  1. One thing that would be great to add to it would be the comic panel stage agenda items. That schedule was only available each day on the day pinned outside the room, which meant my friend missed out on one they would have really wanted to go to. The scehdule posters were printed so must have been pre-agreed. Add them to app, post them on the forum, even put all 3 days schedules outside the hall...it was just really weird that this stage was completely unadvertised. Even the star wars stage which was new this year was included in the app agenda. It was a shame to miss it.
  2. Can anyone see the Sunday talk in the shop? It seems to be missing...
  3. She posted a sweet, thankful pic on insta of herself and two gifts - not sure if that's the pin but I doubt she binned it! Probably just didn't want to ruin her cute top with a pinhole!
  4. I didn't find that at all with Arthur - he was cheery in a 9.30am photoshoot, joking and apologising when he quickly paused to drink coffee. Considering his play had had its final night the evening before, I was impressed how with it he was! And then for the auto at 2.45 he was really chatty, eye contact and instigated conversation himself (based on the thing he was signing). He's easily now one of my best encounters ever. That said, thanks to some severe miscommunication between the blueshirts manning his auto queue, a lot of people ended up being very upset as somehow Arthur popping away for a quick 10 mins was converted into everyone in the queue being told he was done for the day (at 2.30pm). Some people walked off and I don't know if they ever checked later. Mistakes happen and crew apologised but try and triple check these things before closing a queue like that, as it causes unnecessary upset and makes the guest look bad without cause! Finally, completely unrelated but my only big gripe with the whole weekend was the paid izombie talk - I was in the queue 15 mins before start time, and queue was unmoving/waiting for a good 10 mins before things started filtering. By the time I got in it had already started. If it's a paid talk I feel it's your duty to get people seated in time for start. You know how many tickets you sold, open the hall for seating early enough to process that.
  5. TFL just sent out a road closures email - on Sunday Talgarth Road will be closed for the ride. Both Baron's Court and West Ken tube exits are on the south side of the road and Olympia is north. There's no info on if there will be crossing points but that entire stretch of the A4 will be closed https://tfl.gov.uk/status-updates/major-works-and-events/ridelondon-sunday-29-july Also the 9 and 10 bus routes that run down Hammersmith rd are affected but again it doesn't say how. I'd guess just a bit all over the place timewise as traffic will be bad. If you're worried I recommend using the TFL route planner - you can ask it to filter based on things like preferred mode of transport and station access, and by now it should have all the alerts in place for the bike ride. Personally I think everyone's best bet on Sunday if Talgarth is uncrossable is Olympia Overground station, or Hammersmith Tube and bus/walk.
  6. So this is my 7th year attending lfcc summer and I wanted to drop in some pros/suggestions for next year :) Pros -Layout. This is the second year you've done it this way and I still can't get over how much better it is now main stage/autos/photos are away from the trading hall. Also the additon of the pillar hall for second stage this year was great. -Main stage closed off. Thanks for taking on board the complaints last year of people watching paid talks from the back of the room! Also the surprise talk prizes were a fun addition and well managed. -Number of amazing guests and talks you guys out did yourselves -Bagcheck/ticket scan before queuing is a brilliant system for fast entry at opening and was well managed from what I could tell -Talk MC (I did alan tudyk, benedict cumberbatch and chris judge) being very on the ball and excellent at jumping in with his own questions to relieve tension should an audience member inevitably ask an awkward/inappropriate question. And the cosplay masquerade MC was on incredible form, great guy. Suggestions for next year -Big signs to mark where to queue if diamond or ga ticket for talks. The main stage sign in two places just meant people joined the first they saw and I saw people being sent around to ga after queueing at diamond. Similarly, need to have a blueshirt queue managing ga constantly. The benedict c talk started out with two ga queues because people got there so early and when I asked the young blueshirt nearby which i should join he just laughed nervously and said at the moment they're both standard. (a brilliant dark haired blueshirt lady came along later with amazing q management skills to sort it out though) -Make a simple last minute map of where your signing tables are. You've got so many guests now it's a maze and a bit nuts to try and find vq especially as some were spilled out to the balcony. Took us ages to find john rhys davies on the saturday as no blueshirt seemed to know where he'd been put! I imagine it'll only get bigger as years go on! -Cloakroom control by talking with venue about requirements beforehand, as already mentioned above. We found the one at yalc so were lucky. -Finally a little odd one although I'm sure this is more to do with behind doors contracts and talks. At the end of Chris Judge's talk CJ asked why he wasn't in the RDA talk later. He also wasn't aware he only had a half hour until time was called which I'm surprised hadn't been communicated prior. I know one was free and one was paid but I do find it weird when you have people from the same show who don't do talks together. I had a great weekend and look forward to next year!
  7. Hi - if I want to get a ticket for the sherlock talk and have a prepaid entry ticket, do I join the queue for EC1, or will these be handed out in a different hall? Also the post about the LFCC programs said these would be available to buy on the door - will this just be the EC2 door? Thanks! :)
  8. Hi! So I've emailed but no response (info@showmasters). I ordered an entry ticket for saturday and a photoshoot for saturday too, but when the tickets arrived I was gievn the entry for sunday instead despite the accompanying letter clearly saying saturday. I don't have access to a printer readily so printing out the original order would be a real problem for me. What do I do? Ideally I'd like an confirmation email from you guys so that when I show up on saturday with a ticket that says one thing and a bit of paper that says another I can show the guys on the door your email on my phone? A reply would be awesome :)
  9. This has made life/decision making so simple for me! Thanks for the awesome rescheduling guys!
  10. Yeah I know, but that's what it says next to gold, silver says the 'limited in numbers' thing it has when they're running low. I was just wondering if that was H3 accurate, or left over from H2 website format :)
  11. Hi! Just wanted to ask whether the bit on the website about silver being limited in numbers is left over from the last event's format, or if this is up to date for next year. Also thought I'd point out that the online shop ticket description still says it's at the thistle. Thanks!
