'm not at my best usually Am soooo excited now
  13. Well he was in General Hospital as a Doctor many moons ago (according to IMDB) so sorted!
  14. Ming Na pleeeeeeeeease! NANA!!!!! Terry's probably a no because of something else somewhere in the galaxy that is happening at some time in our existence around vaguely this date (is that vague enough SM!?) But i completely second DS9 cast!!!! That would be ace...especially as I have finally persuaded a long-time Trek fan to finally come along this year!
  15. Oh my gosh I second this wholeheartedly, I would be a proper teenage girl all over again if he turned up!!!!! Yay for Lea, so looking forward to this already!!! OMG that would be AMAZING!!
  16. You soooo would not want that I'd pay to see that I'd heard that they were going to do a medley of Bee Gees hits. O'yeah Jason and I are renowned for our falsetto performances. Yeah I'd pay to see that too ;-)
  17. Sarah Douglas was at the last Chevron and she was fabulous..I could have listened to her stories for days!!
  18. Yes Yes Yes!! Was I the only one in the UK who loved 4400??!!
  19. OMG...I was dithering already with Joel Gretch but this woman is a fundamental part of my childhood (I know, that ages me somewhat!) so I am totally torn now....I need to do some sums to see if I can afford this!
  20. Bam Bam is a star...we only saw a miniscule part of his skills at Chevron so this will be awesome!
