Do you think prepay tickets for autographs like the photo shoots would

Recommended Posts

For those guests yes but only the one who would literally be classed as the headliners eg.) hard to get to attend etc.) such as Hugh Jackman for example

Everyone else I think should stay VQ but perhaps the headliners should be in a seperate area to everything else?

I've been thinking the same. Maybe agree a fixed amount of autographs with the guest, for example say 1000, then sell tickets for them. After the pre bought autograph tickets have gone through then open up the queue or go back to VQ's.

The problem with prepaying for autos is simply the time it takes to do them - some of the guests wizz through the lines, some don't and don't get through that many customers. Then you either have to say to people who have paid 'sorry but you can't have your auto' or make the guest stay until they have finished everyone!

Maybe a combo would work for the bigger guests. Pre sell say 200/300 (that way once the gold and silver ticket holders have been added you might be at the right amount for the slower guests) and offer VQ tickets on the day for after a particular time on the proviso that they may not get through (like it is with the higher numbers now). Or apply for vq tickets on line and issue them before the event but of course that would cause problems for the late announced guests. :)

If it was a pre-paid system.

It could be worded into their contract how many they agree to sign.

Then they could pace themselves over the day.

If you agree to 1,000, you'd know that you'd have to hurry up a bit.

I think the pre sale of high profile guest autographs is a good idea but won't happen as if they sell say 1000 and all these are through within 6hrs the guest won't have anything to do. at the same time if they are signing slow they will have to stay until all 1000 are signed which again they probably wouldn't do.
