Also conventions quite often centre on one particular genre or franchise - Such as Eternal Twilight, Chevron (Stargate), The Hub (Torchwood) etc. -

Mike is my partner. I'll pass your comments onto him. he'll be thrilled. It WAS his first con and was nervous at first. He'll defo be back and is looking at Milton Keynes in November. -
I'm not sure entirely - but generally the photographers stick to the same area over the entire show. If so, then Photo Area A was Giles, B was Duncan and C was Chantelle and maybe the Prop shoot area was Gary?

Earls Court demolition plan approved...

ExCel is a pain at the best of times considering they usually like to take down the DLR most weekends for engineering... i'm sure that would go down well. -
Whatever next? Lets all make people who sneeze, hiccup, burp or fart leave the line too?

Hope everyone was happy with their over the desk photos I took for them with Joe Dempsie on Saturday. I do try to give you all a countdown before taking the picture and more often than not will always check it's okay before giving you the camera/phone back. Also I do apologise if you were unable to get a posed one with him, due to the fact we had over 600 VQ's given out for him, a decision had to be made to stop posed pictures and unfortunately for a few you, personalisations. Thankfully we managed to get through them all with 10 mins of the show left. Joe asked me to pass on that you're all a crazy bunch folks, and Saturday for him was just mental. He enjoyed every second and wouldn't hesitate coming back (work permitting) if invited. Andy (Joe's GA)

Well both weekends are free if I've read the fixtures today correctly. MK Dons play 2nd November at home to Walsall, then no match until 16th Nov when they're away to Oldham.

web site issues sorry and they are being fixed
RainbowDisney replied to showmasters's topic in Entertainment Media Show
The main website doesn't take pre-orders for anything. The online shop was never affected by the attack and can be found on a totally different link had you asked for it, -
website - is still being repaired!

I had the warning too other day using Firefox. However, i took a risky gamble and bypassed the warning and went to the site anyway. I then did a thorough anti-virus, malware and bot scan and all came back clean. Sometimes people register the sites as attacks on purpose to have them blocked. -
From my own personal experience of working the Photoshoots at EMS and LFCC etc we usually start them around 10 - 10:30, but please don't quote me on that. Depending on the amount of shoots to be done and of course the amount of photoshoot areas, that could all change. Best to wait for official confirmation from SM's or a reply from TooTall/Mods who can find out for you.

Ok i'm there! Crewing or not lol -
You are all of course aware that ME is part of the Showmasters family and therefore majority of time the past few weeks (Marks as well as Jasons)has been taken up with CM:MK and LFCC. Ranting, raving and pig headed threats or accusations will not make any news or announcements appear any quicker. If there is news to share, it WILL be done as and when which has ALWAYS been the case.

That is what happened. All gold were called. (regardless of them having a low or high ticket number) and then STANDARD tickets under 200. So in effect what you ARE saying is that you expected to be in strict ticket order after the Gold. It doesn't and CAN'T work like that.

The reason I'm bringing this up is that same thing happened with a number of other people I know and have seen comments on the feedback thread and this also happened at collectormania as well so showmasters needs to sort it. I have experienced it before and it was with Karen Gillan I never said anything then but now I am because it is a issue that they are not doing anything about it. Exactly WHAT is the issue though? How did it effect you personally? Were you unable to get your photoshoot done or is it simply because you had ticket number 26 that you expected be standing 26th in the queue? You're early ticket number guaranteed you to be in the first batch of people called, nothing more. If we had to have everyone strictly in ticket number order then by the time we've found all the people before and after you the photoshoot would have started and ended. Filling a queuing area designed for 200 people, with only say 50 people at a time would be a logistical nightmare and photoshoots would drag on longer than they needed too affecting the ones to follow.

Another event to fill the winter/spring months.....
RainbowDisney replied to Bentayuk's topic in General chat
The last of the BIG events as you know is the EMS in October - after that it's usually specific ME Cons up until Easter. I should imagine it's a very difficult period between those dates to successsfully negotiate contracts with guests due to impending Christmas and New Years plans they may already have, and indeed finding available venues that aren't already booked up with xmas fayres and exhibitions.
