  1. Vince has changed. Whether people like to admit it or not, but he is changing. A year ago no one would have even dreamed of saying that 7 very green rookies will headline main event SummerSlam. Times are changing. Jay Lethal is getting a push. The Guns are finally Tag Champions. Joe should be there, but politics prevent him. Just because he let rip when Russo ordered Borash to call a 30 second time limit countdown in a cracking match vs Jeff Hardy, he is suspended for a month. Joe has a cult following. Heel or Face, he draws. AJ Styles is an absolutely tragic heel. He needs to be a FACE. TNA has so many potential feuds and storylines that are not being explored. The same can be said for the WWE, but at least they are moving forward. TNA has a chance to move forward, but it is mired in bad mistakes. Hogan and Bischoff have not been the catalyst hoped for. TNA have one way forward, and his name is Paul Heyman.
  2. I love watching these type of programs. With my Grandfather (Dad's side) based in North Africa and Italy during WWII, and my other Grandfather (Mum's side) based in England as ground crew to the brave pilots, I find these windows into what they did interesting to say the least.
  3. The Blackpool Chairman is stepping down citing that he feels he cannot work with any of the other Premier League due to their attitudes towards wages, agents fees etc. Having put a £10,000 per week cap on wages, he said that "the game is now about money and not about football!. Sources: Various media outlets including Sky Sports News.
  4. Not fussed about the rest of the card. Bryan Danielson is back, and Night Of Champions can't come quickly enough. Despite coming on a lot, I despise The Miz. He is poor at best. He makes a very green Rock look stellar. And please, someone shut COle up. He is not even a heel commentator. He is just plain crap.
  5. Did I ever mark out for Daniel Bryan's retrurn last night at Summer Slam or what? This has got to be the biggest "work" ever.
  6. Not Johnny Depp in a month of Sundays. He would butcher it and I am a fan of JD. MC Hall all the way. Must also have my favourite blonde beauty of all time there...Julie Benz.
  7. There has already been indication of another series, but timing will depend on Dr Who production. As regards a stand alone convention or event....not on this one series. You could get the guests to a signing, but not a full on Sherlock event. Even if you included all versions of SH, it would probably not work.
  8. Former WWE Superstar Lance McNaught aka Lance Cade has passed away at the age of 29 due to heart failure. With a history of prescription sleeping pill addictions, this is a sad end for one of HBK's original students. The WWE confirmed the passing away citing that the McNaught family (Lance's Dad specifically) had informed of the passing.
  9. At last, a rule that makes sense. With Arsene Wenger moaning about the new 25 Man Squad limit with 8 homegrown players, this can only be good for the national teams in the UK. Money may be able to buy you top players, but it can't guarantee you can "buy the league" as has been suggested of teams past and present (namely Chelsea and Manchester City). The German 2010 World Cup squad was made up of players from the Bundasliga.
  10. The problem was, in the latter part of his international career, those who were given the chance didn't perform. Becks always performed. He was Mr Reliable. Plain and simple, the majority of the youngsters bottled it.
  11. A bit of a sweeping statement. Some fans do care. I care as he is using a friendly to blood youngsters that are our future. These friendlies are determined by FIFA, so no point anyone moaning like Lampard has done. He is one of the squad who should keep his mouth shut as he didn't play to his potential in South Africa. I find it funny that so many "fans" moan that Capello doesn't bring through Youth, yet moan when he does. Damned if he does, damned if he doesn't. Well, it seems that David Beckham is done in internationals as Capello has said he is a little too old for 2012 Euros. I wonder if he told him prior to the interview going out tonight?
  12. I was thinking that as well...we need more supporters. Mind you, the Prem starts this weekend, so it should pick up. Carling Cup this week, and Pompey won. Bristol City v Millwall has not had any trouble in Bristol for many years, but that changed this past weekend with trouble away from the ground. Sad times.
  13. From what I understand coming out of HMRC statements throughout this whole situation, is that the delays and raises in the debt level appear to have been down to them quite significantly. From when Pompey first had financial issues, the amount HMRC claimed that they were owed was a small percentage of the £24,000,000 Pompey claim they now owe them. Penalty after penalty was added, despite the fact no end was in sight. I have considered that this was possibly done to ensure that the original amount is garnered through the CVA reduced repayment. Two days before the CVA vote, HMRC raised the stakes by claiming another £13,000,000. If it is just 20% that HMRC will get, and I seem to remember hearing that they will actually get more than that, then that amount will be nearer to what they were originally owed. CVA's do impact businesses connected to the company concerned. However, it does begger belief that some of these businesses that are owed money by Pompey continued to supply goods and services when they were not getting paid. Where my sympathies lie with those who have lost money, if a business allows an outstanding balance to grow like some apparently have, then a portion of the blame must lie with them. I truly hope that Pompey learn from this. It seems the Premier League have. With the current take over of Liverpool coming to a head, the new owners coming in will have already proven that they have the money and equity to do what they promise.
  14. I'm glad you said "some" as some of us men are thoughtful.
  15. Jerry Lynn v RVD at Hardcore Justice looks to be off due to Jerry Lynn being injured. Nothign official from TNA. So, it is a waiting game.
  16. This is happening in so many places. It is the sign of the financial markets. Places are increasing prices to recoup losses. The consumer is the one impacted.

    Lost: The Epilogue

    Where to find it?
  18. There is another poster who I chat with on here from time to time, but us NCIS Agents seem thin on the ground. Treated myself today with the first season of NCIS LA on dvd...:)
  19. Who in the name of a Kit Kat Chunky is Greek Doris?
  20. Great news that Pompey have a chance to rebuild. With HMRC failing in their attempt to block a CVA, they can now get back to football. Good Luck Pompey. Even better news, Liverpool are winning 4-0 over two legs at Half Time in their Europa League qualifier.
  21. Definition of shooting yourself in the foot by TNA: 1. Allow an interview to run in a Wrestling Magazine with one of your founding members that clearly shows he is far from happy. 2. Have a brilliant match going with two of the most over talents with the fans, loved by the fans, and respected by the fans, but then announce that there are 30 seconds left in a 10 minute time limit match never announced as a 10 limit time limit match. All this despite one of your founder members asking the time limit announcement not be made. Then, following aforementioned founding member verbally berating the writers, suspend him. The two founding members are: 1. AJ Styles - magazine interview in Pro Wrestling Illustrated. 2. Samoa Joe - the suspension has not been confirmed, but script rewrites happened and Joe was then not even flown into Orlando. This reeks of what happened to Kevin Nash months back where his suspension was for verbally going off on one. Come on TNA. You have senior experienced talent trying to help, but you hire moronic monkeys as writers. You do the math.
