  1. I wish I could go, and I wish that you had made announcements sooner. But in either case, I have no money, and no chance at booking off time from work.
  2. Well this has been a long time coming. :) The pictures of me in the brown jacket are from LFCC 2009. Everything else in the album is from LFCC 2010. http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.4...c5a9&type=1
  3. Most of the merchandise on sale is usually pretty good, but generally overpriced in my opinion. The stall selling retro consoles and games was a disgrace with regards to pricing so I wouldn't touch it was a 10 foot barge poll. I've bought anime figurines from a few stalls and always haggle the price down if I think its too much. Its mainly down to word of mouth and personal judgement whether something is good quality or worth the price on the stalls. If you know which stall you bought it from I suggest you try contacting them directly to sort it out, most stalls will have a website/contact details. I don't remember the name of the stall, but I do remember that it was quite close to the closest autograph wall.
  4. Has anyone elses suspected that they bought a repackaged item, that was apparently sold as new? For example: On the Saturday at LFCC, I bought an electronic TARDIS replica that looked like it was BNIB. I've only just had a chance to open the box, and have found that it is dirty all around the base, with a huge scratch on the left side, a few small scratches on the back windows, and with battery springs that have no "springness" within them. There are a few spots of dirt on all sides of it aswell, and one of the "Police Public Call Box" stickers on a light up part has evidence of peeling off. I paid £45 for it. I then see the same thing for £10 on the Sunday, quite close to the con entrance. I'm kind of getting the "ripped off" feeling here as I bought something that I was told was brand new, when the evidence states that it had been opened and returned before. Anyone else have that happen to them during LFCC?
  5. Every single LFCC related photo I took. Too lazy to seperate the cosplay photos from the celebrity photos, but you can pretty much guess who I am in the pictures. I loved all the costumes I saw! If I bumped into you, you can add me on Facebook. Also, there was a person who took a single picture of me, right near closing time during the Sunday part of the con. She came upto to me and specifically asked if I was cosplaying as the 9th Doctor. I said yeah, she said it was the best 9th Doctor costume she had seen there, and snapped the picture. Please excuse the sweat stains on my jumper, but it was hot, and I was wearing a jumperplus a thick leather jacket, lol. http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.1...mp;l=b26f625fdf (I'll rotate and properly edit the pictures later).
  6. I don't know if anyone is still checking this thread, but if you are, it was great meeting up with a lot of you for the photoshoots. :) If you like, and if you saw me, you can add me as a friend on Facebook. http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=507362125
  7. Just so you know, my costume will include a dark blue v-neck jumper, as seen in "The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances". If that matters at all. I did have a green jumper, but it got ripped apart.
  8. The 9th Doctor - The 9th Doctor Both saturday and sunday. Probably not there for the 1pm shoot as I bought the 11am onwards tickets, but definitely available for the 5pm shoot. Where shall we meet? This is me. If you see me, then let me know what is going on http://a5.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-...7_1682323_n.jpg

  10. I kinda need to know soon as I have to start planning my budget for next years event. Plus, I am meeting a friend coming over from Brisbane, Australia and a bunch of other friends so it would be nice to be able to confirm a budget for us. :)
  11. OMG RICHARD DEAN ANDERSON!!! Now, I need to start selling my own blood to get to Chevron 7.6!!!
  12. Well, if we are suggesting YouTube celebrities: Ray William Johnson (=3) Tessa Violet (Meekakitty) Thomas-Rees Kaye (themastercrevasse) Sebastian Bird (DaleksFearMe) Philip Defranco (sxephil) Adam Kovic (TheDeadPixel) Ian and Anthony (Smosh) and a internet celebrity who branched out onto his own site: Doug Walker (The Nostalgia Critic)
  13. I'll be going as Christopher Eccleston's Doctor again, although this time, i'll probably modify my leather jacket to make it more accurate. You can see me in my costume from the 2010 event here.
  14. Freema Agyeman Sylvester McCoy Amanda Tapping Jorge Garcia Rachel Luttrell Craig Charles Robert Llewellyn Gates McFadden
  15. Freema Agyeman Sylvester McCoy Amanda Tapping Jorge Garcia Rachel Luttrell Craig Charles Robert Llewellyn Gates McFadden That's all off the top of my head. :)
  16. At one of the tables, one of my newest mates Dan Sams ( http://www.facebook.com/#!/profile.php...5599&ref=ts ) managed to get a Doctor Who badge in the style of those VIP badges. It was an 11th Doctor badge since he went as the 11th Doctor (complete with a fez and mop). I went as the 9th Doctor ( http://www.facebook.com/#!/album.php?a...p;id=507362125) and he was going to show me where he got his badge from, but we got seperated by the crowd. I wanted to get one of the 9th Doctor. Does anyone know the badges I am talking about, and if so, are they still available from somewhere else?
  17. I don't mean to be rude, and I know you were looking for a room that was affordable, but, that looks less like a hotel room and more like those overly-comfortable prison cells that are commonplace these days.
  18. There is a whole guest suggestion section, please feel free to use it. Usually when the new event section is up a general guest selection topic will pop up there too. I didn't notice it. I haven't delved that deep into the Showmasters forums yet. :)
  19. Thats weird, because I saw like 5 or something tables with nothing but Star Trek figures. Mostly from the TNG and JJ Abrams era though. I didn't see any from TOS, DS9, Voyager or Enterprise though.
  20. Can we suggest guests? I was reading David Blue's (SGU's Eli Wallace) twitter feed and he said that celebrities don't get to go to cons unless the fans really want them. Suggestions for guests: Matt Smith John Simm David Blue Karen Gillan Sam Worthington Patrick Stewart David Hewlett Elisabeth Sladen (I met her at this years LFCC, but I still love her :) ) That's just a few off the top of my head.
  21. I didn't get to properly meet Mr Shatner, but on the Sunday, when me and my cousin were eating lunch (we didn't knwo we were standing by the private celebrity area), Mr Shatner walked past and say "hey guys" to both of us. Joel got it straight away but it didn't register with me until I saw his face right at the last possible second. Needless to say, we geeked out, lol. Just wish I had my camera on at the time. David Nykl also walked by a nodded. Luckily, I already had his autograph, a picture and Joel (my cousin) had shook his hand before this time
  22. I remember hearing about his asthma issues in 2008, although I am not 100% sure. I realize he is in his 70's and not quite so "sprightly" as he once was. I'm just glad I got to apologize for my rude behaviour in 2009. I hope he wasn't in any distress or pain at LFCC 2010 though as he is an awesome fellow and doesn't deserve to be ill in any way.
  23. I didn't stay in a hotel. I stayed with my cousin Joel in Hounslow since he came with me to LFCC 2010. I made a few new friends who also happened to be Doctor Who fans at LFCC 2010 so maybe we will arange a hotel for next year. :)
  24. When I was at LFCC 2010, I saw Kenny in a wheelchair and unable to speak. His wife was with him. I went upto apologize to him after I accidently snapped at him at LFCC 2009 (people were talking to me from all directions after I met Mr Baker for the first time at LFCC 2009. Kenny said to me to not let his signature get smudged on my Star Wars Original Trilogy Gold Boxset, I snapped at him by accident and said "all right!"). Part of the reason I went to LFCC 2010 was to personally apologize for the way I spoke to him in 2009. He nodded, and his wife spoke for him, saying thank you for apologizing. He may or may not have remembered who I was, but his wife seemed generally greatful. Anyway, I was just wondering if he was doing okay. I didn't like seeing him in a wheelchair and not seem to not be able to speak. My reaction to him in the previous year was not deserved and I only hope he can forgive me for it.
