  1. Home Alone with my 4 year old daughter, Great movie. At least she'll now be able to protect our house from burglars :) I've always fancied a modern 'horror' sequel where Harry and Marv finally get out of prison, track down Kevin and put him in a Saw type funhouse environment. I'm pretty sure Macauley Culkin would be free. Just imagine Joe Pesci back in full Goodfella's/Casino Bad guy mode lol
  2. Jaws. I'm basing this decision on the fact that if they were on different channels at the same time, what one would I choose to watch. I love Halloween with a passion and the overall impact that it had on the horror genre. However, The opening few minutes of Jaws is still one of the most terrifying and iconic scenes ever.
  3. So far the reviews are excellent. Can't wait.
  4. Both are great classic movies which I cannot even guess as to how many times I've watched. It was a tough choice for me as both are childhood favourites, but Jaws is and always will be one of the all-time greats. In my opinion, the score by John Williams alone is worthy of the final place. If it gets through to the final with Halloween, I don't think I'll be able to choose.
  5. I know what you mean it was really shocking what happend This season (so far) has been incredible. Hate the fact that I'll have to wait until February to see the next episode though. David Morrissey steals every episode as the Governor. He'd make a great guest. It was an awesome mid season finale, would love it if David Morrissey was a guest, have to confess he is a very charming man when I saw him on Talking dead :) cant wait till Feb. As long as he wore the patch
  6. Although I didn't love the first one, I still cant wait to see Smaug in action. If PJ has stuck to the book, the scenes in the mountain should be pretty amazing.
  7. What did you think?? and who do you think did the thing with the rat?? Its been such an awesome season all round, could it have been one of the little girls That is exactly what i said. And killed those 2 which Carol new and covered up. My theory anyways.
  8. Two movies which I really enjoyed that have been relegated to the horror Channel are Splinter (2008) and Frayed (2007).
  9. I might check this out.
  10. What did you think?? and who do you think did the thing with the rat??
  11. Epic movie. The scene with the Pre-raid discussion about the hoods is possibly one of the funniest things i've ever seen.
  12. Yes I kind of understand.... I just loved the Chris Reeve Superman so much that nothing else will ever be good enough for me. But I will watch Man Of Steel again and maybe like Ironman 2 which I watched a few times before I liked it, it will grow on me. But I will not ever like the Hans Zimmer theme. Buy the soundtrack on cd and listen to it. It is the same all the way through and yes what is it, Superman's theme or Zod's theme. Then compare it to the Williams score of Superman the Movie and even the Returns score and you will see it is too Batman like to be Superman like. But I am a Superman fan, I am going to get the film when it comes out and will watch it many times cos I love Superman. Maybe in a year I will up my rating for the film. It is just that I compare it to the first man to put on the suit on the big screen and I was six when I saw this. I really wanted to like Man of Steel. But I though it tried to hard to be 'epic'. Unlike Christopher Reeves Superman, I just didn't care for Cavill enough to root for him. I would have loved it to have at least incorporated a slight variation of the classic superman theme. Man that music's great. DC seem to be trying too hard to copy the Marvel movie universe.
  13. It all depends on your opinion of whats obscure. I went through a stage a few years back where I started getting into foreign movies after going to the cinema with a friend to see the Japanese film Battle Royale. This kinda started my obsession with Japanese cinema, especially the horror movies. This was before the good old US of A started remaking them. I remember watching the original Ringu one night knowing nothing about it, The ending to that movie will stay with me forever. The remake, although it done well at the box office and with the critics, isn't nearly as great as the original. Another film that will never leave my subconscious is Audition. Even though I bought the DVD, I still haven't watched it again. The great horrors of recent years in my opinion, have been French. There are a few really great movies like, Haute tension, Inside, and Frontiers. Martyrs is another great horror film which I have absolutely no desire to re-watch :)
  14. Just read that one of my favourite films of recent years is being made into a TV series. Frank Darabont is supposedly developing a mini-series for The Mist. Don't know wether to be excited or not. I love the mist and am one of the people that loved how they changed the movie ending from the original short story. The special edition DVD had a black and white version of the movie as this was how Frank Darabont imagined it, which upon a very hesitant viewing, was amazing. Gave it a true B-movie/horror feel and made the CGI more impressive in my opinion.
