it would be wonderfull if james would turn up but i dont hink he will after certain things happening to do with the rift.
i read a message from steve on his site and well just look your self , i cant believe some people have no respect for the actors
he's such a friendly and wonderfull person and a pleasure to meet in preson.
no matter who turns up the hub will be a blast

Wow... I knew some fans were real pains but I feel really bad for James now. I hope this doesn't taint his impression of fans or conventions, although I imagine he's very good at bouncing back and taking things in his stride. Well, I doubt anyone really believed this woman anyway - James is notorious for being fiercely dedicated to pleasing his fans and I don't reckon he'd fake illness just to go home early! I don't think I'd ever be audacious enough to over step my boundaries and try to embarrass James, but I guess some people have no social skills... NO.GIF

I couldn't believe the way some people were towards James at Milton Keynes. I've met him quite a few times now and could tell he really wasn't a happy puppy that day. Thank you to those idiots who spoilt it for the rest of us! mad.gif
I spoke to Steve at Milton Keynes and told him 'we' really appreciate all James does for his fans and I hoped that the events of the weekend and nasty rumours wouldn't put him off doing this again. Hopefully this new project he has in the UK will keep him with us! Keep your fingers crossed guys!!

Unfortunately, there were people at an event who see James being asked the cheeky questions, being huggy in photos etc and think this is their q to go and touch him where they shouldnt in the photo, there is a big difference to having fun and a laugh with any guest and overstepping the mark and some of these people dont seem to know the difference which ruins it for the rest of us as well as the guest. In future i hope that if this happens to any guest the person will be removed from the event and threatened with prosecution.

I completely agree. You wouldn't do that to a stranger in the street so why do it to someone who is essentially still a stranger just because you have a brief up-close moment with them. It is, afterall, a privilege and not a right.

Makes me wonder if my photo with him was before or after he'd been harrassed... I regress into a shy eight-year-old when I meet celebrities and I was apprehensive about evening putting my hand on James's shoulder, but he was very sweet and tolerant. He didn't do his sexy look with me like he did with my friend, but I think it's because I didn't press myself against him like some people do. blink.gif

Early on Saturday morning he was doing all the poses and standing up, later that day and for the rest of the weekend he was sitting down after the incidents.

your photo is nice, its what your comfortable with. James picks up when people are nervous or shy and happy just to do the side by side shots . Some fans will have requests for certain poses or the huggy ones but being polite he will always ask if its ok first.

That's a really nice photo. biggrin.gif Are there any photos when he doesn't look sexy - I've yet to see one!

Hehe, thank you! blush.gif True, there isn't an expression James has that doesn't radiate pure heat... it's those eyes! *Swoons*

Ok i feel the need to correct myself here....I WAS JOKING ABOUT HIM GETTING HIS SHIRT OFF AGAIN.....for the record i do not and never had any kind of attraction to the man so have no wish to...he was just such a laugh on that day that the memory stuck in my mind. I have alot of celebrities i consider true friends so i don't treat them like trash or go all gooey on them....they are ordinary guys and gals to me...nothing more, nothing less, they just happen to be in some top quality shows. This was not my first con that i have been to and James was not the first celeb i have ever seen. I have respect for a high amount of the celebs out there as long as they don't cross the line with me...and believe me a fair few of them have....Matthew Perry for one who thought it was his liberty to push in front of me to get a coffee. Like i said i was only stating what happened...yes he was game with alot of his questions and answers and yes he did take his top off but i have no wish to see it again...once is enough...as i said i was joking...anyhows he was a lovely guy towards me and i have respect for him, had never seen him before, never seen him perform and had never watched a single episode of Buffy but he was genuine and that earns respect. I have no time for people who swan all over the celebs like they are the grandest thing on this planet....just thought i'd set the record straight as a few people seem to have gone and got muddles with my meaning.

Oh and can someone please tell me what happened at MK...i was there and only had my photo done with James...didn't do the autograph session...was more interested in the fantastic people who were there raising money for GOSH dressed as the Star Wars cast.

None of this "bad fan" stuff was being said against you, it just opened up the topic. unsure.gif

I wasn't sure what went on at MK either, so I had a look on a few fan forums and found out he'd had some trouble while doing the photoshoot on Saturday morning - several women went a bit far and were groping him inappropriately, even grabbing his crotch at one point. Apparently it was the reason he was sitting down and refusing a few hugging poses.

When you say you consider some celebrities true friends, what do you mean? Are you actually proper mates with them?

That's not on....that is over stepping the mark by a huge long shot...the people in question should be ashmaed of themselves...im sure they wouldn't like it done to them by someone and would probably call the police and report it. If it happens at the HUB they should automatically get thrown out and banned from future events until deemed ok for them to return....some people obviously have no respect.

As for celebs as friends...yes i do have a few that i class as close friends...they are just like normal people to me though...i don't see them as huge mega stars...acting is just their job...im good friends with Derren Brown..we meet up for lunch when he's free, im also good friends with Elijah Wood and Orlando Bloom..we meet at the most once a year but we chat via phone and email....these guys are often very busy and Orlando's building his new house but i have respect for that as their jobs demand alot of time. I occasionally chat to Viggo Mortensen but he's such a hard one to keep in contact with as he's always off and about...plus i don't love stateside....so it's doubly hard to meet up....Johnny Depp was very nice to me this year as well...our passion for hats and weirdness and all that....but as i said..i see them as normal people...i see them as friends...and out of all of them Derren is my bestest...he lives here in the UK and is such a genuine and lovely guy...plus he always pulls a chair out for the lady at meals...lovely guy...

Man i didn't realise anything had happened to James at Collectormania except on Sunday i noticed security were standing pretty close to the photo shoot.

Thats a shame he has to be one of the nicest guys and most giving at a convention i've ever seen and i would love to see him at The Hub
