There are usually very friendly people you can hook up with. I've been to one before. I'm going to this event alone, as soon as I've saved a bit more money for Gold! I'd offer to hang out with you but i know that it's usually the younger attendees who post here and I'm one of the older mature attendees and likely to be a bit boring in the evening

Thanks for a brilliant time! I went on my own so enjoyed wandering around the dealers and trying to remember where my fave ones were, and when I was tired I sat in on some of the talks/Q&A's that I might not have bothered with and really enjoyed them. I got a brilliant photo with David Tennent and even though I was one of the last few to go through he was still happy to pose and made my day. And clean loos with no queues for two days with thousands of guests is quite an achievement!!

I've been to all the Hubs and have only been disappointed in one guest. Like others have said there can be real surprises, especially if the guests are good sports. And believe me if you have Kai as a guest you'll be completely blown away.....he's a con legend

One of those folders with the plastic pockets is useful for all your photos, schedule, signing pass ect. !!!

I asked him last year about doing a Hub and he said he'd never been approached. I'm sure he'd be up for Hub 6 if it fitted with his other committments. Edit by 1of2: Please don't mention other events on here. Thanks.

I'm a firm believer in only going to a con because you love the show. There's always alot of love at Hub cons cos of the dedicated fan base and I hope it will continue to be a Hub con rather than a Star con.

This sounds wonderful. If I could start my career again I would do set design. I'm not naturally arty just keen and willing. I'm down on the south coast and don't have much spare time though. Hope you can find someone.

Great guest but this does seem to be turning into a Buffy/Angel convention, not that I mind but I was looking forward to Firefly guests.

Completely Agree! The lad who played young Jack at the first Hub event was a brilliant guest. He was fun. confident and articulate and had some great stories. All guests have something to offer, whatever part they have played and however small. I'm sure Ben will be able to share his own Torchwood experiences and will also be a great guest. Please can we be aaccepting and have no more guest bashing.

OMG Have I just died and gone to heaven!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Tis a bit naughty re paying out extra but you always gets your monies worth with James. He will be a fab guest!
