  1. "One day, I shall come back. Yes, I shall come back... Until then, there must be no regrets, no fears, no anxieties. Just go forward in all your beliefs, and prove to me that I am not mistake in mine. Goodbye, my dear. Goodbye, Susan." - The First Doctor, The Dalek Invasion of Earth. And that is a wonderful speech. I can quote it off by heart, because I think it's incredible.
  2. But what for those of us who can't? I, for example, can't get anywhere near Milton Keynes on the single day that Mary's there. ...And now I see that MK's got Tom as well. I'm now insanely jealous of anyone who gets to go there... Any hope of him as well?
  3. Come on, Showmasters! You got her for C12, can't you get her for G-Mex 3? After all, lots of people must want their Key to Time boxset signing...
  4. Ooh! Thank you for this! ... Shame it's not Mary Tamm or Tom Baker, really. But Pete is - for now, at least - an acceptable substitute.
  5. Aww, Showmasters! Why get Mary to go to the show I can't go to? ...Can you try to get her for G-Mex, out of curiosity? I can get to that one...
  6. I realise that. I was being sarcastic... but I evidently forgot the smilie. Whoops. 'Normal' is hard to define. Someone like Donna, I suppose. Donna, by the end of The Runaway Bride is actually scared of the Doctor, rather than adoring him. However, The Shakespeare Code's "Rose would know what to do" was rather irritating, simply because Rose probably wouldn't know what to do in that situation. The Doctor likes to idealise her in front of Martha, it'd seem. *nods* Death isn't a part of the Doctor though, it's just something that... happens to follow him. He's unlucky like that. This is very true. Though, I'm more of a fan of Romana (Mary Tamm and Lalla Ward) than the new series companions... Time Ladies for the win! =D
  7. Daddy issues are normal amongst late teen girls? ...When did this happen, and why was I not informed? But, to be honest, would normal women fall in love with the Doctor? As Clive said, way back in Rose, his true companion is death. That'd put most people right off. And speaking of Rose, I found the way that the Doctor kept talking about her rather... irritating. Especially "Rose would know what to do" in The Shakespeare Code. I said 'holds promise', not 'won't fall in love'. Two different terms entirely. So, you've got no right to poke me if she does.
  8. Removing Rose was vital. She became irritatingly worshipful of the Doctor, and had all of those incredibly annoying daddy issues. Martha's introduction was good, until she made the mistake of falling in love with him. I love her as a character, but the whole Doctor love thing just made me want to smack her... Donna, however, seems to hold promise for breaking the chain of 'I love you Doctor!' companions. Which will be wonderful. Give the woman a chance, please. And also, please remember that many people do like Donna, as she makes a refreshing change from three years of Doctor adoration.
  9. Thank you, Showmasters! I've been wanting to meet John for years, as he tends to be such a rare guest... Just... thank you! After this, can we get Mary Tamm and a few more Doctor Who guests? It'd be worth it...
  10. ... Donna is the new Tegan. That's all. Anything Tegan did, Donna will do. And then some more stuff on top of that.
  11. I think that Catherine Tate is a fantastic 'straight' actress, when given the chance. She - and Donna - will be a nice addition to all the previous companions.
  12. To add to my previous suggestions... Caroline John, Tom Baker and Katy Manning, please!
  13. I carry a whip as part of my costume, and I'm not sure how long it is. Do I have to keep it coiled up whilst going about the convention floor? Can I use it whilst I'm on-stage? If it makes any difference, I'm only attending Collectormania G-Mex, not any of the others.
  14. Lalla Ward Mary Tamm Louise Jameson Colin Baker John Leeson Elisabeth Sladen Nicola Bryant Sophie Aldred Carole Ann Ford All of the above have been in Doctor Who, amongst other programmes. They'd be worthwhile guests, honest. Please, Showmasters? It'd be awesome.
  15. He's not on the Titanic in the photo, he's on a street in Southampton. You can see the photo on this page. Just look down a bit.
  16. For the costumes that myself and my friends have, we benefit from being able to put on a performance. We're a little Phoenix Wright cosplay group, you see, and doing mock-trials is how we're able to work properly. We don't work with catwalks, to be honest. Perhaps it'd be possible to do two seperate 'events' during the day? One for those who wish to show off their costumes and not perform, and one for those who want to perform?
  17. Phoenix Wright group for me... I'm doing Franziska, and two friends of mine should be doing Phoenix and Edgeworth. *hopehope*
  18. Let's think... Sophie Aldred Colin Baker (Again. Because he's made of awesome.) Sylvester McCoy Carole Ann Ford Elisabeth Sladen Aaaand... any other Doctor Who guests. Because Doctor Who is made of win and awesome.
  19. No, both good. The Macra made me go "ZOMGYAYOLDSCHOOL!", making me quite happy. And I think Doctor Who needs more kittens. They're cute. The episode was pretty good, to be honest. Although I have to wonder why the Doctor didn't use his respiratory bypass system (as referenced in The Two Doctors, amongst others) to go through the smog, it would have made a lot more sense. Also: Boe's message was predictable.
  20. Franziska von Karma, from the Phoenix Wright games. A friend of mine is being persuaded to be Phoenix, and another friend is coming in something he's thrown together himself.
  21. I'm going to G-Mex as Sailor Uranus. Fun, fun. The costume was finished this Wednesday. It's very comfortable. ^^
  22. So far, I'm intending to see: Paul McGann Kate O'Mara Colin Baker If any more Doctor Who guests get announced, I'll go see them as well...
  23. I'd like it if Sophie Aldred came, or Caroline John. Maybe Carole Ann Ford? Or Elisabeth Sladen? Also, Billie Piper would be lovely.

    Doctor Who

I hate to have to point this out, but it's actually Peter Davison. It's quite a common mistake though. ^^ Out of all ten Doctors, William Hartnell is my favourite. He just brought such power to the role...
