Icena
Was just wondering if anyone was bringing gifts for a guest they especially admire? I know some of you are super creative and make bracelets etc :)

dwarfbabe
Some people do give the guests gifts. Anyone planning to do so should read the information below, taken from the FAQs. Can I give a guest a present? There is no problem with giving gifts. Please do be aware that the guests rarely take these things with them when they leave.Basically don't waste your money on anything too expensive. Either go for something they may like to eat or drink (sweets, chocolate, beer, but not home made things as they're unlikely to eat them as they won't know what's in them). Or give them something different and personal. I know one girl on here that gives people vegetables. Sounds odd but they remember her and that's the point really, you want them to remember you from the crowd.Trust me you'll get the same positive reaction out of a £1 bag of sweets or a 4 pack of beer as you will out of a £10 generic teddy bear and they're more likely to enjoy the sweets, than to take the bear home. Sassy1988
I used to give little wind chime gifts to guests I like most but that was because I got a whole box full of them for free from my mum, apparently my mum bought something from auction and got a whole box of wind chimes for free for just purchasing what she got so and I had no idea what to do with them I would like to think that the guests kept them but they probably didn't oh well they where free any ways lol still have lots more in the box too and everyone I know already has one so I just keep them in the box in a corner, might give more to other guests I like in the future but who knows not come across any guests for a while that I particularly like a lot to give another out xD
fantasyfan
I brought little gifts to the guests I met on past conventions. You don't need to give him/her a BIG or EXPENSIVE gift. The most important thing is that the gift should be something nice, like a special Keychain, or a Mug, or a Scarf. I gave a pocket-bag to an actor I met. The bag had printed on it a part of Sheakespeare's Hamlet monologue. That's why I choose that bag.
LadyDeTemps
I was thinking of making (well you know you get those bottle necklaces) a dalek in a bottle. I made one the other day and it was so easy I will probably make a few more to use as gifts.
Khalessi Kate
Last year I gave Jason Momoa a Guinness hat which had a bottle opener worked into it. He loved it and it came in handy as my friend had bought him bottles of Guinness and a glass too.
LadyDeTemps
Ah here are my nearly finished items. Just got to get some more cord for the necklace and the keyring attachment for the other charms. (The broach CF is for my cousins cosplay.)
Sheppy dreamer
If I remember rightly david Hewlett said no to gifts to donate to a charity instead but I can't remember which one.
