  1. An extra 3 hours on the Friday is a great move. I am not surprised Friday is going to be close to or sold out.
  2. That sounds most likely yes.Didn't they sell a bunch of online old shop tickets for rda first?Plus with all the golds going first...you might be at the later shoot...
  3. i like the idea only problem is for those that buy entry tickets as gifts for people. how on earth would they get all their photo shoots and talks? Each person attending LFCC must have a unique account/ID. You could still buy tickets as a gift and then load them onto your friend/family members unique id as a gift.
  4. I would go down the card type route personally, but instead of card just have a unique qr or scannable code and everything you buy gets loaded onto your account. You can print your unique id or have it on your phone. Your app would let you view all you've bought and you just have one ticket to carry around. You turn up for rose leslie photo and the person scanning has set their scanner for rose leslie and once scanned your unique code it knows your here for rose and marks that off in your account.
  5. Was a helluva lot easier when tickets were ordered in number...too many getting confused with session and batches!
  6. Since sat/sun sold out and last week friday had sold 70 percent of tickets, I'd expect by the time the show opens for friday to now nearly sellout too and all 3 days to be extremely busy.
  7. Be transparent...saying there is a cap is meaningless, for all we know it could be a 25000 or 40000 cap each day...
  8. I wouldn't do anything that slows down entry or makes things more complicated...a badge/id system might work if you had the space and extra volunteers to process it more quickly. Since the percentage of tickets that have ended up on ebay is tiny, why not devote one of your staff to regularly check and report ebay sales, citing the non-transferrable nature in your report.
  9. Imagine with ovee 400 golds sold and most turn up for gemma and collete's photos...i can imagine the surprise on their faces at the size of the queue!
  10. What happens if you are allergic to the plastic gold wristband? Can I get a gold chain like Mr T. instead?
  11. About 3 weeks out, guest lists always are at their peak, look great. Then as arrangements are being made, in the lead up, you get the unfortunate cancellations. It's rare not to get a handful though, but it's always the ones many of us desire to meet!
  12. Sunday will sell out. It will be equally as busy as Saturday.
  13. People who bought the eventbrite ticket can get the refund quicker, but if you have physical tickets you will probably be advised that sending back note of your order number, gold pass order number and the physical tickets is needed to get a refund....
  14. Guys...I've already started the queue...see you in 2.5 weeks! I'll be the guy with the tent :)
  15. A week? Good luck to the people who buy photoshoots 5-6 days before the event starts and forget to click the button...they'll be getting the email after the event has finished :)
  16. Up to 50 photos... I think this will be my first lfcc I'll need a gold pass...
  17. She sold very fast because she is a great Marvel guest and only 20 quid...
  18. I'm sure SM were quite aware of how many tickets were available in total, how many sold and ongoing progress... Thought it would have been quite important, helpful and relatively straight-forward to say a few weeks ago on the website and forum "Warning: Only 10% (3000) of available Saturday Tickets left"...to be honest, it should have been a number 1 priority in my book!
  19. My thoughts on the app and using your phone: The app lists your orders. If you've bought a lot of tickets and many different orders, you'll need to click each order to find the right ticket. I'm surprised the app wasn't designed so that for an event, all tickets bought weret sorted by the date itself. I'd have programmed that functionality as it would be a time saver listing tickets by day! The Ram/CPU consumption isn't too bad actually, it's not too much of a hog. Over a long day, using the app might push a few people's battery to critical level though... What happens if your phone stops working or the battery dies? What's your backup, do you have one? If you have a few clashes and the crew member asks to see your tickets, it's time consuming finding them on your app and showing them on the phone compared to showing a couple of printed etickets. So if they don't ask, it leaves the door open for chancers to say they have clashes if you don't ask to see the tickets... For me personally, I'm not going to use the app. I will use printed etickets.
  20. If you haven't paid the £2.50 validation charge, you WILL be turned away. As wrong name says the validation fee will be strictly enforced, hence why those who forgot to add it to their orders received an email. Tickets without a validation fee payed are invalid and as above will be turned away. You turn that person away who has paid £395 over this £2.50 essential fee, you of course HAVE to refund £395 and so have lost the sale completely... The software should have been fixed to prevent the sale of worthless tickets. If 2 conditions are true (punter has checked box and clicked a link) then proceed with sale. If not, tell them they must click the 2 boxes or they can't proceed. How simple is that? You eliminate the selling of worthless tickets...Why eventbrite couldn't fix it is beyond me (I know it's not SM's fault)!
  21. Word of advice. Be careful with your etickets and treat like cash. Don't put a photo of your eticket online anywhere...
  22. Very kind of Showmasters...just picked up 9 free Rey Mysterio photoshoots :) I figured 10 would be greedy...
  23. I can envisage a portion of people with diamond passes thinking they will be allowed into LFCC first, that their diamond pass with guest x somehow enable them to go to the front of the photoshoot queues of guests a,b and c etc...
  24. There is a limit on Olympia's space (about 40,000 sq/m) and unfortunately they can't have LFCC at London's biggest exhibitor's venue, Excel (about 80,000 sq/m). Not sure how much more you can grow a show when the venue is a major limiting factor, but adding a Thursday would certainly help It can certainly grow in terms of overall 'quality' of guests, but to offset that, maybe the entry prices would need to increase. The biggest comparable con across the pond has 150,000 attendees but the floorspace of their event centre is nearly 80,000 sq/m.
