  1. I didn't write that bit, but... I'm guessing it means he can also regenerate into a dog. Which would also be various types of fun. XD
  2. I have no problem with a black Doctor, so long as he can act. A woman though.. no, just no. I don't really understand why fans think this would be a good idea? The Doctor is a Time LORD, the Master is a Time LORD, Romana is a Time LADY, Susan is a Time LADY! There are male and female Gallifreyans and the Doctor is a male! It's as simple as that really! We've never been told that the Doctor can't regenerate into a woman... in fact, if we look at the spin-offs, we have Arabella Weir playing the Doctor in the Unbound audios. In fact, to quote from that page that smashes together all the canons: The 'regenerate by committing suicide' part comes from Unbound, presumably, but the rest is apparently from the novels. Isn't Doctor Who canon fun?
  3. It's been forty-five years since the series started. I'd love to see a female Doctor, and really don't see a reason why there shouldn't be one - one of the most powerful figures in Doctor Who history was female, after all... the late, great Verity Lambert. ^^ Change is good, guys. I was brought into the show by NewWho, but prefer the classic series, for the record.
  4. Are we getting any more guests for this event? We're getting close to the event happening, after all...
  5. If Russell Brand is cast, most people will stop watching... or so what I've seen seems to imply. I'd call for either an older actor (á la Billy Hartnell and Jon Pertwee) or a woman to fill the part.
  6. The 'Morbius Doctors' are rarely considered canon, what with the First Doctor introducing himself as "the original" in The Five Doctors. He's also called "the earliest Doctor" in The Three Doctors, if I remember correctly. ...Then again, this is Doctor Who, where canon contradicts itself on a regular basis. Feel free to ignore me. Anyway. He's still on his ninth regeneration/tenth incarnation, in my opinion. If you want a Valeyard, it's possible that 10.5 could be him - parts of fandom think that, at very least.
  7. I've had to draw some reference pictures for a book-based cosplay that I'm considering doing in November. The costume is clear enough, the props are pictured... but there's no detailing on the face. Would that count against me, or not? Because I really can't draw faces.
  8. I'm... less than enthusiastic about this. I didn't like The Girl in the Fireplace or Blink. I thought The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances was good, though. Still. As long as Moffat doesn't make stupid choices, or make another round of not-scary-at-all monsters, I think he'll do well...
  9. I'm using the descriptions from the book to create Cathy and Heathcliff, which means that I'm largely free from using reference pictures for them. ... Which is good, considering that nobody in my circle of friends is willing to draw me a reference picture for them. I don't really blame them, though.
  10. I might be able to find one of my few artistically talented friends and ask them to make a sketch of Cathy and Heathcliff... there's enough description of them throughout the book, after all. Thanks for the suggestion. =D
  11. In the Masquerade entry rules, it says this: The bit I'm interested in is bolded, of course. I'm considering doing Cathy from Wuthering Heights for G-MEX in November. I might also have a Heathcliff, if I'm exceedingly lucky. To do so, how would we get around the issue of reference pictures? Do we not have to provide them, or is there something we have to do in their place...?
  12. That probably would have been me. As far as I can work out, that was the sole Palitoy Dalek for sale within the entire convention... makes me glad I got it, really.
  13. Any particular reason why? When I met him, he was a gentleman. I got myself: Autographs from Sophie Aldred (on Ace!) and Richard Franklin (on The Claws of Axos) The Doctor's Fob-watch A Palitoy Dalek (who needs an eye and a gun, if anyone's able to help.) ...This is a lot less than I got last time, but I'm glad of that. I need money to live, after all.
  14. Right. I've figured out where my waistcoat is. ...It's at my Aunt's, for no explicable reason. She says she'll post it to me on Wednesday, so it should get back in time for me to go to G-MEX as Franziska. I've also lost the broach-thing for my cravat, but I think I can do without that. Hopefully.
  15. Burn should be good to see. Thanks for replacing Naoko so promptly, Showmasters.
