  1. My family and I left at 4.30 today because we were told that we had no chance of getting George Takei or Wil Wheaton with ticket numbers around the 200 mark, and we'd been there since 9 this morning. We were literally told to "go away" and not bother coming back, and so we were very disappointed, especially since those were the only two autographs we wanted and we'd travelled from Bournemouth to get them. It might be totally different tomorrow though! Just be prepared for that possibility if you don't have a pass and be ready for long queues. I hope you get everything you want!
  2. YES THANK YOU THANK YOU I WAS WONDERING WHAT TO COSPLAY BUT NOW I'M DEFINITELY COMING AS ROCHEFORT OMG
  3. Nooooo, I can't make it to this one!!! Please get him for Bournemouth too, or London!
  4. OH MY GOD. The Santa Clause is my ALL TIME favourite Christmas movie!!! Thank you so much for this!!!
  5. I haven't seen Star Wars, or Mockingjay yet, but I will at some point before New Year, and I'm also a huge Tarantino fan, so I'll be seeing Hateful Eight as well! I haven't seen as many films this year as I would have liked (mostly because of uni) but out of the ones I did see: 1- Birdman (Just stunning, and really harrowing for me, as someone who is training to be an actress) 2- Avengers: Age of Ultron (I feel bad putting this second, but a few choices were made that I disagreed with- IT WAS STILL INCREDIBLE THOUGH) 3- Jupiter Ascending (a guilty pleasure, with some bizarre yet hilarious acting from Eddie Redmayne and space-wolf Channing Tatum... I loved it) 4- Big Hero 6 (I'm a massive Disney nut and BAYMAX RULES ALL) 5- The Martian (brilliant, funny, moving, with loads of great actors in it) 6- Kingsman: The Secret Service (enjoyed this a lot more than I thought I would and I'd love a sequel) 7- Spectre (a little underwhelming, but I adore James Bond movies, and the 'Team Bond' feel to it was brilliant- I love Ben Whishaw too) 8- Jurassic World (I enjoyed it a lot, and Chris Pratt is awesome) 9- The Theory of Everything (nice, with good performances) 10- Crimson Peak (loved the visuals but script was predictable and performances not bad but not outstanding, which is hard to type since I'm a huge Tom Hiddleston fan) 11- San Andreas (fun, but a bit cheesy, and only below Crimson Peak because the aesthetics of CP were incredible) 12- Mad Max: Fury Road (unpopular opinion probably but I found it incredibly dull- just personal taste, I think) There were several films I didn't get to see that I wanted to see: Macbeth, Bill (the Horrible Histories film) and Suffragette.

  15. I'm so sorry you had to endure this. So I suffer with panic attacks and this has now upset me to the point where I'm dreading tomorrow. I hope somebody addresses this for you. I'm beginning to wonder whether it's worth going and asking for a refund on my diamond pass. I don't want to scare you away! Just when you come in, immediately get your hand stamped, then you can use fire exits which take you out of the building. Especially if you have a Diamond pass and are planning on going to the big talks, like Aliens, which are on the higher up floors. It wasn't hectic like all day, just after big talks and lunchtime.
  16. OK, I'm not even going to try to stay calm. First the positive... however little of it. GUESTS- All of the guests I met- Tom Burke, Luke Pasqualino, Eric Bauersfeld, Daniel Portman and Maimie McCoy were lovely- MAIMIE ESPECIALLY! She was was incredible, possibly one of the nicest, if not THE nicest guests I have ever met! She even took a picture of my sister and I's Rochefort and Constance cosplays and has sent them to Tamla Kari and Marc Warren OMG (must confess, I'm freaking out a little!!! ) That's literally it. Now the negative. I do NOT expect to have a major anxiety episode caused by the overcrowding, lack of exits and poor management of stairs/lifts. I have not EVER suffered a panic attack due to overcrowding/claustrophobia before. I attend cons REGULARLY and am used to crowds, but this was something else. Having FINALLY made it to what seemed like the only air conditioned area in the building (3rd floor), I realised that I need to get to my Maimie McCoy photoshoot. The stairs were impassible, I saw a father literally shoving his way through with a small child because seriously, someone could have been killed in that stairwell. I stood for 30 minutes waiting to get a lift, because the stairs were just not moving AT ALL. When I finally got in one, I was in a lift where a disabled person was trying to get in and no one could or would get out, because a 30 minute waiting time to leave the 3rd floor was quite literally turning people desperate. As someone who suffers anxiety regularly, I have learned to control it during stressful situations. But today was so frightening that I was hyperventilating, sobbing and crying IN the lift, as well as literally on the floor on the ground level, missing my photoshoot. It totally ruined my day, something which I had been anticipating for weeks. There were SERIOUS issues with layout today, issues that will severely impact on my family's future attendance. We are not planning to attend tomorrow, despite having tickets, because it is not acceptable that my parents should have to consider calling the fire brigade to inform them that the venue was so overcrowded with so few exits, that ANY unforeseen event, like a fire, would have been utterly HORRIFIC.
  17. Hey guys! So the final arrangements for this are: PLACE: Photoshoot area B (where Maimie's shoot is) and then we'll all go together to find a spot to hang out TIME: 12:45, so at the end of Maimie's shoot BRING: Yourselves! And lunch if you want! If you have any questions, feel free to ask! See you there!!!
  18. Awesome- can't wait to see you there (I'll be the Rochefort cosplayer)! And OMG I KNOW- 9.30 is so early, but what an amazing start to the day it'll be!!!!
  19. Thank you so much! Everyone has worked really hard on them! Meeting up with the Burketeers would be so awesome (and I assume you'll be out in force! ) I'll post in here whereabouts we're meeting later this week, so if you want to come along, feel free to (and if you can't, you'll probably spot some of us around anyway, so feel free to say hi then too!)
  20. A group of us are organising a BBC Musketeers Meetup/Picnic/Photoshoot on Saturday the 18th, at 12:45 (after the first Maimie McCoy photoshoot)! 11 of us are confirmed as attending at the moment and we'd love for more people to join us (cosplay is not essential)! https://www.facebook.com/events/524494104348936/
