  1. Heat wasn't really a hassle in costume, yes it was hot, but it's always hot when you wear one. We were stationed right by the restaurant which was pumping out heat like no one's business, so we just took regular breaks outside in the cold to drum up business and to appreciate the warmth a bit more :)
  2. I know the Olympia Italian Jobsworth guy had a go at me for putting a sign up on a wall and told me to take them down. I have no doubt he was on a mission and a potential cause of missing informational posters.
  3. I must admit I was a little disappointed with the Cosplay turn out, I'm guessing it was the weather but the place seemed really drab without the dressers uppers (if that's a word). So to all the people I recognised: Catwoman (Emme/Wonderwoman from LFCC) Multiple Man Rogue & her entourage (She was at LFCC) Starfleet officer All the Doctor Whos Arnie (Who I ended up having a drink with in the end) Cloud Stryfe Ghostbusters The Furries The Manga people I just never recognise Terminator biker lady (How can i forget that finger?) Thanks for dressing up!
  4. Yeah, he confirmed it to me when I looked at him, though I was wearing a helmet and holding a gun at the time :) It was clever, though I bet the cut out was getting tiresome to hold after a while.
  5. I'll say in Showmasters' defence, there were a lot of things that were out of their control at the event. I was witness to several examples of Olympia events staff undermining the work that Showmasters staff had set out. There was one particular Italian sounding gentleman who loved to throw his weight around in a Jobsworthy way.
  6. All three Fetts would be awesome at the event, the ever loveable Jeremy Bulloch, LFCC Fan favorite Daniel Logan and Jango Fett Temuera Morrison :) Jeremy told me at LFCC that he only lives 10 mins away from Earls Court.
  7. What would also be nice is to have a tardis installation, LFCC was full to the eyeballs of Doctor Who Cosplayers, so to have a meeting point/photo thing would be quite cool :)
  8. No problem ^^ your armour was amazing! Ta muchly, built the helmet myself :) If you are serious about making some armour, try typing Mandalorian Mercs Costume Club into a search engine, join the forum and my name (Saz) is the same there and we'll help you out.
  9. Heh! That's me! Is it ok if I use that photo for the Mandalorian Mercs UK website?
  10. I stayed at the Oxford and it was £70 a night there, it was clean, if a bit pokey and the breakfast was a little sparse, however, it did the job really, which was a place for me to put my head down, a shower and a little bit of space to hang my armour. My only issue was that my room was right under the 24 hour reception, so on the friday night I was woken up by the guy at the desk tramping around a lot, though I must admit, I'm sure it was partial excitement as well.
  11. Nothing of the sort, we just interacted with people in the queue giving out wanted posters to people to look out for famous rebel star wars characters. People were in the queues for over 20 minutes and we just went out to split up the waiting time, I think only one person didn't want to know and I left them alone immediately. For example there was a princess peach and I asked her if she'd seen Princess Leia because: "you know, you royalty stick together and such!" :) Though I must admit, I tend to go towards the people who look at you from the side and pretend to ignore you in the hopes that you don't spot them. That sort of body language actually screams "look at me!"
  12. More like a lot of photos in quick succession, but someone's managed to capture my stand out moment of LFCC :)
  13. Heh! I remember her, she was one of my queue "victims"!!
  14. Just noticed the Tardis 2 lot were there, odd I didn't see them at LFCC or I would have said "hi", we were chasing them around at CM16 for their Youtube vid. :)
  15. Well, let me be the first to apologise for not appreciating the view, it was hot enough in my helmet as it was Man card has been handed in...
  16. I wouldn't think my codpiece would have the same effect
  17. Yeah, it's likely I shall be there wearing my bucket with the Mandalorian Mercs :)
  18. This could be confusing because there were a few black cats around during the weekend, I remember the one in the above photo and another one who was bordering on toppling due to the height of her heels. There was another one who bent down to pick something up right in front of me at the table and I noticed she had a "toilet" zip, which I thought was quite handy in that catsuit. I think I need to hand in my man card because that was all I thought about during that incident...
  19. Daniel's just sent us a little thank you message, so he's active on Facebook :)
  20. If you click on the title it starts working.
  21. Hiya, Do you mind if i use this pic: For the Mando Mercs website please? If so, let me know who to credit the picture to :)
  22. Sorry, here's a pic to show you who we mean:
  23. Hi guys, I was wondering if anyone would like to donate some shots for the UK Mandolorian Mercs website, we're compiling all our shots that we had for this wonderful and fun event and would love to share some of the moments that we had with the guests at LFCC. What we've decided to do is do a guest page for people to show the photos that they had with us and thanks to all on here who have graciously given permission for us to use the ones I have found so far. We'll give full credit to the picture owner. As a personal note, if we did pose with you, thank you for taking interest :) Saz
  24. , I was going to put the exact opposite. The only thing I could understand was the guests name - mumble mumble mumble Katee Sackhoff mumble mumble mumble! Oddly, I had a helmet on and my comms unit eariece and I heard every announcement fine, as soon as I took my helmet of it was really mumbled... really can't explain that fellah!
