  1. Well, this happened with Beatrice Libert last year. She cancelled at the last moment but she is present to the show this year. Stars have their own important schedule and we all have to respect that. Ivana Milicevic will be available next year or the subsequent year. Autographica has brought us a lot of great actors and actresses and this is a situation that is out of their control. They always do their utmost to introduce us to awesome people so no despair and let's all enjoy the show this year. See you all there!
  2. I had the incredible chance to meet Ernest Borgnine when he attended Autogaphica a couple of years ago (if I remember well). He was one of the last giant of the movie industry, a ture legend. It was truly an honor to have met him. Thanks to you Ernest for having brighten my youth and my life in general. RIP! Thank you to Autographica for having brought him at NEC Birmingham for us to meet him. It was a wonderful moment for all of us!
  3. It is not because I have a 007 that everything has to be related to 007. I enjoyed meeting Ernest Borgnine, George Kennedy, actors from Willy Wonka and Edward Fox (had a small role in 007 but his role in The Day of the Jackal was superb), Tony Curtis, Susannah York and Linda Gray were among the very fine guests at Autographica. And this is just to name a few. if you go back to the last 4 years, you will see there are many more wonderful actors that are NOT 007. A balance, in my opinion, is necessary to draw some interests from the public. Speaking of 007, yes I will go to Beaulieu to see the exhibition on Bond cars and I won't miss it for the world. But being a fan does not mean to be obsessed by it. It does not need to be overwhelming for all the other guests also. I, personally, like variety in everything. Too much of a good thing does not attract me too much after a while. It gets a bit boring don't you agree? Movies are not exclusively 007. There are millions of excellent movies and actors alike. Let's invite them to Autographica! Those named above are superb examples of what autographica is capable of. Go dig deeper and harder for us Autographica. Show us what you are capable of. Buzz Aldrin is a great example of what you can achieve. To find those excellent guests, look at the guest list proposed by Autographica base fan on this website. Trying does mean Autographica can succeed but it does not cost anything to try and try again and harder. VARIETY is the key word!
  4. Autographica brings a lot of incredible guests but would it be possible to limit the number of Bond guests and bring more guests from other movies and be a bit more balanced in the choice of guests. i think of great movies like Terminator, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, the Avengers, etc... I do know that there are other shows bringing us these wonderful actors but I also think that Bond guests should not take over the list of guests at Autographica. In my opinion, it would limit too much the type of visitors attending Autographica. Has Autographica become 'Bondgraphica'? Please bring other actors that did not perform in Bond besides the usual war people and other astronauts. That I think would be an extra asset for everyone. I look forward non Bond guests in the near future! thanks for reading and understanding my point of view. I do know you guys are doing the best and it shows extremely well in the past Autographica. To my next Autographica 2012, the best ever!
  5. all the guests that I talked to were very nice, talkative and friendly. I truly enjoyed being there with them this sunday. I think that it was probably the best Autographica I attended in years. The guests were great! The atmosphere was warm, friendly and the hotel was very easy to find as opposed to last year. It was definitely a beter choice. I was a bit disappointed by the fact that Honor Blackman did not accept for me to take a photo with her, especially since there was no sign displayed. But in the end, I am quite happy I could talk to her and that I could get her autograph. She was very chatty and I enjoyed being in her presence at Autographica. She is a wonderful, warm and kind lady.
  6. I just received mine in the mail this morning. Both of them are perfect! Thanks again for a job well done!
  7. I could not wait until the photos were ready so i had to ask the folks at a table to send them out to me. I wonder how long it will take? I was told between one and three weeks. That seems a bit odd, especially since they have to be sent out here in England and not abroad. I am now counting the days until I finally receive them. Have others had any experience similar to me? How long did it take for you to receive them? Were they damaged? was there a mistake on the delivery? Did you receive all the photos taken by the photographer? The photographer for whatever reason took three. Will I get the three of them, even if it is not perfect?
  8. For me, the best way to avoid this kind of stress, I only want autograph from people that I meet face to face at the show. I would never order any autograph from any one. To me, the purpose of getting the autograph is to meet the person live, there, in front of me. I have no interest whatsoever to get an autograph from someone I have never met. What is the point of that?
  9. Claire Forlani Anthony Hopkins Christopher Plummer Tom Selleck Vincent d'Onofrio Sylvia Syms
  10. Michelle Yeoh, would love to meet with her. She is super on the silver screen, very attractive and she would be very difficult to 'beat' as a guest. She'd be the highlight of Autographica! No doubt!
  11. Sir Roge would be perfect.... I have been waiting for so long to meet him I have to say!
  12. I was hoping to meet him last year. He was a guest but due to health reason, he had to cancel. I wish I had met him once because he was trully the best Watson ever. He will be missed!
  13. He is the Man!!!!! We want him here! Would be the best guest ever....
  14. You guys are all absolutely right but perhaps, adding one of those 'extra' guests like Hamilton would add some spices to Autographica. It is true that attracting more famous people in one go (like for example in London or Milton Keynes) would definitely make Autographica busier than ever. I still remember how busy it was when I personally met Ernest Borgnine. It was really nice. This would definitely bring more cash to the organizers by having those extra names on the list though. Maybe not as good for us perhaps. Too crowded and less perosnal. I understand that I could attend more shows a year but it does cost money and there are a lot of other things I need to take in consideration too! I may decide to go to the show in July but then I would have to pass on Autographica. Who knows? We'll see!
  15. I have been attending Autographica for the last past 3 years or so and I have always been wondering why Autographica never succeeded in getting actors and actresses like Linda Hamilton or even Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa. In regard to Bond actors, it would be a nice to have Bond male actors that have had usually a more substantial role than women in most of the cases (at the exception of Ursula Andress and Tanya Roberts). I noticed that most of the male actors are present in other shows like Showmasters or LFCC. Perhaps, Autographica managment should try to get those actors and actresses to attend Autographica. It would be really nice, especially since in my case this is the only show I personally attend a year due to other important committment.
  16. Sorry to break it to you folks but i do not want to be the one who destroys people's dreams but I do consider that paying such a high amount of money for an autograph is definitely not worth it. In my opinion, no one in his/her right mind, even for someone that famous, would pay such an obscene amount of money for an authograph. I still think I have not lost my common sense and my priorities in life. With that amount of money, I can buy food, pay for my council tax and other things that are much more important in my daily life. Anyone, of course, is entitled to one's opinion and I will not discourage anyone to go for it! Everyone has his/her own priorities, especially in these difficult times ahead of us where jobs are scarce and money even more!
  17. Hi All, I like this version better. At lest, that will cut seriously on the cost! One show is better than two anyway! As long as there are more guests, we will have more choice! But if there are more guests, perhaps one thing that would ned to be done is to extand to 3 or 4 days just like Collectormania in Milton Keynes so that we have the time to meet all the people we wish to greet! The more the better and the longer it last, the better too! Perhpas a long week-end during the summer would be more appropriate. Again, I think of Collectormania in Milton Keynes. But Bravo for the idea and the courage of changing the whole concept! Keep up the good work guys!
  18. Hi all, Here is another sad news. Actress Susannah York Dies From Cancer 1 hour 38 mins ago © Sky News 2011 Actress Susannah York Dies From Cancer Enlarge photo .She achieved international fame in a string of classic movies and starred alongside a host of legendary actors including Elizabeth Taylor, Marlon Brando and Peter O'Toole. York was best known for her roles in A Man For All Seasons and They Shoot Horses - Don't They, for which she received an Oscar nomination. Her son, actor Orlando Wells, told The Sunday Telegraph that York died on Saturday from advanced bone marrow cancer. "She was an absolutely fantastic mother, who was very down to earth," Wells said. "She loved nothing more than cooking a good Sunday roast and sitting around a fire of a winter's evening. In some sense, she was quite a home girl." During the 1970s York's film roles became less notable, although she appeared in the box office smash Superman, but she continued to enjoy an extensive stage career. "She was as happy in a pub theatre in Islington as she was in Hollywood," Wells said. She also starred in several TV roles, including a stint on Casualty. Away from acting, York wrote two children's books and was an ardent anti-nuclear campaigner. She vigorously worked for the release of Israeli whistleblower Mordechai Vanunu who disclosed secrets that revealed the Jewish state was building atomic bombs. She was in Israel when Mr Vanunu was finally set free in 2004 after 18 years in jail. Sir Tom Stoppard, the playwright and screenwriter, paid tribute to the actress. "I remember back in 1961 when I was a young journalist, I interviewed her for a magazine for her film Greengage Summer, and I still remember how completely charmed I was," he said. I had the incredible chance to meet her at Autographica a year ago. I thought she was awesome in the movie: 'The Battle of Britain'. I will miss her dearly as an actress and also a a warm, cordial, friendly person. We had a down to earth conversation with each other and I will never forget her strong personality. My thoughts go to her family and friends. At the same time, I would like again to thank Autographica for bringing us the best actors in the business and thank them for giving us the chance to meet her in person. Thank you Susannah York for being who you are and thank you for givng us so much on the silver screen. Another sad day in perspective!
  19. Merry Xmas and a Happy New Year 2011 full of success for your super team. Hoping to see you all next year!
  20. Hi all, Last year I had the opportunity to meet Leslie Nielsen. To me, he was an awesome comedian and I will miss him greatly. He was kind, generous, friendly and he talked to me like he always knew me. I send all my condolences to his family and I would like to take this opportunity to thank Autographica for the incredible hard work and give us the chance to meet these legends. And Nielsen was one of them! A Giant Among Others! As Ernest Borgnine said to me when I met him a couple years ago: Keep watching! With Leslie Nielsen on the forefront of the news (as a Hollywood Legend), I will keep watching! From all the fans around the world: Thank you for being you and making us laugh all these years! Your fans, truly!
  21. Hi all, So sad! i was supposed to attend this collectormania but I changed my mind because i noticed that the two guests are REALLY wanted to meet are Stephen lang (Avatar) and Hardwicke (Watson). This year both actors have cancelled 3 times there presence at these shows. For hardwicke, he was supposed to attend both autographica but cancelled because of sickness and Lang missed both collectormania in Milton Keynes and the show in london (comic one) I understand very well their reasons for having cancelled their presence at these shows, but 3 times in a year seems to be a lot despite the fact that they were not responsible for these cancellations! I hope that for all the fans' sake and myself, we will be able to catch them next year at either collectormania or autographica. For me, the two main reasons of attending this show is now gone. Hopefully, I am replacing this show with something else that will be equally good! So keep cheering up and Xmas is right around the corner and that is good!
  22. I have now attended Autographica for the past 2 or 3 years now and I have noticed something quite peculiar about the way guests attend the show. It seems that you now have most of the guests attending exclusively saturdays and other attending Sundays. I do understand that guests have their own priorities and that is fine and understandable but it would be great if they still could spend the whole week-end. Not one James Bond girls was present on Sunday for the last Autographica in London. The previous one in Birmingham, there was only George Baker who could only attend on Sunday and one other Bond guest. That kind of scheduling does not make it easy for people who can only free themselves either on Saturday or Sunday. Is it then worth to come on Sunday because the number of guests is down as opposed to sunday? I my case the next Autographica in April and May, I am busy on Saturday and I may have to skip it all together because I am not sure that any of the Bond guests will still be present on that day. Sunday is almost a day without. In that case if the trend continues like that, why not just have Saturday and no Sunday at all. Of course if the date of that week-end was changing like it did happen in the past, that would of course change for the better.
  23. Dear All, I was lucky enough to have met him when he attended autographica a couple of years ago at the Hitlon NEC Birmingham. He was truly a gentleman and he was very nice to myself and my daughter. I will regret him a lot. He was a fantastic actor and a great person. I send my condolences to his wife and daughter. After such a busy career, he can finally rest in peace!
