  1. I agree. More Star Trek guests for all. ...well, and Battlestar Galactica, as well.
  2. Michael Gross was my favourite. We talked for a while about Family Ties. Very nice and friendly guy. Also Football legend Geoff Hurst. As I introduced myself he asked where I am from (-I can't hide my strong Italian accent despite my best efforts... ). I told him that I am from Palermo and he recalled last year's UEFA cup tie when West Ham lost twice to Palermo (1-0 and 3-0). Nice person.
  3. I was one of the 700 lucky people. I have to say that after the "Shatner Experience" nothing bothers me anymore. Said that, Patrick was ok, he looked up and acknowledged me and my wife, smiled and said "you're welcome" when we thanked him for coming. In fairness, considering the time available and the chaotic situation he could not do better than that. May I thank the guy and the girl at the back of the queue (yes, those screaming "numbers" and giving directions for the whole day - well, until 2pm...); I don't know them personally but I want to say that they have done a great job under pressure, with authority and competence. I know it is impossible to make everyone happy but it is because of people like these that showmasters events are so good. Ok, time to go and contemplate my signed photos before going to bed...
  4. To personalise or not to personalise? May I offer a complete different experience? I met Claudia Christian (Babylon 5) and spent 20 minutes talking (she found out I am Italian and she wanted to practise with the language - her Italian was very good, anyway). When the time came to choose the picture to sign she asked to look at her collector with special photos. They were pictures of her, naked! I was so embarassed (my wife was there as well) that I vaguely muttered something like "...these are not interesting ...the B5 picture will do..."! People react differently because they are different. If all our experiences with the guests were all the same it would be boring...
  5. Of course it will be a disaster... my credit card is going to explode. Stay away from me. Save yourselves.
  6. Pleasant surprise! Well done Showmasters. Keep surprising us...!
  7. Great guest! I already have his auto as Freddy, now I need another one for my "V" collection. ...and, yes: this is going to be expensive...!
  8. Totally agree! Roma Caput Mundi!
  9. The Credit Card people are going to give me the award for "Best customer of the year"... Too many cool guests; I can't take it anymore...
  10. Yes indeed. I would also add Max Von Sydow.
  11. Wow! Las Vegas is quite far away! I truly hope Spock might come to MK or London. Please SM, make the miracle! I missed Data (and Walter Koenig) in 2004 as my son was not well that day and I could not go (I still remember it...). Giuseppe.
  12. Spock? Where did you get it from?! I am envious! Data?! You have already met him, then.
  13. I understand Chiara72's impatience and I hope Brent can make it. However, I think it is unfair to discuss about guests' popularity; all guests are equally important because of the good memories each one of us have... It looks like Patrick Stewart will probably attend. Good. I need both guys to complete my ST-TNG collection. For Chiara72 who writes from Italy and cannot know Kryten. He is a Data-like character from the British SciFi-Comedy series Red Dwarf, never broadcast in Italy.
  14. I always decide to go the week before the event takes place! Lucky me, I live in Essex: I can afford to wait and see but I am sorry for the other fans, especially for those coming from abroad. Let's also hope all the guests can make it, especially Patrick Stewart and Brent Spiner.
  15. I have always been happy with Showmasters' work and commitment. They will do well with another show as well. I know there are great expectations but give time and be patient. I see their last reply has been posted at around 3 a.m.! I can't certainly say that they don't care...
  16. Nice guest. He also sang "Avenues and Alleyways" which was the theme of Gerry Anderson's live action series "The Protectors"!
  17. I agree. And don't forget "Inferno" (my favourite) with the wonderful soundtrack by Keith Emerson.
  18. Thank you, Sportsmania. It looks like I have to schedule an extra trip to MK this year... PS More guest announcements? What about cyclist legend Chris Boardman...
  19. Cycling legend multi-champion Chris Boardman, please.
  20. Nice guest. I remember him in a very good performance in a Millennium episode.
  21. Nooo! I am envious! Martin is a true icon (and my favourite actor too) and it would be very nice to see him at any of the Showmasters events.
