AshleighJay
Hey :) So this will be the first time me and my hubby are taking our 2 year old son (suitably dressed in an outfit we just can't decide upon) and we are just wondering what it's like taking babies/ toddlers with you to the event? Thanks Ashleigh x
Queen_Sindel
You posted in General Chat - which event will you be attending? Saturdays can get very crowded, especially if you'll be attending LFACC. It may be difficult to maneuver then with a stroller if you plan on bringing one. Most little ones I've seen or met at the shows seem really fascinated, especially by the cosplayers. But I think one of the deciding factors is how well your son deals with crowds. AshleighJay
Thankyou :) Yes we will be there on the Saturday... I think he will be ok with the crowds and sure he will love the characters etc. yes food idea we probably won't take a buggy- he can walk/ we will carry him! Raylenth
Make sure you have plenty of water for him if he's in a custume as it can get warm in the halls with all the people around.
AshleighJay
Will do :) Will take a packed lunch for him. He will only be in a little costume... Don't think he would appreciate masks and headgear just yet! Save that for when he's older haha! X
GoldenGreen
I started taking my two boys from when they were 4 to events. They both absolutely loved them and have been to Collectormania and LFCC on a number of occasions. The older one will be going to his fifth LFCC this year and the younger one his second. A number of reasons I waited till there were 4: - They didn't need the buggy any more to get around - They could both use the toilet The main attraction for them was the stalls, loved looking at the toys and persuading me to buy them for them and getting pics with the Cosplayers ! Always bring plenty of food and water to keep them happy. They tend to get bored in the talks to be honest, although the older one when he was younger did enjoy the stunt shows that we had a couple of times at LFCC (whatever happened to them ?). Last year the younger one on his first event insisted on wearing his Spiderman outfit for his photo with Stan Lee, which is now proudly mounted on his wall, although not quite sure how many of his 5 year old friends know who Stan Lee is, probably think its his Grandad !
Faerie Tanith
Little ones do tend to love the cosplayers-- when I cosplayed Elsa I got compliments from people of all ages but my favorite 'fans' were the under 5's, they look so amazed and awestruck in such environments. :)
