  1. I bought my first on Saturday for £1.50 (it was a 10x8). Every con I go to, my photos end up getting a little creased (with the exception of last LFCC when I remembered to bring a cardboard-backed envelope with me, but even that got a little bent). Well worth the money, because these are probably the best-kept photos I have from a con! The only problem with it is that the glossy ones stick to the folder. Fortunately, I ended up with a 10x8 matte picture that I placed in the front, with the glossy ones behind. As for where I store mine...the ones from this weekend are still in that folder, some are in an envelope somewhere, I'm not entirely sure where my Mark Sheppard ones from last year went , and I have two currently in my degree certificate folder lol. I need to buy a photo album to put them all in, really... So disorganised...
  2. I agree with the people just standing around...I saw a lot of it happening, especially around the bigger guests' photos. It was quite bad around the Iron Throne pics too. I couldn't get anywhere near them, and only got a hold of my photo because some lovely gentleman spotted it and me and passed it out to me (whoever you were, thank you!). I think maybe it could have been better to have the Iron Throne photos out somewhere else? I'm sure a LOT of people must have gotten these and it would have left more space for the guests' photos and lessened a bit of the crowding. I heard that the Iron Throne shoot area closed after 3pm? There were tables outside of this that perhaps would have been better to display the photos on after this time. A certain guest on the Saturday too...their photos were marked as being out, but they weren't and the crew on table B (where they were marked as being out) didn't know where they were or when they would be getting them. I did hear quite a few questions about this...surely it would have been much easier on the crew if this guest hadn't been marked off until the photos were actually there? Same with crowding...people thought that the photos were out, so must have crowded round to find them. It was a good half an hour later before I saw the photos (I think those photos have the most to do with my legs hurting so much now! I was running between various areas of the hall and the photo tables for the better part of the afternoon). I never did get my John Bradley shot back on on the day either, which is a shame because I had wanted to get that signed (I thought with the shoot starting at 2pm it was a safe bet since last year I got a shoot that started later back well before the end of the day). I don't know if they ended up getting put out, but I had just rejoined my friends after checking the table a little after six o'clock (and filling in a form) when we were shooed out of the hall, so I couldn't go back and check again. Strangely, I did see Karl Urban photos out, and his shoot was after John's (granted, I remember John's starting quite late).
  3. Can't hurt to ask...I was Daenerys Targaryen in her Qarth dress on the Saturday. I did see a few Daenerys cosplayers walking around, but I didn't see anyone else in this dress. Granted, mine wasn't fantastic, but I did get asked for a few pics :).
  4. Chris Judge and Ben Browder! I usually would not meet guests twice, but I would love to see them at another event. Going to say Karl Urban too since I never got the chance to meet him XD.
  5. Agreeing with everyone here XD. Both him and Chris Judge were just wonderful. I would definitely see them again, and I'm not one to see the same guest twice either!
  6. Were you the Diana with the baby Visitor? If you were, I saw you with a Visitor while I was queuing for a photograph. I was hoping to spot you guys later to ask for a photo but sadly I didn't . Definitely my favourite costumes from the day!
  7. Chris Judge, hands down. He really did seem to have a smile on his face all day, and was truly wonderful with everyone from what I could see! Seems that his reputation for being an awesome guy is well earned. Dude also has the patience of a saint XD. He was the deciding factor for me attending this year, and I am glad that I did! Ben Browder was almost on a par though! He was lovely, and I'm pretty sure I heard the girl with him telling someone he had volunteered to stay right until the end? I heard he was quite jet-lagged too so that is super-nice if it's true!
  8. I am travelling from Croydon too, so it is slightly annoying that overground is suspended where we need it! Especially since I'm not the Underground's biggest fan XD.
  9. I am glad that none of my shoots clash! And that I can even fit the Karl Urban shoot into my schedule (pending tickets, of course). Good organisation there :). Figured I was safe with the Stargate guests. I am a little bummed that Chris Judge and Ben Browder don't have talks, but to be honest I don't think I would be able to fit them into my schedule unless they were late in the afternoon. Will we be getting a floorplan before the event? It was a great help last year to know where everything would be beforehand (especially since I plan on rushing straight to buy a photoshoot ticket as soon as I get through the doors).
  10. Yes, that would be a very good idea. Due to the schedule of my photoshoots, I will only be able to queue for tickets until 10:30am (my photoshoots go right up until 2:15pm). I think the fight for Karl Urban tickets is going to be stressful enough; I don't particularly fancy fighting with fans of all the others guests too!
  11. I am also wondering if there will be any tickets left by Saturday? I have early bird entry, but if tickets are available on the Friday, is there not a chance of them selling out then?
  12. Yes!!!! Oh, and I was convinced I wouldn't be interested in the big guest.
  13. Yes please! I met David Giuntoli last month, and got a dual picture of Nick and Monroe from Grimm signed...would love to get Silas to complete it! He had nothing but good things to say about his co-star, it just really made me want to meet the guy XD.
  14. Well, I have photoshoots bought for Chris Judge, Ben Browder and John Bradley. Autographs depend on how much time and money I have on the day! So far hoping for: Chris Judge Ben Browder John Bradley Norman Reedus There are others I would like to meet, but I think that is all I can feasibly fit into my budget! Would have loved to meet Iain Glen, but unfortunately I can only make it on the Saturday .
  15. I have a friend who will be attending as Jon Snow ^^, Ooh, I'll have to keep my eyes open!
  16. Gotta love last-minute change of plans... Assuming that everything goes smoothly and I get her finished, I shall be cosplaying Daenerys Targaryen in her Qarth dress (if not, Sookie!). Any other Game of Thrones cosplayers going to be there? :)
  17. Plans change all the time! XD Due to time and money constraints, Ishta is out. Shall be there as Black Canary now!
  18. So far it's better than last year for me. I know there were a lot of big names last year, but the only guest I was psyched about meeting was Mark Sheppard. Chris Judge and Ben Browder are right at the top of my 'actors I would love to meet' list. Now we just need Joe Flanigan and this will be the event of the freaking decade .
  19. I sure hope so :). It's really nice to see so many Stargate guests already. I can see that this is going to be one very expensive con for me ;.
  20. Still unsure if I can attend (all depends if I can get the time off work!) but I'm going to try my damned hardest - wanted to meet Christopher Judge for what seems like forever >.<. Was planning to do a Hathor and Ishta cosplay sometime so seems fitting that I get it done for this . Probably Ishta.
  21. Thanks for posting these :) - nice to see some shots of the HP group (I was Luna )! YAY LUNNAAAA!!! No probs I wish the others would show theirs LOL, if you want any of the pics larger and untagged let me know I can mail them to you or link you on here :0) BTW I bumped into an amazing Pansy while I was dressed as Harry briefly (well it was Draco under the infulence of Poljuice potion of course *chuckles*) I WISH I had met her before and wish I knew who she was.... I could do with a Pansy LOL That would be awesome, thank you . I forgot to give the people taking pictures my camera so I don't really have any of the group :). Would you be the same Draco Malfoy that is on Cisplay Island? Is it okay if I PM you with my email over there? Ooh, awesome about the Pansy cosplayer! I saw a few other Harry Potter cosplayers wandering around, but I didn't see a Pansy .
  22. Thanks for posting these :) - nice to see some shots of the HP group (I was Luna )!
  23. I just have to say how much I enjoyed Robert Knepper's talk. I'm a fan, but it was just an 'I wouldn't be gutted if I missed it' thing...and ended up being the highlight of the day for me :). He seemed like a genuinely nice guy. Didn't realise he'd been to so few conventions. A bit gutted that I didn't meet him now, because it could be a while before he returns . I loved the Nintendo area too. I was expecting it to be so much busier than it was but I managed to get to play a demo I've been anxious to try for ages (the staff in this section were also nice...then again all staff I spoke to that day were nice). The only guest I met was Mark Sheppard, who was great; seemed really down to earth. Sadly, I didn't get there in time for tickets for his talk, but overheard a little of it anyway as I was queuing for the Harry Potter talk :).
